Yet again, you prove my point. If that threat is at all credible, do you really call yourself powerless? You're vulnerable, sure. But power does not necessarily equate to invincibility. The fact that you can cause people to do things is power (in my opinion, atleast). It is a common corollary that invincibility arises out of power, but it is not necessary.
-
Of course you would. I disagree on the relative power of... Whatever role I may or may not happen to have. It's perspective, isn't it? The unpredictablility associated with someone else's role. The reason Itiah died. The reason Araris died. The reason you'll die. Probably the reason Walin died. (I can't remember any more off the top of my head) It's very nice to think over, really.
-
If you two were going to work together, you would have worked together already. The fact that you're threatening to retaliate frankly demonstrates exactly how dangerous an orator can be. Coordination can fail. An orator doesn't have to coordinate. There's almost two people left to any given house, I'm relatively sure of that. That means an orator will always be able to threaten rather easily at this point. Killing Elandera effectively renders you the most powerful during any vote. So, do you think I'm leaving the vote tied? No. I'll listen to what you're saying and vote; I vote Dalinar . (I don't mean to be insulting. I know the tone of this post is not exactly cordial and I'll change it if you do wish so, but I just wanted to be dramatic.)
-
I'd rather have waited until the night to reply, given that the vote was tied (but, now it's not (we now know you're Elariel, elephant), but if what you say is true, Dalinar, and Elandera is Elariel (oh dear god: The alliteration), the only thing that would seal your arguement is what house you're in. I'm so far moved by your arguement, but it's still not complete, is it? If I am to stand a chance of winning, I know that there are atleast 2houses with or worse yet, a house with three people respectively (which would then be Elariel, so I'd vote for Elandera). But if you're part of, say, tekiel, and they happen to have five people, it doesn't really matter to me much if you die or Elandera dies. So, yeah. I mean, I'm better off with either of you dying, really. Perhaps I'll vote for one of you at the end if I think it benefits me. In the mean time, I'd recommend you complete your arguement. Dalinar Edit: I may have miscounted the house numbers thing, but you get the point.

With 7 people remaining on the roster, I think I concur with Elandera with regards to voting for Dalinar Dalinar, what have you to say?
-
Why would someone want you dead for knowing that their Romantic partner is dead? (I.e. you're simply going to inform everyone of the name of said player) Or do you mean you have info about them that makes you think their house will want you dead? Your message seems to imply the former, which is why I'm confused. I'm not asking you to divulge the info yet though.
-
Why do you need to die? Also, Mraize If someone needs to die, who am I to stop them? Honestly though, I just don't want vote manipulation.
-
That explains it better, I would think, except that it's rather odd that a house that voted in concert one cycle somehow suddenly goes inactive the next cycle. Unless of course, it was mostly Venture that voted for Itiah (which I doubt).
-
I agree with Elandera. I noticed it too. Mraize first backed up Araris' vote on Itiah. Now, that in itself is not remarkable except that mraize was also spreading news of itiah's threatening in the night ball the day before he was lynched. Secondly, it was rather odd, last cycle when Mraize and Araris were the only ones to vote for Dalinar. I can understand if Mraize was simply unconvinced and did not see reason to vote for Araris. But the fact that he voted for exactly who Araris voted for makes me believe he and Araris were either in the same house or were romantics. However, I do not believe they were in the same house because none of the rest of Araris' house voted to save him. Which leads me to believe there was some sort of understanding within the house that Araris was beyond saving at that point (or something similar). So, Mraize happened to be the only one who voted to save Araris (to protect his romantic contact (because who wants their love to die? ;P )). In any case, it seems as if the romantic house (Mraize's house) wasn't too fond of Araris anyways, going from what Bort said. I know there are a few holes in this, but it's the best theory I've got. However, I don't think I'll be voting right now. In a few hours perhaps.
-
>.> Just because you're first. >.> Perhaps I should vote for you? And replace last with first? But nonetheless, I have no interest in lynching you. (No, that's not supposed to be a poem)
-
*Shudders* I am last on the list now.
-
Why do you say so?
-
He said Arinian told him in the doc that Itiah threatend him.
-
Agreed. Araris.
-
Well, IIRC, Araris claimed Arinian was in his faction? So, that would be Araris you'd want to vote for. You up for it? Because I'm down for it. Third time's a charm, eh?
-
In that case, let me clarify: I did not vote for Arinian anyways. I wanted to see what each of your reactions was.
-
You say that the only only reason to kill someone is their role and then you say You went around claiming a false house because it was common sense because...? (If people are going to kill you for your role, why would they care whether you're Elariel or Hasting or Urbain) You went around claiming some house. If it was a bad idea to claim your own house, how was it a good idea to claim any house if no one knows what houses are there? You seemed to be the more duplicitous with your Urbain claim than Itiah here who's acting in relative straight lines. Now, that's just my opinion. When I said I had my suspicions, I meant I had my theories as to what was going on here. The fact that you specifically mention your role is defunct is also suspicious to me as it comes off as you trying to downplay your importance in the same post where you mention Itiah's tineye ability. You seem to be desperate to survive even when you're not in the lead. Sounds like you've got something valuable there. (I know we're all desperate to survive, but I wouldn't trigger a trap just to diffuse it, so to say)
-
You forget that both I and Mraize both also said we voted for Arinian. If it were indeed Itiah organising the lynch, would you not suspect me and Mraize too? I mean, I practically suggested we all vote for Arinian in the Ball PM. It's sort of fishy that you want to ignore this, or even fail to mention it. In any case, I had my suspicions about Araris and Itiah, and while threatening is slightly new for me, atleast, to me, it's better than the alternative that Araris proposes. I'd rather be given a choice to let my role and alignment loose Vs death than have death forced on me. You do realise, Araris, that Itiah gave Arin a choice whereas you necessarily made your targets choose death. As it is, I may not be in capacity to make any more posts this cycle ( not that there's much of it left.)
-
@RippleGylf Itiah's not trying to kill you. I'm not too sure why you're voting for him.
-
I'll be withholding my vote for now. It seems rather odd that Araris would do that; it's odd that anyone would do that. However, the evidence does seem to point to it. I'll let things unfold a little more. But, I'll definitely be voting by the end of the day. Perhaps, I think I'd like to hear what Araris has to say.
-
Perhaps you'd like to accompany Lord Mark tonight to the ball. I assure you, he'd be a delight.
-
I didn't change my vote. I'm guessing I was hit by vote manipulation.
-
You're welcome to vote for fifth if you don't want the vote tied. As such, I haven't found Fifth's arguement convincing primarily because 1) What discussion do they hope to generate in a purely faction based game 2)I would expect Shqueeves' house members must have been involved in voting to make sure he survived. There's not much to crosscheck in that. 3) I don't see a reason he couldn't have said what he did this cycle last cycle. 4)"All the counter wagons rose in response to my breaking the tie on you..." There was one 'counter wagon' started by me. And I know I didn't start it because of your vote because... well... I started it. 5) Elandera has a point. What reason do you expect people to vote for apart from contrived reasons or just plain old bloodthirstiness. I could not get on earlier, hence I know fifth won't be able to reply to my post. However, I will not be removing my vote.
-
Fifth Scholar. I'd really like to know why you wanted Pyro alive enough to publicly say it that way.
-
Oh. I think I missed it then. Nevermind.
