  1. I think we have only Harmony's words in BoM and maybe Leras' ones
  2. I just read your theory and I find it quite beautiful, I don't think it's how the process works (I have quite the opposite idea XD). Anyway I would explain some fact in a more clearly way (just to avoid further problems): - When someone dies He/she remains for some time in the Cognitive Realm not the Spiritual one. Then his/her Mind is pulled in the Beyond and the Soul's Investiture is recycled in whaterver source it comes from. For an average Human I don't think it last a single minute in the Cognitive Realm before the Beyond. - A crack in the Soul isn't something necessary related to someone's death. For example on Scadrial they used to beat almost to death Child to develop this Soul's Crak. In theory one of this guy (someone who didn't become an Allomancer) may travel to Sel and find himself a proto-radiant (with the right attitude). This is just to say that the Nature of the Trama who creates a Soul's crack don't really leave a specific mark in the Soul. - With your specific example. You hits some "special case". The Stormfather is actually both a Spren and "someone". When Honor died, Tanavast's Shadow is some way manage to merge with the Stormfather.
  3. Like "I removes your suffering about her (boon) but I actually remove also the rest of her (curse)...ops!"
  4. Fortune seems to be a Spiritual Attribute widely knowed from the Cosmere schoolar
  5. Yeah I survived an apocalipse... I am an Originator ! (you don't say to anyone that I contributed to an apocalipse in another planet)
  6. Yes you created a "new allomantic metal" (I don't really like this term but it's indeed right) and when you burn it you get only a feruchemical charge not it's allomantic effect (if you know how to compound) I find very unlikely, you can't become a Feruchemist savant....You "probably" may become an Allomantic Savant and use the improved power in a Metal to burn faster your Metalmind. Stupid Example: Miles and Rashek was both capable of compound Gold-Healing. But Rashek is a Stronger allomancer (at least twice stronger than Miles) and when He burns his metalmind He may burn them faster than Miles...In the end they both recive the same Feruchemical Charce (if they start with the same charge) but Rashek may did it faster. In a loop of Compounding a strong allomancer would be capable of generate more Attribute because it may repeat the process faster
  7. Here the thing is possible. But we don't know how the trapping works from the Spren-side. It's possible that the Spren may simply exit...but it stay well in the gem. It's a non-sapent Spren and He may simply see his new "home" as a normal thing. A Sentient Spren maybe may simply choose to exit. Another possibility is that a Nahel Bond prevent a Radiant Spren to be trapped and bound to a gemstone. But it's hard to say
  8. I am a bit surprised...I have to recheck, but I think my previous post statement (not the exact wording) comes from another and contraddictory WoB
  9. @Krandacth as far as I know: No, the human needs just to be "broken" (it's a common condition needed in many Cosmere's magics). If it's broken enough and He/she has the right attitude, He may attract the the right Spren. Dumb example: If Kaladin was another kind of man, He would be able to attract another kind of spren once Broken. Probably yes, maybe our wording may be wrong. But the Surgebinder becomes more and more a more compatible parner for the Spren's Ideal and a better anchor to pull the Spren in the Physical. The next two are probably false (but I am unsure about what you want to ask there)
  10. We have a WoB who said it's possible but it would be hard to be in-line with the needed Oaths. (I will edit as soon I will find the exactly WoB) EDIT: I don't find the right one but there is this other (vague I know)
  11. Ok understood and my is more clear....thanks At the begin I didn't catch you talk about the Savant's Crack AND Hemalurgy's Crack....I read is as "Hemalurgy Savant"'s Crak that made me quite confused. Returning to the Stormlight, I am one of the ones who pushed from months the idea of Stormlight as Adonalsium's Investiture lefted on Roshar to made possible Roshar's biosphere.
  12. There are a lot of Kandra with Copper's Blessing (well maybe not a lot by someone surely, after all Copper's Blessings are one of the traditional Kandra's blessing from the Final Empire). I am still unsure about this....If an Atium-X spike have all the Stealing propriety of the atium and cool effects...Ruin would use it. I think an Atium-X alloy would stole as an X Spike but with the improved efficience of Atium (in the same way of Lerasium-Lerasium's Alloy work with Allomancy)...
