  1. The old pre-Disney ones? Never played. Partially because I was the wrong age. But I love the newer ones, so I’m quite happy.
  2. My ideas: Dalinar - Dave Bautista Kaladin - Luke Pasqualino (a little old, but Kal is supposed to feel older than he is). Shallan - Hailee Steinfeld Navani - Lucy Liu Szeth - Aaron Paul Amaram - Ian Anthony Dale Jasnah - Morena Baccarin Mraize - Pedro Pascal Nale - Idris Elba Taln - Winston Duke Axies - Paul Bettany Rysn - Rosabel Laurenti Sellers Hoid - Tom Hiddleston Odium - Mark Hamill Also, I like the above suggestion of Kristofer Hivju as Rock. I love Kristofer, so that could be great.
  3. Eshonai did accomplish something. She caused the Everstorm, and led the Parshendi into Odiums hands. Which is why she is so tragic. She basically was a hero her own life, but died a villain just to save her people.
  4. I think Horneater Peaks as well. I think that is where we will see Vivenna again. I foresee a team-up with her and Rock. Also, Horneater Peaks will probably be a major part of Rocks arc, which started at the end of OB when he killed my bro Amaram, so, yeah.
  5. In OB we got to see Thaylen City, Kholinar, Rathalas and Urithiru, so, what locations do you think we will visit in book 4? My bet is Sesemalex Dar. It seems like Ishar should come into play in the next book, and so I bet we will see scenes from there.
  6. I am interested to see where Moash goes. I think there are very obvious routes to take him down (Odiums Champion, for example) but they are so obvious that I doubt they will happen.
  7. I’m excited. I like TLJ, and want to see the endings for Kylo Ren, Poe, Rey, Chewie, Hux and the others. You do yourself a disservice :-)
  8. There are a ton of wierd things regarding Dalinar in that scene which we dont understand yet. It will probably become more clear in the next book.
  9. Taravangian. He is too old to survive until the end.
  10. It is kinda divisive among the fanbase. Some people disliked it, because of how certain plot points, characters and the love triangle was handled. Other people didn’t see those things as issues and love the book. Shallan was also incredibly divisive so, yeah, not everyone loves the book. There are some threads in the SA section that discusses this more in-depth than we can do here, because of the spoiler policy.
  11. The things we do for the Cosmere.
  12. You should get the 2018 Nobel Prize for speedreading.
  13. First off, OB is not considered a dip in quality by everyone. I know of people who loved the book. For me personally, I mostly have issues with what the book chose to focus on, and I feel like that was the case for a lot of people (well, that and the love triangle, which was always bound to be problematic). OB has some of the best scenes and arcs in Brandons writing career, so its not bad by any means. As for TLM, he has said that he is excited about it, and his preference to write for free most likely came because he got a shot at doing something in a universe he has been a super-fan of forever. It wasn’t just a random side project. Saying that TLM is a burden to him because of that is reading too much into the situation.
  14. Hah, looks like I’m kinda lonely in my Lift critcism (I dont hate her, she has good moments as well). I guess I just find that she doesnt really fit in with the tone of all the scenes she is in. I do think I will like her more in the back five when she has matured a bit. Also, her jokes doesnt really work that well for me, but that is purely a personal opinion.
  15. I see why people are upset, but I do think that we need to be fair to Brandon. This was an opportunity to make a story for something he loves. I find it likely that the Magic thing was ”either you do it now or we have to ask someone else”, and thus, I think it is fair that he did it. After all, we have gotten a huge amount of books from him in a relatively short period of time compared to other authors, including the time when he accidentally wrote BoM. So if this project came up, and really excited him, well, I dont think we can be harsh on that.
  16. Am I the only one who is more interested in SA4 than in TLM? I really love Stormlight. Also it was kinda obvious, and has been kinda obvious for a long time, that we wouldn’t be getting TLM that soon. Brandon has repeatedly said that he is working on other things this year (turned out to be Magic and the Pizza thingy) and that he will begin with SA4 in January. I feel like we knew this for a while now. Also, I hope he manages to clear up Alcatraz next year, to clean the plate a bit more. It would be fun if he and Dan could surprise-release AG as well, though that might not happen.
  17. @Rasarr It is confirmed that Eshonai will be the flashback.
  18. I absolutely admit that I have trouble understanding and relating to her character, even though I enjoyed her in WoR and Edgedancer. However I do think that it is reasonable to be annoyed with her when she is being childish and pulling crude jokes. It also fails tonally, I think. Dalinars conversation with Odium was rather heavy and suddenly we got Lift out of nowhere with a butt joke. It doesn’t really fit in all times.
  19. Yay for SA4! I rather see that begin he it now than pushing it back for W&W. I can wait. After all, this year has so many epic releases from other people that it should fly by as fast as Steeldancer when he compounds steel. I am kind of intrigued by the necromancer part of Death Without Pizza. I’ll wait for more on this project before I can tell how hyped I am though. I am incredibly hyped for the total amaze-wierdness that Apocalypse Guard seems to be becoming. Incredibly hyped for Dark One. I have been interested in it since I first heard of it. Hoping for that showrunner announcement soon. Also, I am happy that he mentioned that there is a possibility for non-graphic novel Taldain stories. That format isnt my cup of tea.
  20. Eshonai. I defenitely thought she would live. Oh, and Jezrien and Graves were unexpected as well. Jezrien felt like he would be major, and I thought Graves would introduce Moash to the Diagram and Mr T, and teach him how to use a Blade.
  21. I love the patch that allowed him to accidentally write books.
  22. It has been attempted. Unfortunately, no cloning machine can replicate that much awesomeness.
  23. I think he/she means that the Singers on Odiums side aren’t really bad people, and are very justified in fighting humanity. That means that Odiums side isn’t completely bad, even though Odium himself is. Meanwhile, Team Dalinar have Jasnah, who is willing to pull off a genocide to save humanity from its former slaves, Hoid who is willing to let Roshar burn to get what he wants, a whole bunch of racists and slavers, and Szeth. You have a whole bunch of moral issues to unpack there as well.
