    I've never played tabletop role-play before but I once had to step in as dungeon master while a friend of mine (who is an employee at a local game store) stepped out to get lunch. It was an educational experience.

    I bought The Eye of the World a few months ago in a little cafe in the nearest town, but have never gotten around to really reading it. I'm at the part where Egwene and Perrin and Elyas have just recently left the Tinker's encampment.

    Well, the Basin has rarely extended beyond its own little area. Possibly out of laziness, but perhaps if they had some sort of faster travel, they could go out and explore more. Perhaps electrum metallions? Electrum/Bronze metallions? To keep work ethic high.

    The way I see it, the two are interchangeable. Like, I identify as bisexual, and so does my sister for that matter, but I'd date someone who identified as trans or whatever. As long as they were decent human beings and I was at least sort of into them. ...it's complicated But, as the old saying goes, diff'rent strokes for diff'rent...uh...people.

    That's how it is here too. It rained for a full three days non stop this past weekend, then it was brisk and chilly, then hot then cold again. Jesus, weather, make up your mind. I know teenage girls less indecisive than this. And... arvo?

    So, I just finished Shadows for Silence in the Forests of Hell, which I shall henceforth refer to as Silence, for short. Aside from being an excellent novella, and a thrilling story, I noticed some stuff. For example: Why silver? Silver has never done anything on any other planets. In fact, it's been quite useless on Scadrial. Another thing I noticed: People on Threnody have very basic names, sometimes names that seem incongruous and yet familiar to those of us here on Earth. What if, dear readers (and this is a very big if), what they call "silver" on Threnody would be referred to as "aluminum" or possibly "ralkalest" on other worlds? Also, Threnody seems to be the major contender for the ever-elusive Survival Shard's hiding place, and you can possibly see its effects on the peoples of that world.
