Was Taravangian called Terry before, or is this a new development on this thread? Honest question. Anyway, hurt him, heal her. 9. Bleeder- 36 15. Taravangian- 64

As always, an excellent art batch, even if for some reason, I can't get over Adolin's trademark Kholin® wetsuit and surfboard. Do they sell those in sets? I think I've been speculating about Vorin swimsuit in You Know You're A Sanderfan thread (I ended up with what was basically burqini without head cover and with safehand glove - vorkini!), but you're right, that's more fit to darkeye ladies. Perhaps ligheyes would have some sort of rigid swimming pocket sewn into their left sleeve? It would probably be awful to actually swim in, considering how just holding something in your hand can impact movement in water. Love that highstorm picture, especially the way the face in the storm and the shape of the window make it look like it's a humanoid figure. The only - only! - minor complain I'd have towards this batch of arts is that iron and steel allomancy works towards and away from body's centre of mass, so no way Wit would be able to do this trick unless his right hand is his centre of mass. But it looks cool! Also: there is such thing as Cosmere guys pinup calendar... I am quite literally out of words

@Argel, there were four glossy-paper images at the end of WoK: Shadesmar map, "Voidbinding" chart, Surgebinding chart and Silver Kingdoms Era map of Roshar, though the only relation between this and the others is that it's done in the same style as Surgebinding chart (personally, I see it as supportive evidence for each Herald to be "assigned" to his own kingdom, but YMMV). No idea whether this one was omitted from ebook version.

I find Autonomy to be the most interesting of the bunch, for pretty much the same reason the OP outlined in point 2. Having not read prose White Sand, I don't know if much is said about Bavadin there, but I find him fascinating. On one hand, he's said to be Brandon's favourite Shardholder, and created a world that, for all its shortcomings, does work. On the other, Hoid has some beef with him (also, people that annoy Hoid are sure to be interesting fellows!) and then there's the wild speculation here whether or not he's behind Trell. I'm really curious to finally see him in person. Or in avatar, or something. Considering question number 3, perhaps Tanavast is talking about Rosharans managing to resist the Desolations time and time again, for 99 times. That's gotta count as failure in Odium's eyes. Regarding the number of malevolent Shards, I suppose half of them are benevolent-ish and half malevolent-ish, so they'd be eight of both, with some being closer to gray zone between good and bad than others (for example, you could say that Autonomy sits right in the centre of morality wheel). Not sure what those evil-ish shards would be, though. We've got destruction, hatred and dictatorship, Chaos is a good idea, maybe Despair? I mean, would a divine being like Adonalsium even have Despair in its portfolio?

But isn't Taln an "Alethi" Herald? I mean, he did show up at Kholinar rather than at Stormseat (or Narak, going by its current name), and I've heard something about Heralds each being "assigned" to their own Silver Kingdom. Mind, I'm probably wrong about this, but if it's true, then it's the Kholinar gate that should remain open, not Stormseat's.

