  1. A Hemalurgic spike cookie. You take the cookie, you are granted an ability and have a spike rammed through your chest.
  2. Hemalurgy Recovery Kit. Take it. Depending on the actual Realmatics involved with Hemalurgic spikes, you might be able to keep your ability. (You make your own medallion, as seen in BoM!)
  3. Also, I believe Adonalsium was Shattered on Yolen.
  4. My friend, this is the stuff of this entire forum. We have no idea what they do at this point. We're not even sure what the Twinborn effects are. However, many of your questions are the stuff of Words of Brandon, or WoB.
  5. ...you have no idea, do you? I guess there aren't many chances to get a spike for opening doors with feet or accidentally memorizing. No, you can't make me into a cookie.
  6. This all seems very like the (Dr. Who fan here) alternate universe Rose went into to live.
  7. Preservation is an infinity, a note held for eternity. Ruin is intelligent decay. Honor is the protection of the weak, perhaps. Cultivation is the progression of things, maybe. Speculative Intents aside, what about Odium? We can sort of tell from the magic systems and occasionally WoB's what the intents actually are. Odium...hatred. Why does he destroy Shards?
  8. Disregardsium
  9. According to Sanderson and some in-world people (Khriss), no Investiture is actually evil.
  10. I'm afraid that the knowledge they have is fractured. The Aimians could have some connection, but they are not spren. Although, they do have abilities similar to kandra. Perhaps it indicates a flexible Cognitive identity, similar to kandra or Listeners?
  11. It's a matter of the type of Investiture. If a Soulcaster (either kind) could turn something into Lerasium, then it would be a matter of turning the Investiture of one Shard into the Investiture of another Shard. That would be, in my mind, nearly impossible. And then you have to convince the Stick to change on top of it all.
  12. This one's too easy. You worldhop to Threnody. At night. With a lit candle. I wish for my theory of Shards matching up with Allomantic metals to be real.
  13. May I intrude on this by mixing theories? I'm trying to link each Shard with an Allomantic metal, and Devotion and Dominion are currently marked as being the emotional manipulation metals. Both brass and zinc are capable of yielding the same results from people, but when combined, there are far more precise ways to get results. Brass is currently Dominion, and zinc Devotion. The reason they came together is because their Intents are similar in many ways, but different in some as well. They are not opposites as juxtaposed as Preservation and Ruin, but opposites just the same.
  14. The kandra are shapeshifting in nearly every sense of the word. Also, to make spoiler tags, remove the spaces in the following brackets:
  15. The sea of shadows would probably be better. Things there are only a shadow of what they are physically. Also, what do you call the Cognitive Aspect of a being which has been treated somehow to allow it to continue to exist without a physical tie? A Cognitive Shadow.
  16. Vin is the epitome of Preservation. Kelsier is much more chaotic. Kelsier will save the world or even the universe, if only because he wants it to happen. If he wants something to happen, there is literally nothing he won't do, from killing noblemen to effectively committing suicide by immortal tyrant. On second thought, would Kaladin be better for Lawful Good, what with the Ideals and protection?
  17. I'm actually in the process of making an alignment chart based on Cosmere characters right now. Lawful Evil: TLR Lawful Neutral: Szeth Lawful Good: Vin Neutral Good: Harmony True Neutral: Stick Neutral Evil: Ruin? If so, I could only find the atium symbol. Chaotic Good: Kelsier/Kaladin (can't decide) Chaotic Neutral: Nightblood Chaotic Evil: Zane/Odium Also, does anyone know where I can find a good D&D Alignment Chart maker?
  18. I'm not 100% confident in my 'passive abilities' theory, but notice that while all magic systems have increased healing and occasionally enhanced senses as passive abilities, Stormlight heals from terrible wounds almost instantly, and increases physical abilities as well as endurance and energy far beyond any seen in the Cosmere elsewhere as far as we know. Also, I have determined how the internal/external thing works. With AonDor, Forgery, and Awakening, the magic system is not automatic, but what the Investiture does is dependent on external factors, like the shape of lines or verbal commands. On the other hand, Allomancy and Surgebinding are far more automatic. Not to mention, in Allomancy and Surgebinding, they actually take in the Investiture to use it, as opposed to the other magics mentioned. Awakening requires external use of Investiture to be practical in most cases.
  19. I have a theory that, before it was Nightblood, the sword now called Nightblood killed Adonalsium. Nightblood is the only thing in the Cosmere that is truly end-negative (it removes Investiture from the Cosmere) so before that, it may have been really powerful.
  20. I'm going with the passive effects when possible. But because of the nature of some of them, it is almost impossible. Sel, for instance, is very convoluted. Simply going on the fact that the magic of Sel seems to be Cognitive more than anything, (Forgery, various Aons, etc.) the emotional metals are probably Devotion and Dominion.
  21. Assuming that the Scadrian Allomantic/Feruchemical metals correspond with the sixteen Shards, which one goes with which? If you don't believe that the metals correspond like that, I have already discussed the topic, and have decided to press forward despite the controversy. Anyway, to the metals. It would make sense, if they did match, to have the background effects of the magic system match their corresponding metal. There are other possibilities, and I would be very happy to see these alternate possibilities thought out. But anyway, I ramble. As we see in SA, Stormlight has an effect similar to a Pewterarm: enhanced physical abilities, and rapid healing. Obviously, Stormlight is better than pewter, but it fits. In Warbreaker, there is a 'life sense' that allows the people to know where people are. I submit that they are sensing the Breath, as Drabs don't register.
  22. Or they are observed eating "aged" (rotten) meat, or look hungrily at an old rotten corpse. There's also the fact that their 'a's are pronounced a bit wrong. Not sure if that would be noticed.
  23. Does TLR have a daughter named Lutha?
  24. Rubix is a Josh? I didn't know that!
