  1. My guess is either, like the others said, that they just live longer. However, what I think is more likely is that the years have been converted over into normal, Earth years. Cosmere books are written like they are translated from the original language into English. It is possible that the ages have been converted over as well, meaning that the ages given are their ages in Earth years, rather than Rosharan years.
  2. Ashes by Madi Diaz would be a good song for the Mistborn era 1 triology (for obvious reasons)
  3. Forger. I could not stand all of the maths surronding circles. Have Kaladin or Shallan killed in the plot of next book?
  4. "Our belief is often strongest when it should be weakest. That is the nature of hope." -Sazed “He smiled despite the grief he felt at the deaths of his men; he smiled because that was what he did. That was how he proved to the Lord Ruler-and to himself-that he wasn't beaten.” Those are some of my favourites, as well as the classic "I am hope" and "there's always another secret. But, there's so many good ones, it's hard to choose a favourite...
  5. Full lashings, definatly more stylish. Live on Scaladrial as a skaa merchant, or on Roshar as a darkeyes of sixth nahn?
  6. Did you hear about that mistborn Straff's got? Yeah, he's in-Zane (Shakes head in horror at the bad pun)
  7. Heal Taravangian, hurt Mraize 3. The Lord Ruler- 14 5. Ruin- 17 9. Bleeder- 18 15 Taravangian- 20 19. Mraize- 31
  8. Eh, I feel that elves and orcs don't quite fit with the rest of the cosmere, where you have got all of these new species, and then there's just one of the 'classic fantasy races', I just don't think it really fits. I imagine it will be a species closely tied in with specific magic systems or conditions, as if you look at other sentient races, both kandra and koloss (if they count as different races, as they were originally human) they are both very much imbedded with the magic system.
  9. I think what you can glean the most from non-cosmere is the writing patterns that exist in them. Sure, the magic may not be similar, but the patterns that plot and character arcs take can give you information about what Sanderson tends to prefer to do with his writing.
  10. When you start lending out all your Sanderson books to all the people and get really into getting people into the cosmere (I may have created personalised reading order lists for my friends....)
  11. It is also possible that it is Godspren that bondsmiths bond with, as, if my memory serves me correctly, it said that at most, there were three. This could mean that normally there could be one or two, rather than three. Personally I find it unlikely that there are three bondsmiths, matching three shards. Also, it would be appropriate, given their jobs as leaders, or at least I find. But then again, who really knows?
  12. Hey, are you guys still looking for members? Because I'd be interested in joining. I read and write in English, and don't know any other languages well enough to read a book. Also, how will Skype and stuff work on different time zones?
  13. Granted. You can now die, at the end of the world, a few seconds before everything ends. I wish that I have a notebook that never runs out of pages.
  14. Ok guys. You had one job while I was gone, and you failed. You killed Jasnah. Hurt Kaladin, Heal Shallan 1. Kaladin 73 HP 5. Shallan 28 HP 20. Marsh 24 HP
  15. Heal Jasnah, hurt our poor old windrunner. 2. Kaladin 47 HP 5. Shallan 30 HP 20. Marsh 14 HP 25. Jasnah 34 HP
  16. Hurt Kaladin, Heal Jasnah. Stick! Uses your alright prowess to strike Kaladin down. @CaptainRyan, in response to your previous question while I love Kaladin, it is Jasnah I love more, and strategy is a thing that I must do. 2. Kaladin 45 HP 5. Shallan 28 HP 20. Marsh 19 HP 25. Jasnah 33 HP
  17. This is great. I've been trying to learn High Imperial for a little bit now. It's partly easy, because it technically doesn't have to be correct, because it's supposed to sound like gibberish, but at the same time, it sounds like gibberish so it's just confusing. But! I will persevere!
  18. Heal Jasnah, hurt Kal. (I'm sorry Kaladin, I do love you) 2. Kaladin 44 HP 5. Shallan 26 HP 20. Marsh 11 HP 25. Jasnah 44 HP
  19. Hurt Kaladin, Heal Jasnah. She will survive to become a main character (which I'm sure she will do in the books anyway) 2. Kaladin 45 HP 5. Shallan 25 HP 20. Marsh 13 HP 25. Jasnah 42 HP
  20. Granted. Shallan engages in an epic fight sequence, but because she can't fight, she dies an early and painful death. It won't be boring anymore, just rather short lived I wish that I can have a pet baby seal.
  21. Hurt Kaladin,mHeal Jasnah. She may be a minor(ish) character in the story, but she's a major character in my heart 2. Kaladin 44 HP 5. Shallan 26 HP 20. Marsh 15 HP 25. Jasnah 40 HP
  22. Heal Jasnah, hurt Marsh. Hopefully she shall survive the night (well, my night) 1.Kelsier 19 HP 2. Kaladin 30 HP 3. Vin 10 HP 5. Shallan 22 HP 20. Marsh 18 HP 25. Jasnah 26 HP
  23. Yessss! I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thought that Conleth Hill looked like Sazed! I would see him on screen and just go, 'Sazed, you are Sazed now.' Also, I could totally get behind Maisie Williams as Vin, she definatly looks the part to me, and I think she'd definatly be able to portray Vin as a character. I could definatly see Elizabeth McGovern as Amartia (I think that's how you spell it), or maybe even Tindwyl. Also, Thomas Brodie-Sangster as Spook, maybe, or at least in how I see Spook.
  24. I would definatly agree with Dockson and Allriane, although I do feel that many of the members of the crew are very underated, which is a shame because they're so awesome! It's probably because they didn't have as much time in the spotlight, and many of their personalities seemed to run together a bit, but I still love them.
  25. Heal Jasnah, hurt Marsh 1.Kelsier 20 HP 2. Kaladin 31 HP 3. Vin 10 HP 5. Shallan 21 HP 20. Marsh 18 HP 25. Jasnah 25 HP
