I have to admit I wonder what you were smoking to come to this conclusion. Is it possible you were in a weird frame of mind or distracted while reading this book? I found it to be my favorite and loved where the story went. Even if it didn't fulfill all things I wanted I recognize the genius of it.
2020 at the earliest for Stormlight 4. Well, at least it's not like waiting for the Doors of Stone.
I got into Stormlight when WoR was already out, I was so satisfied by the ending that I was fine with waiting for book 3. This wait is going to be harder!
"Unite them" is to unite the splinters of honor's shard. Dalinar is "ascending," becoming the shard holder of honor, much like
Edit: Dalinar may even unite all the shards, Honor, Odium, and Cultivation. Will Dalinar one day restore Adalnasium?
Ha! you're point about Moash was the same thing I instantly thought. A friend of mine had him sign a copy of NOTW at GenCon and he wrote under the title "is Bob. Ha! Beat you to it!" He has a great sense of humor about that.
Kaladin also mentions his slave brands during the fight with Amaram. I think the 4th ideal might have something to do with that as well. Overcoming his perception of himself. Similar to Tefts firemoss
Here is some food for thought:
I am half convinced Leras's knife is a shardblade. Not a Rosharan shard, mind you, but a precursor, what they were based on. It coalesces out of thin air and refers to it as "old friend" and that he hadn't used it in a "long time." Could it be, shardblades were used to split Adolnasium in the first place? And he had not used it since then?
What do you guys think?
