    Some doubt is just born in my mind. Every night with someone taken by the Shaod. Are those people turned at the same time ? (I will try to add this to the list of questiom, also if I want to avoid Selish question for a couple of months). Because it's possible that people may be taken by the Shaod only in a specific moment every day....Imagine a pulse from Elantris who turn people with the right requirement into Elantrian...it's weird but fascinating

    No I meant the actually ability to Awakening. Everyone may gain Breath (if someone give to them or uses some other tricks) and you may give to someone else...But you can't actual use it to performe Awakening if you are not Nalthisian. You may "just" gain the passive benefit of Breath. I may swear we have a WoB about...as soon I find it. I will post it here

    You see the film "limitless" imagine something like that but to an highter degree. Some misure of future sight for the next years is possible with you and your man that try to correct where it needs

    No ok, I checked and I was wrong. 1167: Gavilar (host of the Visions) dies 1172: Kal is made slave and in a less of a year reaches the Plains....where Dalinar was already reciving the Visions 1173: The potter (suggested host of the Visions) dies and the note say that he recive visions from 2 years There is at least a year where Dalinar and the Potter both recived Visions in the Highstorms (or course if the Potter's ones were of the same source of Dalinar's ones)

    Well your information mean that the Honorblade is still at Urithiru..Or they can't do what it is the spoiler. Therefore Kal has not the Honorblade with him

    Well actually I think you may melt the spike to have not cutting-piercing part (or a cover who would vanish in the stomach) and a Spike may be really Small if you want. An Allomancer may burn Metal out of his stomach but it's harder to "detect" it. Therefore you may probably pierce your skin with a Spike and with the right knowledge/skill burn it. But as far as I know there is a greater problem in burning Hemalurgic Spikes....You have to match with the Spike's Identity...this mean the Spike was made from your Spirit-Web or you have skills who allow you to ignore the Identity problem

    I have no problems to jump between genres but of course may be different for another people. At the moment I work to: A post-apocalyptic fantasy setting for Roleplay games, a novel in a nice hybrid between standard fantasy and Mister Sanderson style (good potential to me), a Goth Fantasy inspired by Mister Sanderson (actually quite only world building and characters for now), A weird mix between high tech and medieval fantasy who in the end may be similar to a steampunk, a cool story inspired by oriental myths and conjuration magic and for last I am helping my girlfriend with the world building her comic. There are other ideas, but nothing more than a couple of pages of notes

    More simply with an example: You are working to your "MainStory". When you are struck with MainStory. You simply put it away for a while and start (or continue if you can) another project that we call here..."SideStory". SideStory may be whatever you want (same of different genere than MainStory, complex or linear, ecc...). Its only purpose is to made you out from your actual "thought pattern" pushing your mind to solve something else. Then if you are struck on SideStory or if you have some new inspirations for the MainStory, you may return with a more clear mind to MainStory. The working Sequence would be: Main->Side->Main->Side...... I talked about Rotation (and I am sorry if this confused you) because I work with more than two projects and My working sequence is actually a Rotation between them. Of course it's possible that my method isn't the best one or maybe doesn't really fit you....But it's the only one I may reccomend from direct experience

    you know you are addicted to 17th Shard when your girlfriend tell you to wait a lot because she have to prepare to exit....End this doesn't bother you because you browser the Shard in the meanwhile

    Of course I don't write as a Job and therefore my solution isn't really efficent if you MUST produce something in a setted amount of time and I am more a world builder than a real writer therefore I can't actually say if this method may help you. Anyway when I am struck with my current work. I simply pass to something else for a while. I have a rotation of some ideas ans I uses to expand them with a rotation pattern.

    Well we have yet "effects" of presence of Preservation and Ruin on the planet. There are two kind of Mist, black and white....Allomancer continue to born and the Hemalurgy still work (probably with a single shard we have no multiple magic systems). Harmony himself put quite a good emphasis about his Preservation side and his Ruin side. Ruin and Preservation when Sazed ascended began to intermingle linked in the same Vessel I think that if something didn't prevent it. Soon or later this process would be complete and Harmony will became a truly single Shard (with double amount of Investiture). Just to say, I think this is what happened on Sel...D&D's splinters had at least 4000 years (but probably also 5000) to start the intermingling...Now the Dor is a "new shard" but Splintered.

    @Datan Nomlibash game me an idea. The Rose empire itself is a strong belief in the Sun... It's possible there are some real Realmatic effect with the day-night cycle

    Just to clarify. The power per metal remain the same for every allomancer (from the weakest one to Rashek). A stronger allomancer may simply burn metals faster to drawn more power from them. Stupid example: Elend has twice the Strenght of a Standard Allomancer, when He burns pewter (without Flare) he is using the (almost) same pewter/s of a Flaring Ham.

    Actually a Kandra can't usually perfome Awakening. You have to be Nalthian to have the right sDNA to Awaken...Of course with the right knowledge He may Spike out this ability from every Nalthian, or use an Hack to allow himself to have Awakening. This is actually the whole meaning of a couple of pages of posts....In the Awakening, when the color are drained from an object, the object turn gray (or white with the Perfect Awakening) in an area directly correlate to the color need (more color needed and larger drained area)....Not the whole object became slighty lighter. It's the reason people like me thinked that we saw only the effect of his changing Biochroma from a point of view of someone without any formal knowledge of the Biochroma. Of course this may be wrong, but instead we have to reconsiderate how the Awekening works and set new rules (It's the last thing I want to do)

    Whatever the Different-Material-Spike-for-Offworld-Magic is true o false (I think it's a no sense but it's meaningless), Nalthis's Focus is Commands not Colors. Actually Breath, Mist,Stormlight and (maybe) Dor as far as I know are all the same raw investiture with "different package" or do I miss something ? Of course they may have some features (like the Breath and their stickness) but they are actually "the same thing". It's the reason a Returned may live using Breath, Stormlight and (possibly) Mist.

    I just sent a tweet to Peter asking if The MAG is canon in this specific istance. I hope He would answer it Actually I never doubt notice that our Hemalurgy chart was filled with MAG material...For months I proposed there are some errors (and I thinked it was Khriss fault/misunderstunding) In the Hemalurgic chart....This may be the clue about this (but if I have right to steal Feruchemical Hybrid power you have to use an Electrum or Bendalloy Spike)

    THis isn't actual proved, it's possible that Dominion's Influence made the Sel's magic Locations dependant...But it's a speculation, we have no real proofs (I remember also a WoB who disproved this, but it's really cloudy in my mind...therefore I can't say nothing about)

    Jaddeth or at least his current incarnation as only god for Shu-Dereh, from his dogma and area of influence seems related more with Dominion than Autonomy.

    We don't know...maybe Rashek simply killed him as a manace to his Final Emperire (I meant after the Ascension with mundane way). Or maybe he was sended to the South far far away form the Empire for a thousands of years

    Yes indeed I was only talking about the Physical metal and how works... I never states you may tap something different from whaterver the Soulbearer has stored (as the whole topic is about) It would be a difference Because if you can tap multiple Nicrosilmind at the same time, you may create a "Bands" simply using 32 Single-Power Medallions at the same time.
