  1. Actually the creator went on record saying that all names (personal and team titles) in Remnant have to be either: A) A color. B Means some color in another language. C) Sounds like a color. Or D) Makes you think of a color.
  2. *adjusts glasses, nasally voice* Um, well, actually it's a berry and "juniper" is actually a deep, rich green color. RWBY can be pretty liberal with what constitutes a color, but I like it like that. It creates room to be very creative.
  3. Actually, my friend is writing a fanfic that is basically a giant crossover of every story ever told. He made a Beacon team made of an OC called Roy, Korra from the Avatar universe, Lift and another OC named Simon. Together they're team RKLS (reckless). Technically not a color, but still encompasses the characters pretty well.
  4. As Yom Kippur, the Jewish holiday of atonement, begins in just a few short hours, I would like to formally ask for forgiveness from anyone on the Shard whom I may have insulted or made to feel bad in any way. I also want to say that if any of you think that you may have done the same to me, I wholeheartedly forgive you. This is not just a day for asking for forgiveness from G-D, but also from each other. Gmar chatima tovah. May you have a favorable judgement.
  5. .... *tentatively raises hand* ...I play classic guitar. Harmony, I feel like such a square.
  6. Once I had a dream in which I felt absolutely awful. I had a stomach ache and just felt all around cremmy. But then I woke up and found out that I actually was sick, so I'm not sure if it counts.
  7. A shadow. (Septimus Heap FTW!)
  8. As a fan of role-playing games, I highly recommend watching this.
  9. Hey, a phobia doesn't have to be rational. In fact, they rarely are.
  10. Guess who's going to a lecture on Sanderson's three laws of magic at a local con with @Delightful?
  11. Ditto. But apart from that, I also have an irrational fear of floating in the middle of the ocean alone because of some unimaginably large creature that might be lurking beneath. Not necessarily malevolent, just...so big it doesn't even notice when it crushes you to death or drowns you.
  12. I call it Hebrish. It rolls off the tongue better. My sister and I speak English and Hebrew well, being raised in both Israel and Canada. Our younger siblings, however, have been raised only in Israel and the only English they hear is from home. Therefore, whenever they speak English, it comes out Hebrish. It also occurred to me that when they grow up, they'll probably have different accents than me and my sister as well as a different preferred language. It's weird to think about.
  13. I read your other post about Spongebob!co-worker with no context. I was very confused.
  14. I live in an area with tons of those caves. There's this one called Tel Goded that we like to go to sometimes. I think I know the entire complex by heart.
  15. We're not really sure, but the general consensus at this point seems to be that it was a dream. Still kind of confusing, though.
  16. To here? Or will you make a seperate thread?
  17. You think that's bad check out some of the fanart for It.Is. Heartwrenching.
  18. Just looked it up Apparently it's Sindarin, to be precise. Edit- just realized that "hir" is also in "Rohirrim" (horse lords). Look at me! I'm linguist-ing!
  19. That sounds Elvish... "Dagor" means "battle", so what does "dagorhir" mean?
  20. One of us. One of us. One of us.
  21. @Delightful @TwiLyghtSansSparkles For some reason, when watching that episode the thing that bothered me the most was at the end when the Jewish guy writes his name on the little scroll, all the rabbis names are written in Hebrew script, not print. This is anachronistic. Script wasn't invented until relatively recently. It may have been around when the guy's father write his name, but not his grandfather. I don't know why, but this tiny thing bothers me the most.
  22. I'm not sure if that video is hilarious or extremely tragic...
  23. Confession time: I sometimes solve those problems in my head just to prove to myself that I can.
