  1. No no no, not at all. I was just commenting on if you were waiting for another cosmere book and were reading a non-cosmere book. Ya well . . . I'm a slow reader ok? I enjoy it, and I am good at it, but I take my time.
  2. Well . . . I mean it's not the best time waster in the world, unless your a fairly casual reader. I blew through Firefight in less than two days.
  3. Don't worry guys. I didn't know about the cosmere until a year and a half after I joined this forum. I only came because I wanted to see how to write the glyphpairs from the stormlight archive.
  4. @PK, I would really like to know your reasoning on Elkanah as well. I have not seen any reason to suspect him recently. Also, I don't thinl that we should be focusing on factions right now. True, the alternative win condition might be out of the question, but we still can't leave the diagrammists with free reign while we try to kill off the other faction. I personally find Polking more suspicious, but I have reason to believe that he is a surgeon, somebody that we desperately need. I do actually have some suspicions of Tony, though they are smaller than the ones I have for polking. I don;t know who I should vote for, or even if I should vote, but I don't think that killing Adavantos would be a good move, so, reluctantly, Tony Shark. I can see the usefulness of knowing if Elbereth's list of people are evil, but I think that the one that would give us the most information would have to be Kipper. We would know that we could trust his reads and know the roles and alignments of many other players, rather than be super cautious and slow to trust.
  5. Claimed Cooks: Adavantos - Diagrammist Zas - Ghostblood Starry Smite - Sons of Honor - scanned but may have been altered Unknown - assumably Ghostblood Claimed Runners: STINK - Sons of Honor Shallan - Ghostblood Venture - Sons of Honor Unknown - assumably Ghostblood, if there is another one Claimed Scholars: Lopen - Ghostblood Kipper - Sons of Honor Sart - Sons of Honor Paranoid King - Ghostblood Claimed Surgeons: Arraenae - Sons of Honor Clanky - Sons of Honor Unknown - assumably Ghostblood Look above Adavantos - claimed Diagrammist Restares - Creccio Thaidakar - Orlok Alright. I have information on who is the last cook, but I don't know whether to expose it or not. I would appreciate advice.
  6. That makes absolutely no sense. Ada claims that the diagrammists sent him out because two scholars died. The diagrammists would have known if one of their own had died and if they were a scholar or not. Either PK or Ada are lying. Adavantos could just be trying to draw people out of hiding to join the discussion, or else PK is trying to mislead us. Guys we need input. I feel like there are two to three people driving the conversation and the rest put in their two cents every half a cycle. We need to bounce ideas and figure out who is telling the truth. I am inclined to believe that PK is lying due to his erratic behavior as well as previous suspicions.
  7. uhhhh . . . . huh. well . . . ok then. sooo . . . wait what? You are saying that to make the game fair, you are going to sacrifice yourself as an evil player . . . because of the christmas spirit? You are trying to strike a deal to feed us information in exchange for your survival, knowing that at any time, we can kill you. . . . huh. This is a list of the pros and cons that I see with leaving him alive. Cons: An innocent inactive dies every cycle. He could be lying and kill one of the most influencial people in the discussion. He could be lying altogether and not be a cook, or even a diagrammist. we keep a potentially false source of information around to feed us potentially false ideas and leads. The diagrammists claim to have a consience. Pros: We get more information. We retain the right to kill him at any time. We keep a contributing, albeit fairly untrustworthy, player in the discussion. We might get more information about other diagrammists We find out more about Adavantos and if he is lying or not Another thing to think about is independant initiative. If there is a cook who does not want us to take the deal, but we take it anyways, then he could just kill Adavantos by poisoning his food. On the other hand, if he is truly in friendly contact with a surgeon, then he might protect Adavantos. We don't know what other people will do. I, for one, am alright with this arrangement. I feel we need more information than we have and I don't see why killing inactives would harm us. The only problem that I have with this is that I don't know if Adavantos will actually kill inactives or go back on his word and kill contributors. This should provoke discussion , if just so that people make themselves less of a target.
  8. Guys, when I said we needed more information, I didn't mean give up on everything but telling everyone who you are. I do like having more to discuss, but now nobody is doing anything that I can see. Here is the vote list so you can see what I mean. Feligion: Araris Phattemer: Kynedath Deathclutch: Elkanah Nobody has more than one vote, and some of the least active players are the ones that have voted. This close to the rollover, I think that I will post my thoughts next cycle, otherwise I would have more to say.
  9. I am most definitely not saying that we ignore strong signs of diagrammist behavior, all I am saying is that I don't trust people who don't at least try to help. I have (I'm pretty sure) legitimate worries about people who don't say anything. They could be doing anyting and I have seen many observing the conversations but never doing anything. I promise that if I have very strong suspicions about someone, then I will act upon it, no matter their activity level. The thing is though, as I said before, if I were a diagrammist, then I would try to lay low and not be noticed. If my thinking is flawed, then I am open to suggestions, but at this point, we need people to talk and the inactives are essentilly limiting our information by not contributing. @Lopen I have no background with SE so I don't know how players normally act, but if this is normal behavior for Phat then I would probably be inclined to not vote for him. My worry is that he is using his previous reputation to hide his motives.
