As other have already said. The "God King" is just a standard Returned with a ton of Breath...there isn't nothing special in him or in his Divine Breath (other than be an Awakener of the tenth Highening). Almost all the "special features" of the Godking is actually fake or a misdirection as example: - Every Returned may reproduce with the right method (or methods) as Vo did. It's not a feature of the God King only, simply they teach to the God King the method and they hope for the best (note: In the book we meet also a member of the Royal Family who Returned) - The Godking's Divine Breath may heal a single person at once, the stories about "saving an entire village" are just excuse for removing a God King when someone else inherits his Breath Treasure. If for hypotesis every people of the capital will give his Breath to a Returned....you will have 2 God Kings. Now about the Priesthood. The God King's tradiction is quite recent, it has only 300 years (in warbreaker) and start when Vasher retire himself from the ruling giving this Treasure (that after 300 years is quite the 30-60% bigger by the way) to someone else. If everytime the godking changes Endowment's vessel change as well first of all we have probably a lot of Endowment's sliver running across Nalthis and much more no godking had actually a mother (because she will Ascend) while we know that Susebron was in his first years careb by his mother

We are starting to mix thinks together: first of all we don't know if Stormlight is Honor's Investiture (and I actually don't thinks so) or if the Rider of the Storm was an Honor's Spren. Anyway the Rider was a Storm's manager from before Honor's death....it's not something he gain merging with Tanavast (probably he gain only a stable mind that allow him to be in the physical without the need of a bond). @Amanuensis Another confusion is about what is a Cognitive Shadow...It's simply a ghost. It not carry any special power, if you read SH (I avoided to quote part of it early because I was afraid to spoiler you...but you quote the story, therefore no problem). You may see how the Shard's influence over the ex-vessel fade with an incredible rate. Ati was no more Ruin driven and the same Kelsier with Preservation (One of his first actions was to hit a poor Ati after all). Therefore if (for hypotesis) Skai was keeping to enfore a global domininion on Sel....It's just his fault/decision, no Shardic Influence there and in the end we may notice how the Cognitive Shadow are "setted" there are not reflection of human mind or anything else..and probably also the Splinter once developed are quite mind-indipendant (just see how the Stormfather don't think to be Jezrien also if for a thousand of years at least entire nations think to him as Jezrien)

@Spoolofwhool thanks for the reference. this part is interesting: This made me think in W&W's era someone is doing the only experiment possible with Identity and only Misting-Ferring-Twinborn. Using a Trueself to access on another Trueself's Metamind. The "early results are promising" may mean only two things: - The Trueself was capable of actually tapping another Trueself's Metalmind. - The Trueself was capable of feeling the Alluminiumind charge without any "unreachable amount of power" but he/she can't tap it because it's impossible to stap and store with the same power at the same time (something we don't know yet). Both of them point to "An Identityless being may bypass Intentity-bound mechanism"
-
maybe the one I already posted. I edited my post to add a reference

When Someone (Vin included) Ascend the body is vaporized but it's not destroyed in classical sense...It stored somewhere (probably physical merged with the Shard). When you release the Shard (or simply die)...The body will re-spawn again and in the case of a willing release of the Shard it's still alive and usable. We see this with: Leras, Ati and Vin. Probably also Rashek for some seconds/minutes was bodyless but here we have no direct references Relevant WoB:

Because the Dor is in the end "A lot of Splinters without a central control" if also there is a Cognitive Shadow of a ex-Vessel. This would be only a Ghost in the Ravaging Dor (good luck to survive there). Maybe Skai or Aona may try the same trick Tanavast Did (merging with a Splinter) but in the end on Sel there aren't Splinter of greater magnitude. Skai would be merge with a Skaze and we may have a little more than an average Skage. The Stormfather was a Greater Spren also before He merged with Tanavast's cognitive Shadow (probably equal to Nightwatcher)

