    No problem. I will let you know I did not take the decision lightly. I also recommend you find some form of protection for the night because the eliminators are incentivized to keep my identity a secret regardless of what it is. I would not be surprised if you or I am targeted for a kill by the elims tonight to nullify the usefulness of your scan. Now that I write that down, it's clear that they will kill you to make it look like I am trying to hide my alignment. I think a safer course of action would be to pass the lens to someone who you trust that isn't me or Cadcom and have them check my alignment tomorrow. At least that way, I am taking the risk and not you, and I don't think the elims (or maybe the village) will tolerate my shenanigans much longer. I would not have posted if I thought you were a librarian. There's no reason to assume you will tell the truth about the scan if I didn't trust you implicitly. What's a good lie? .........     That makes sense. I suppose my goal was to get other people to claim. That is as much an eliminator goal as a villager one. An eliminator gains relevant targets to cripple the village. I gained information on who could and couldn't be eliminators. Here's the thing, the only relevant target for the eliminators left is the grandpa if there even is a grandpa. Further, he wouldn't be a target so much as a person to avoid so as to not risk losing their kill... (again ). It's up to them whether they think I was protected by my lens, or I was disguised, or I am the grandpa. We'll see if I'm a high enough priority to hit this cycle anyway just in case. I wouldn't have guessed so now that I'll be out of charges for my Aydee ability. Edit: My point was there isn't a whole lot of relevant targets for the eliminators to be looking for now that the Aydee charges are gone and Bastille is dead, but there still is a lot of information wrapped up in who is definitely not an eliminator because we can use that to find who is a librarian.

    Hmm? Hold on, it gets better when more people start claiming. I saw this in a movie once. One person stands and claims, then everyone else in the group follows. If I recall, they were all executed, though, so maybe not! I agree. @Devotary of Spontaneity, would you mind giving us the people you trust most and least right now. Also, let us know if you are Aydee? This leads to a fun IKYK : ) I knew we'd have a third claim! I'm just disappointed that Elandera claimed that she was Aydee to you before she claimed to me! now you're catching on! We would've gotten away with it, too, if it weren't for you meddling kids! That would be a mistake. These are actually some pretty solid points. Also @StrikerEZ, I never thanked you for commenting on the Monty Hall problem. You said you didn't understand it well enough in it's normal form to try to apply it here, but right before that, you did an excellent job explaining the issue we had with it. Here is an update to my list: Trusted: CadCom, Zillah, The God King, Kynedath, Feruchemical Skybreaker, Want to Trust: Rathmaskal Probably Elim: Devotary of Sponteneity, StrikerEZ A short explanation: I think I have figured out the actual roles of every person on the trusted list. I want to trust Rathmaskal, because his info has been invaluable in determining the trusted list. I am much more suspicious of Devotary, than Striker, and Striker is still there as a product of deduction. I'd move him, but I'm still sold on the three eliminators theory. Now I'm off to get lynched

    I kind of figured it was something like that. I'm excited to hear what you come up with later. I want to apologise to those who have PM overload. Honestly, I almost never use PM's. I wanted to try out a strategy I've seen Mailliw use several times, and while I was not nearly as good at it as he is, it's definitely a fun playstyle and I'm glad I tried it! Unfortunately, I don't know how to get any more information out of it and it's time to start working with you to find eliminators. Most or all of you know I've claimed every village role to different people. I'm actually the Aydee. I have already used all three charges and Bastille is dead, so effectively I'm a normal free kingdomer. With that admission I recognize I'm probably dying this cycle to the elim kill as I had to drop my lens. As the Order of Actions prevents whoever found it from returning it to me before the elim kill, I recommend giving it to CadCom. although, if he is who I think he is, he may not need it I will do my best to summarize everything I have learned a little later on.

    Wow, this Elim team can't catch a break! Every person who's died has been at our hands. I wish I had tried harder to get a third vote for Striker, but I really thought the odds were in our favor. I'm really afraid that I'm tunneling on Striker and that he isn't bad, but I have the least information on him and I can only clear so many people before deduction brings me back to him. @Devotary of Spontaneity, is there a reason you didn't vote last cycle? If this is a V/V lynch, that makes you look pretty suspicious. To a lesser degree I would also like to hear reasons from @Zillah and @Kynedath. Kynedath said he wasn't as available at the end of the cycle, but Zillah definitely was. @CadCom, what did you learn from the DeTess lynch? I don't think I got anything.