  10. I agree, we need to know more. In this game especially, we need to have information. I have noticed a very significant drop in the amount of posts and ideas, and I think that it is mostly due to the most active players being killed off. We just lost Mail, who was one of the main contributors to the discussion. If we don't start talking amongst ourselves, then we can't find the eliminators and we can't win. I am imploring the inactives to start speaking up. I think that I have a moderate idea of the workings of the active players, but I have no idea what the inactive ones are doing. I can't know what they are doing and that makes me very suspicious. I know that this is my first game, but if I were an eliminator, then I would try to lay low and not draw any attention to myself. I am, for now, going to attack the inactives. Orlok, you are the one that I find the least contributive at this point and I would like to know why you are not participating in the discussion very much.
  11. Possible but we have no proof of it until STINK says that it's true. Even then, it's a shaky house to live in. But we are trusting that right now, STINK is actually a runner, so trusting another one of his claims isn't that far fetched. I have already stated my (albeit meager) reasons for not voting STINK, but at this point, I don't feel like voting Feligion would get me any good feelings. Voting right before roll-over, for someone who is already under heavy vote fire, and my vote could be the turning vote on him? That would not be the ideal situation to find yourself in. I would vote for him at this point, for reasons that I will state next cycle, but I want to let him defend himself first, not vote for him at the last minute, not letting him even see that I had voted for him.
  12. I think Wilson already explained this. I'm not sure how to quote from other threads so I am going to just copy paste it here. "Role-distribution was done purely based on RNG. I let randomness decide everything. Did I always take the first roll? No. There were some things that I rolled multiple times on, because of whatever reason. Point is, everything from who is on the Diagrammist team to what they have and what ranks they have and who holds them was all random. Yes, I had an idea of what I wanted, but I did not handpick a single thing anywhere in the distribution." -Wilson EDIT: If you want to see the actual post, then go see post #400 the original MR10 thread.
  13. I can see that in the thread you are trying to fix the problem, and I can agree that we have bigger Fish to fry. Elkanah That is true, but I find it unlikely. I have seen almost all of the players at least looking at the thread if not participating in it. The diagrammist cook should know who to kill due to both having open communication in the doc and just wanting to kill players to lower our numbers. I don't remember saying anything like that but I will go check my posts and see what I can find. Unfortunately, I am lost at this point. The game has gone on too many tangents and I don't know which ones to follow. I don't know who I can trust and I don't know how to deal with it. I have a few suspicions but I can't prove my suspicions with any amount of political maneuvering like the experienced players can. At this point, I think I will leave my vote blank until I know what to do. If anybody has any advice for me, I will take it with the openest arms imaginable. EDIT: Elbereth I don't see anywhere that I accused you of not helping enough. Maybe you mistook Elkanah for yourself? The only other player that I accused of that (to the best of my knowledge) was PK.
  14. I agree that PK should give us his info now. There is not going to be any one that we all trust to be a scholar or an intermediary. So we know that we can't trust anyone other than PK 100% and we know that we can't trust PK 100%. This leaves us needing to decide if we should trust him or not. I'm leaning towards not myself. I still think that he can't be trusted for the reasons that I stated before, but I also find it odd that he wasn't attacked. It might have been that everyone knew that he was going to be protected, and he even might have been. but we still only have three active cooks so far, making it likely that one would have went for him. The other possible reason for PK not to have been targeted is that he could be an explorer or elsecaller and be lying about being a scholar. Not too likely as he would know that we expect his info this cycle, but I guess it's still a possibility. Speaking or the cooks, we still only have three cooks going for people. Either the cook is one of the inactives, there are only three cooks, or else They decided to not go for PK or another because they wanted the information as well. This leads me to believe that if there is a diagrammist cook, it is not the inactive one. A diagrammist cook would get no benefit from staying inactive. They don't need more information, they just need to strategically kill us all off so that we don't know who they are. By killing nobody, they are delaying their win. Elkanah, you didn't comment on my last post about you. I expected some sort of retort or response. Is you ignoring me just you not knowing what to say, or are you just up to something nefarious? This is not an accusation but rather a request for motives.

  16. First off, your post in cycle 3 reminded me that you had promised to be more active. During cycle 2, I had all but forgotten you. To be honest, I was also just trying to use a vote to get you to answer, like I've seen done before. At first I wasn't worried about it, but then your answer led me to truly question your actions. I still think that you aren't the most suspicious at this point but it's also too crucial a decision for me to come to a decision too quickly. I never intended to keep my vote on you, but instead I thought it was a good idea to gather information on both you and the others at the same time. This was only supposed to be temporary until I got your answer. I appreciate your activity now but I still want to know why you didn't post cycle 2. I most definitely don't suspect you as much as others, but at the time, I just wanted answers.