  13. You have right but you are mixing two different concepts together. - Savant: A Savant is someone who further expanded his Allomancy after a long time of use. It's happened because the Allomancer's soul is soo stressed by the Allomantic power to twist for better accomodate it. It's actually a damage that allow him/her to go further the power he/she would otherwise have. A Savant benefits form this status (to many deegre) with an improved Allomantic Strenght and (for some metals) the Ability to use his Allomancy to performe feat that usually is beyond the Scope that metal. Example of Savant power are: Steel/Iron: The ability to see more than a Steelline in an object, this allow to push/pull it in different way (Kelsier,Wax). Bronze (not sure): The ability to understand what metal someone are burning (Kel, Vin, Marsh and probably a ton of other Seeker) Copper: An expanded Coppercloud (and maybe a more hard to pierce coppercloud). Tin: Senses so improved to give a daredevil like feel...it comes to the cost that the body is so addicted to the Allomancy to be quite senseless without Pewter: immunity to pain (many pewter savant died, because they aren't unable to understand their own conditions. As far as I remember the example we know ...Some Misting as Smoker and Seeker are usually Savant without even knowing, because they burning quite no-stop their metal. - Compound It's a little hack that allow to use together two metallic art and in the end. Allow to free generate Feruchemical Charge. It's already explained full in the books and on the forum. But it works using a compatible metalmind as filtrer for the allomancy. This re-write the Allomantic effect of burning a metal and instead of Allomantic Power you obtain a Feruchemical Charge (more than the one in the burned Metalmind) - Reverse Compound (an unofficial name and probably it's not in topic...but I prefer to be complete): As far as we know the "reverse compounding" it's the skill that allow to boost allomancy using Feruchemy. It may be performed with every allomantic metal and Feruchemical Nicrosil. You store your Allomantic Strenght and then you may tap it to be for some time a stronger allomancer. This would give up no "extra powers" but only an improved raw Allomantic Strenght.
  14. Maybe I read the conversation in the wrong way (or maybe there is another part you didn't post yet) but seems to me that Brandon talked the whole time of Hemalurgy alone. not of a Savantism developed through Hemalurgy. PS: I am not sure, there is another part when He talk about Stormlight ? Or you extrapolate the "black" statement from the posted part ?
  15. Yeah it was just an idea of mine. I have to read AoL's Annotations jet....It seems just strange to me that nobody else (as far as I remember) developed this trick
  16. The only I know is the name of Dalinar's wife. You may find it in Stormlight Section : Also if weirywriter asked him/her to add it here too EDIT: I am an Idiot, there is this thread but I didn't see it
  17. actually Breath are Endowment Manifestation in the same way of Mist-->Preservation. The flower have problably some similar connection to her.....Maybe they grow near her shardpool and they retain some of Endowment's Investiture or simply their dye are more compatible to be used with Endowment's power without be more invested.
  18. It's the way they are described by Khriss who suggest heavely that they are supernatural effect born from the mixing of those powers. They may or not be related to the source abilities...we don't know. For example I find some likely between his powers and his Steel bubble...And to me it's the main possibility until now for his "perk". It's pure speculation but I see it as a "mass with an omni steelpush quite atonomous". So far as I know, no Mistborn did it in the original trilogy and neither other Coinshoot in the old o new books.
  19. of course @Pagerunner in my post. I took Harmony & Kandra's words as proofs. I completely discharged the possibility of lies...my bad. Anyway I don't really think an Atium Alloy Spike would have all the Atium's proprieties and also an extra effect. It's just an idea of mine, but I find it unlikely
  20. Szeth "believes" that a Surgebinder can't heal from a Shardblade hit...and his mind would prevent him from heal such spiritual wound. It's the same thing as Shallan and the 10 heartbeats, she don't want to admit she can summon her Shardblade without delay...and the shardblade delays. When Szeth see Kaladin's healing... He goes crazy and run from Mr T because if the KR is real, he is not a truthless, ecc.... Mr T tricks him with the idea of a missing Honorblade who has the Progression Surge. A surge that Heals....He toys with Szeth's knowledge to made him think that Kal used the Progression Surge to heal himself, and Szeth willing to believe, actually believes to this lie.
  21. Yes but while Elantris didn't work...nothing suggest something different about any other magic in those timeframe or when Elantris was restored. This probably mean that whatever effect Elantris has in manipulating Aonic's Dor...it's something relate only to this specific store of Dor.
  22. @Elenion Elantris is indeed an AonDor booster. It greatly enhanced this specific sub-Magic System. The rightfull "full power level" of AonDor is what we see in Teod or before Elantris's fix in Elantris (at that time, Elantris didn't work). But the "distance problem" is something built into Sel Magic System and this effect is spread among all the Selish Sub-Magic System (AonDor, Drahok, Forgery, Bloodsealing,ecc...). Elantris alone doesn't explain the reason...much more because for 10 years Elantris didn't work
  23. Well they are the top among the magic user...therefore SuperUser (it start with S) and thay may destroy everyone with SUDO attacks
  24. Like @The One Who Connects (that i find a cool nick) said the alluminium isn't allomantical inert (it's a burnable metal after all)...it has some anti-Investiture abilities. The reason is unknown, but the fanbase began to product tons of theories: The mine for example, is that the aluminium is "spiritual empty" or without some relevant Spiritual Connection Edit: ninjed by Pagerunner
  25. I am still about "the Returned need Investiture to resist the call of the Beyond" after all they are not really resurected...or they will not die when they give away their Divine Breath