    That's fair. Kynedath's was pretty random. I wanted to generate discussion and it worked. I didn't think Kynedath would come so close to being lynched. Striker has felt pretty detached. I know he missed most of the first cycle, but I think he got caught up on the second and his posts have been noncommittal, a little sheepy, and if any eliminator was sitting back watching us take each other out I'd guess it was him. You know what, Feruchemical Skybreaker. Striker what suspicions do you have? What do you think of the Monty Hall Problem? @StrikerEZ

I didn't use your name, @CadCom because you were neither the first nor the last to express suspicion of the God King. I'm sorry I misunderstood the play to see if he would target you for a kill. @The_God_King, I think it's hardly fair to say giving reasons for suspecting you is "throwing it in your face." I believe I did tell you people suspected you and suggesting that we not lynch kidpen was among the reasons. I know if I had made the same suggestion you did, I'd have been lynched. I don't think I mentioned your tone in our PM's, but every post feels so defensive. It's probably because you're not used to having your messages analyzed, but it does give an eliminator vibe. I still don't think you are one, but I understand why others do. This is all true You are right that it was entirely luck. I had no idea that Kidpen was evil, and while if I was an eliminator trying to throw him under the bus to gain trust, now that we know Venture was not an elim, the easy choice was for me to kill Venture. This is especially true because the credibility I gained me lasted about half of a cycle, and I'd rather have my teammate, over half a cycle of trust and a proven villager. It's working just fine for me He did not claim to me, but I probably should have trusted him more anyway. We did exchange information on what lenses we held. That's kind of what I expected. That and it was an opportunity to retaliate. Overall I find it NAI. I wanted it to feel a little off to generate more discussion, which ended with everyone voting and giving us two lists We have those who voted for Venture and those who voted against. Back to true Feruchemical Skybreaker, why did you vote for Venture? @Feruchemical Skybreaker I promise more to come, but much later. We'll have to see.

    Hmm, well that had the result I had hoped for! ! Kynedath So many comments in so few hours! Granted plenty of them were about lynching me, but now we have some information to work with. Nothing like a little fabricated controversy to stir the pot! Sorry Kynedath, I was pretty nonchalant about voting for you because I never planned to leave my vote there. That said, it looks like the only way to sure up my defense is to vote for Venture. I'm more suspicious of StrikerEZ, but sadly I don't think I'm above voting for Venture to keep myself alive. After all, I'm certain of my alignment, but I can't be of his. it takes two and a half cups of sugar to get to the moon Thank you all for voting! now I can crawl back into my hole and try to figure out what it all means.

    That's fair. I'd ask for more reasoning, but I realize we are all grasping at straws. I have a bad gut read on both DeTess and Striker, but I have no evidence for either of them. It's not even anything they've posted. My PM's make me think they are not, and that worries me. You can go ahead and lynch me, but I don't think you'll get any additional information out of it. I will vote... maybe for Striker. But I'm going to wait a little longer. Paul is dead. Ninja'd by CadCom. I could maybe see a Kynedath lynch. I'll be back to follow this up though.

    To be fair, that's exactly what I'm trying to do. I can't say it's working overly well. Several of the people I'm taking with have expressed distrust. I'm also trying to get a better gut read on everyone, and it helps that I have about twice the posts available to the thread. I have long PMs with some who have posted in thread less than five times, so it's been more productive than gaining trust has. the Kennedy assassination

    I had some more thoughts In a game this short, there is very little reason for eliminator!Cadcom to even suggest kidpen for the day 1 lynch when no one would have gone for that if he hadn't. Even if this was distancing with taravangian-like foresight, I'd love to find out how he pulled the wounded gazelle Gambit with only a village protect role! In short I'm moving Cadcom to trusted and if my trust is misplaced and evil!Cadcom wins because of it, he deserves it. As for the failed kill, to the PM's Oh, good!     This has been me for hours. I don't want to kill Striker D1, I also don't want to kill Zillah because they are new... Those seem to be my best options right now.     It's mostly just gut reads from PM's. As you guessed I made one with everyone, and it's been super effective for me. I have a couple of claims that may be provable and based on those I will be able to move some people higher in my trust pyramid. For Feruchemical Skybreaker and The God King, I feel like the questions I am getting about the game are genuine and would be a lot easier to resolve in a google doc than through messages. That said, it's possible either one could be conspiring in a doc and are masterfully putting me on, but it doesn't feel like that. For those I want to trust: Kynedath feels like Kynedath. You are acting the same way you usually do and I want to believe you are doing it to help the village. I have a decent guess at DeTess' role, but she hasn't claimed to me yet. I have really enjoyed my PM with Rathmaskal and originally had him at trusted, but I realized I don't actually have any evidence so he's down at wanting to trust.

    Wait... who are the non-smedry villagers? I may have totally missed something here While it's true the lenses can only be used by Bastille, we can have a guaranteed protect on cycle one and cycle three by passing the lens we have created on cycle two. The only miss is if the librarians receive the warrior lens. They aren't likely to pass a protect back to the village, and anyone can claim they didn't receive it because the other eleven of us didn't. If we kill them, though, the lens goes back into circulation and we get a much needed protect on cycle 6. Edit: Well... scratch all of this

    Cool, that's better than I thought! So there's two ways you can use this Bastille. 1 You can attempt to predict the elim target. If you succeed we keep your super special lenses for another cycle. The downside is you could be attacked and protection will not divert to you as a Knight of Crystalia. 2 you could protect yourself which gives us a completely free cycle... in which case, do we want a lynch? I see no downside to this course of action (the protect Bastille, not the no lynch). Also I have changed my mind on which lenses to double. I recommend doubling the warrior's lenses immediately. If we don't do it now, we might not have the chance.
