  1. Probably some Devotion's cognitive Shadow
  2. Well in the Cosmere all is made by Investiture. Pre-Shattering creation by Adonalsium's Investiture and Post-Shattering Creation by Shard's Investiture. Therefore is normal that she may simple conferted them to Stormlight. It's quite what a Feruchemist do the whole time.
  3. Well one or two Seer that Flare Atium for an hour or two. Will burn a great amount of Atium. The Atium burns pretty fast also with regular burning (It will be quite ilarius if some of the Seers becames Atium Savant during the battle). To me some Atium was in the Seers, Stomach but it will be a very tiny amount. Probably not so much to unbalance the power of Preservation-Ruin. And in the end Ruin had not time to check because when Elend died, Vin killed Ati in a minute.
  4. I don't think that can exist a Re-Returned. The Returned status is quite fragile, I suppose that a Returned with a fatal wound would die faster than a regular people.
  5. But Sazed is a modest guy and probably don't want his name associated for the future eras. Now He is Harmony and maybe he don't want to be associated with the Terris keeper that make a lot of Mistake in his life.
  6. Probably some Seer (the ones unable to fight) flare it to consume all the Atium before Ruin may take it. It quite the same things that Elend did at the end (but he may uses Durallumin).
  7. Atium and Lerasium aren't Splinter. They are portion of the Shard power but not "indipendent shard power". Are quite the same difference between a (not Scadrial) rock and a Splinter of Adonalsium. They are both made of the same power but one is a "separate being" and the other is just Investiture packed together.
  8. Odium want simply be the most powerful bieng in the Cosmere. To obtain that He kills and Splinter his equals (the other Shards). He may pick the Shard who kill and not Splinter but He doesn't want because at that point the new Intent will change him. And He likes himself as He is now.
  9. I think you have right. Also because we saw that him had some Soulcaster and if the Jasnah's test fail he may simple called his men to remove the rock
  10. The Shaod is a deeply trasformation, probably may heal also the mind. We had other example of powerful mind healing in the Cosmere (and therefore as spoiler I don't write it on this topic). We had from the book at least 2 case of mental healing trhough become Elantrian. One of course is Raoden but he had a little recover prior the restoration of Elantris thanks to the Pool. The other is the Kiin's child (I don't remember the name). That after become a full Elantrian have his mind restored and (if i don't remember wrong) his condition was his and he didn't develop through the Hoed status.
  11. This morning I was thinking about the "not full shard" and it may be that Ruin had simply send something/someone to Homeland. Some Hemalurgyc's contruct, maybe Koloss. or a cuple of lesser Inquisitor. A single agent may build a little army with the Hemalurgy if he is power enough to don't risk to be killed by the popolation.
  12. My point was about the Fact that a Mindless Preservation didn't anything other than Stop any attemp from Ruin to destroy Scadrial. And therefore I suppose that when Leras died Ruin had to stop because the new holder (Kelsier) may act in a more flexible way.
  13. Ruin had not power over the Inquisitors while TLR was alive and controlling them with his powerfull allomancy.
  14. During the prologue of tWotK the RK (or at least the Dustbringer) are mentioned but Honor was still alive. We don't know when Odium killed him but seems to be after the "betrayal" of the RK
  15. Unluckely the thing is not clear. We know that the "Aon inside a Seon is the Splinter" but may be the Seon as a whole a simple "body" of the Splinter ? Had We similar quotes about the Spren ? Something like "the living surge within a spren is the splinter". Because we are building ideas from 2 subjects that we had partial information of each them. There is something we know of both that are note "the same" ?
