Same here. I'm going to buy Oathbringer around 3pm the day it's released and will be posting my reactions to the ending in the early morning-but I am going to skim through part 1 and mostly look at the art.

Hmm, I like the theory that the bird is an Aviar that can sense Investiture. Mraize is, after all, a worldhopper and a collector of useful things from other planets. It would be extremely unexpected and very effective, but I'm not quite sure how Mraize would use that to his advantage. Although just knowing if someone is using Investiture would be quite useful, especially if it means he can spot worldhoppers(and maybe even hordelings? I'm seriously reaching here, but does he have the ability to know if a cremling is actually part of an Aimian? Otherwise, how did he know to kill that cremling in WOR?)

And it will definitely happen at the worst possible moment. Ugh, reading this is gonna be so stressful...

The epigraphs are still not helpful, and the Kaladin chapters are still too short. Damnation. Hmm, it appears that Ialai is, in fact, grieving. That changes things. And Mraize knows about Helaran-is he trying to drive a wedge between our protagonists? And, of course, the Ghostbloods want to use the Desolation for their purposes, because of course they do.

Evi's hair was mentioned, and she is unfamiliar with Alethi customs. Evi is Vivenna confirmed?

Yeah, they were really cute together in WOR. They're both very unpleasant people, but they appear to have been very happy together.

Why not both? She outwitted Shallan and Adolin, but got played by Mraize.

Loved it, but the thunderclap at the beginning of the recordings make my ears hurt...

I'm concerned that Shallan is becoming so depended on Stormlight, she won't be able to deal with her problems when it runs out and she can't Surgebind all her woes away. Maybe this is where her story is going?