Well Preservation said he is too invested in "this area" and He can't reach points very far from "this area" and Ruin is bound to similar limitation
-
exactly. Well maybe you are a bit gently and chose another and less lethal bindpoint...But this is just my Theory we have no proof about.
-
You have right...Plan B "Hi Dad, May I use your cool Honorblade for 10 seconds ? I have just to heal myself with Stormlight"
-
@If.you.die.I.go.stupid yes....Shallan as a child was already to the point to made Pattern-Shardblade (and indeed She used it to kill her mother or her mother's friend) then She was shocked and began to mental block his Bond with Patter...Our poor Patter flee to the Cognitive to avoid an awful destiny and the Bond became very very weak. She have to forge her bond again...through Truths.
-
Maybe I am wrong but we have some information about the not casuality of the similiar word "Hoid and Hoed"

First of all thanks for sharing this WoB I have to say that your idea about Jaddeth have merit, I like it...the only problem I may see to it is about the timeline. Why would Skai wait so long before began to act ? I have another point to express because reading your post made me think you misunderstood a little what happen when a Shard is Splintered. When a Shard's Vessel die and his/her Shard is Splintered. What happen is this: 1) The Vessel is killed and his/her body re-appear from nothing. He/She and the Shard are now completely separated. 2) The Vessel as everyone else, travel to the Cognitive Realm before reach the Beyond. But as formal Ascended being he/she may stop the Beyond's pull and remain forever as Cognitive Shadow. 3) Its Investiture is pulled down into the Cognitive Realm (based on the only 3 Splintering we see) and ripped apart....now there are a tons of Splinters. If we may uses Stormlight event as guide....Maybe Skai as a Cognitive Shadow decide to remain in the Realms. But you have to notice that now Skai is no more driven by Dominion's Mandate and is quite a man (well a ghost) with free will.

No WoB (as far as I know there only one who goes near but it not actually answer this doubt) and maybe the Lightweaver have need of more/less step in the bonding to summon their Blade. I wanted just to point that Shallan has actually spoken her "3 oaths" when first summoned her Blade in the books. She didn't finish the process before. The spoken WoB:
-
Actually it's a bit strange....the spren seems began to emulate the honorblade and directly began to bond with Humans. Of course it's possible we don't know all the background but until now is an unlikely possibility In the end is more likely that the Honorblades was already present on Roshar (made by Adonalsium) and Honor took them away from the listeners (the DawnShard) to give them to the Heralds....but it's still not very likely
-
The topic is more complex but actually "trell" has not need of invest directly on Scadrial to create a godmetal...He/she/it may invest in an meteor with an inner trellium core and send among the cosmere to hit Scadrial. He need to made "certain thing" (that I actually don't know) to made his metal integrated with the people and for exampe made possible a Trellium Misting or Trellium Ferring....But until now we see his effect only through Hemalurgy, a magic art who don't need a specific sDNA to be used
-
Sorry Maxal but this is (probably) untrue. Shallan has probably spoken their 2 truths as a child and develop Patternblade (It's stupid but I love the name) then she made Pattern flee and their bond almost broke (for the nature of her Order is possible they may develop quite faster in crisis situation....maybe her mum attempt to kill her was a source of a truth, something like "my mother doesn't love me") In the first book She "thinks" she may summon a Shardblade but she never actual did it (their attempt to summon it made them capable of her fist Soulcast but actually this stop her from the summon). The first time she actually summon Patterblade (after her Shipwreck) and at this point she already told again two truths ("I am scary" and "I killed my father" probably not the exact wording but my book isn't in english) that are equals to the Third Oath for another order.
-
If the Radiant Actually broke their Oaths the Spren would die BUT if the Radiant didn't broke their Oath the Shardblade would not last while his Radiant-partner go too far. Rememebr also that took years-century for the human to figure how to bond a Deadblade. Before that moment I think the Shardblade was observed quite 24/7.

This is indeed true @Darkness I imagine that the popolation who firs discover how to leave their planet without using other Realm would be the popolation with more issues to worldhop. People with a little of ambiental Investiture or where the Worldhop is harder.

Actually a Forgery is more likely to a Lifeless than a Returned....of course the mechanic is different (A Forgery is really more refined). I actually have some problems with the idea of the Divine Breath who emulates the Returned's soul (and they are the same of other similar topic): - Endowment actually ask the people if they want to Return, if she simply uses the body with a Soul replacement. there is no need of this. - A lifeless is a "worse soul" and still he has no need of a weekly Breath to keep moving - A Returned may suppress his/her Divine Breath....if the Divine Breath is actually your soul you can't suppress it.