  16. As always I will begin with a short version of the Theory. Then I put the meaningfull fact and the extended version. The theory has some spoiler from Shadow for Silence in the Forest of Hell and Mistborn Era 1. Short version: The Evil that killed everyone in Threnody's Homeland was the Shard Ruin (held by Ati). Relevant point: - Shadow for Silence novel take place between Mistborn Era 1 novels and Stormlight Archive. - there is a WoB about the Evil to be related to Ruin - Threnody and Scadrial have the same "star pattern" visible (the Starbelt). - Threnody seems to have a Invested's Silver. - Threnody is a minor Shardworld and therefore there isn't any Shard on the planet. Extended Version: The first point to make clear about my Theory is that I suppose that Scadrial and Threnody are in the same Solar System. We may speculate this from the "Starbelt" visible from both the Planet and the Invested Metal. Of course Threnody is a Minor Shardworld and this meaning that any Shard that came on it had no resistence at all(it's relevant for future points). I think that what happened on Threnody is the result of the Ruin's year-of-freedom between the Well of Ascension and his death at the end of Hero of Ages. Ruin's intent was about destroy everything. His quest on Scadrial in the book was to find a portion of his former power to overpowered Preservation and shout down Scadrial. It must be stressfull to him. Be on a planet and be stopped by Preservation everytime. Therefore he focus his attension on Threnody a planet close enough to may extend his influence on him while he was heavy invested in Scadrial. On Threnody he begin his destruction and the people call him the Evil. At that time Leras was quite mindless and mechanicaly stopped all the effort of Ruin on Scadrial. But I suppose that he was not so flessible to try to stop Ruin in Threnody (Ruin was probably stopped when Leras died and Kelsier take his place). But if Ruin was without Preservation, why didn't he simply destroy Threnody in a moment? Because He can't, he was Heavy invested on Scadrial and if he Invested his power on Threnody, Preservation may overpowered him. Therefore he put together a "calamity" that kill everyone that didn't escape from the Homeland. The exile arrived to the Forest, found the Shades that are part of the Threnody's Natural-Investiture (not create by Ruin) and began to build a new life here.Without know that the Evil was gone. After the Harmony's birth, he may send a help to the Threnody people and give to the Threnody's Silver an ability to Preserve aganist the Shades. The last part may be a willing choise of Harmony or a simple mix of Threnody Natural Investiture and the Influence of Ruin&Preservation Investiture through the Metal-focus of Scadrial (also the Simple Rules seems to be relate to Entropyc's Ruin). We know that the people comes to the Forest of Hell something like 3 generation ago because the Silence's Grandmother is among the first to arrive to the Forest. And we know that the novel take place in the 300 years between the HoA and tWotK. Therefore also the time are quite possible. Well this is my theory, good reading
  17. Also the Allomancy is genetic but comes by "somewhere" (a precise Preservation's design). Just because we don't know how the Terris people obtain the Feruchemy. it doesn't mean that there isn't a way to obtain it. Brandon states that "Originally Feruchemy came from Preservation" and many theories risen to try to explain the Feruchemy's origin. (For example you may find the mine in my Signature)
  18. But we had a counter-proof about of that fact. The Radiant Spren existed before the Honor's Death and seems that him didn't designed to be a vector to Surgebinding abilities.
  19. Maybe the difference is about "how the Godmetal Spike works" and not "what can steal". For example we know that an Atium Spike can steal everything with a lot of efficiency. Maybe a Lerasium spike can steal everything but it hasn't any decay. I admit that I didn't read SoS and I tried to avoid Spoiler, therefore I skipped every post at the first "spoiler alert". If I wrote a stupid (or already explused theory) sorry.
  20. Mr. Sanderson often uses words that point in a direction to surprise us. For example: If a Nightblood bond on Roshar give the ability to drawn in Stormlight, but Szeth at the moment had no bond with Nightblood. "Szeth cannot drawn in Stormlight, at the moment" but when he will bond with Nightblood he became capable of doing it. This is just an example of course but remember. Mr. Sanderson may twist his own words.
  21. Maybe just his "Soul Healing" (I had no idea of how call it). PS: We don't know if the Hoid's Feruchemy is a Scadrial version or an ipotetical "Yolish version"
  22. I really doubt that Preservation did something about. Leras was quite mindless end also Preservation's power seems to be very inefficent to influence people. Probably it was simply Ruin that want Vin safe
  23. Right She isn't a Sliver after the Well of Ascension because she didn't use the power. She had neither the expanded knowledge that Rashek had.
  24. There is a problem with this theory. You had right about that the Shard warp the personality of the holder but once you had no more the Shard this warp progressly vanish. We know a Sliver of Preservation and he had no problem with killing or be killed (RIP Rashek). Again there isn't anything more than a Sliver (unless to be a current Shardholder) about "bein affect by a Shard.
  25. Sure but until now the Divine Breath are a "unique case". Every kind of Splinter develop sentience (Seon, Skaze, Spren) without guidance. An "easy explaination" is that the Divine Breath had a controller, the neo-Returned. But with the Honorblade the things are not so simple. Unless (as i think) they are bond forever to the Herald also if other people may use it. Unless in 4500 years they must develop sentience.