Cool idea. I find the Super Bonus (all vs. TLR) to be the most interesting, quite frankly. Do we assume he considers them a credible threat? He kinda dropped the ball with Vin in TFE. Anyway (disclaimer - I'll likely get a ton of stuff wrong), quite frankly, the "normal"-level characters don't stand much chance against Rashek. Shai's soulstamps do not bestow her with supernatural abilities; Dilaf and Hrathen have metal weapons, and Dilaf's special spoiler ability wouldn't have the requisite fuel (I hope you know what I'm saying). Ditto Denth, if he has no Breaths. Haven't read Infinity Blade, but if Siris has metal armour, TLR can pull and push parts of it to pretty much crash the man inside it. Cross him out too. Haven't read Alcatraz so I'll discount him for the purpose of this excercise. The "regulards" could've survived the Inquisitors, though - frankly, with this squad, I don't think Inquisitors would pose much problem. That leaves TLR himself and quite honestly, all the aforementioned folk wouldn't make it pass first few moments. That leaves us with Vin, Eshonai, Adolin, Raoden, David, Kaladin, Wax, Wayne, Susebron and Vasher. While Wax is a steel savant, he's hardly on TLR's level, so he'd have to be dodging for most of the battle - bet TLR is powerful enough to push on metalminds, keeping Wax pinned to the wall. Only other character's intervention could save him from getting killed (impaled by something?). Vin, having more versatile powers, would have higher chances of surviving TLR at his full power, but she has the same weakness - metal on her. Vasher's sword would get abandoned quite quickly for the same reason. Then there's emotional Allomancy. By your starting conditions, Vin doesn't have aluminum, as it's not one of ten basic metals (as far as I remember?). If powerful enough Investiture forbids influence of other investiture (do I recall that correctly?), then all "underInvested" characters - Wax, Wayne, Vin (TLR could probably easily beat her coppercloud), Kaladin, Raoden - can be crippled by TLR "hyper-rioting" their fear or somesuch. Not Eshonai and Adolin, though - they have Shardplate, which is supposed to repel Investiture. Thus, the abovementioned five lay crippled on the floor, leaving us with Eshonai, Adolin, Susebron, Vasher and, considering his final power level, David. This party's dwindling. Knowing TLR's weakness, Susebron and Vasher could send their ropes and clothes with command to go and snatch Rashek's atiumminds from him. The question here is, would coppercloud influence behaviour of Breaths? Would it disrupt them, nullify them? If so, this attack is not very effective - and I'm going for worst-case scenario, so not only is coppercloud rendering Awakened objects lifeless, it also disperses David's energy beams (trying to translate Epic powers into Cosmere mechanics here). If David's prime invincibility is not used, then this makes him painfully vulnerable to TLR's power, and his steel transference will likely slide off Rashek's super-Invested soul. Here's hoping his reflexes are good enough to duck all this metal laying around that TLR is sure to use now that most of its owners are dead. However, what both David with his laser beams and Susebron and Vasher with their fabrics achieve is distracting TLR. Why is this important - well, both Eshonai and Adolin, being within Shardplate, will be invisible to any form of detection other than ordinary five senses of Rashek's - and those will be occupied by light-and-fabric show the heavy-hitters are putting on - even if he taps mental speed, he's still blinded. This gives the two Shardbearers the opportunity to come close - likely from behind. One of them can try to cut Rashek with a Shardblade, only to find out that nope, he's too over-Invested and the blade just slides off him. In this case, before he has the chance to tap speed, Eshonai could blast him with lightning, and while it wouldn't kill him, it would send him off-balance just enough for Adolin to jump at him and knock him to the ground. Which means this whole battle has just been brought down to two dudes tumbling on the floor, and while Adolin has some experience with that kind of combat, Rashek can tap strength and speed and use metal all around him to try and shatter Adolin's Shardplate. However, being so close to being killed, he is likely to lose his focus on all around him and drop his coppercloud (his copper should be running out at this point anyway). This lets David blast the two of them, and while his beams, if we treat them as Invesetiture-based power, would slide off Adolin's Shardplate (thought probably wound Adolin greatly, considering how much Rashek must've damaged it at this point), they'd have much bigger impact on un-armoured Rashek. While they wouldn't perma-kill him, considering his stores of Health, they'd but everyone enough time for someone to grab his atiumminds and tear them off him, then letting time take its course. So... hard-earned victory for the visiting team, I guess.

For me, the background of "Voidbinding" chart looks a lot like Shadesmar map, especially the colours of it. Kinda why I'm personally in favour of it referring to Soulcasting - it involves glancing into CogRealm, so it would be fitting for the background to look identical. Also, tell me, because I think my eyes may be deceiving me - looking between the two charts, I start to get the feeling that at least some of the big symbols on VB one are parts of Radiant symbols stylized differently - for example, the purple one corresponding to Willshapers looks to me a bit like Willshaper glyph without the central "cross"/"bird's paw" thingy, and the red one corresponding to Lightweavers looks like Lighteaver glyph without those two symmetrical lines forming the heart-like shape. Is there anything to this idea? Could the VB glyphs be modified/differently-stylized Radiant glyphs?

Love that Shattered Plains gif. Not quite sure what makes it so great, but I could stare at it for a long, long time. Shallan in the coat is just adorable, and Adolin is great as ever (your drawings have pretty much become my headcanon for him, too). Also, may I just note that I love the discussion you and maxal are having here? I've got nothing to add to them, but they're a delight to read.

Kaladin's return to Hearthstone
Rasarr replied to Assassin in Burgundy's topic in Stormlight Archive
We don't really know how much time passed between WoR and that chapter (or do we?). -
Amaram was smuggling himself and Taln into Urithiru, IIRC. But they could try to shove this onto any of Roshar's many secret society; Almighty knows there's enough of them running around that any one of them could be implicated into Sadeas' murder.

The image in the OP is speculated to be either Voidbinding chart, Fabrial Science chart, Soulcasting chart or something else completely. Note that the smaller symbols on it are Surge symbols from Surgebinding chart with half of them flipped upside-down, and that the colours of bigger symbols match the colours of Radiant orders. Other than that, we seem to have no idea so far. Search the forum for "Voidbinding chart", you'll find quite some topics dedicated to figuring it out.
