  1. Basically, he told us that it hasn't happened, people don't think it could happen. But he never said that it couldn't happen. This series contains a lot of Chekov's Guns; I'm just waiting for Rlain's to fire.
  2. @Silverblade5 You handled this very well, I think. If you want, I could whip you up a playlist of songs. What kind are you looking for? Just deeper ones?
  3. So, after some rereads, and some internet scouring, I have decided to set up a thread of possible Radiant theories. I shall head this topic with my personal favorite: Rlain. We all grew to love Rlain as Shen, the endearingly dull parshman Bridgeman. But when he became non-dullform, revealed himself and his name, and then asked for forgiveness from his teammates, I had a realization: Rlain might be the Listener Radiant we've all been waiting for. And I think he is a Releaser. The Releasers were typically misunderstood and "misjudged based on the nature of their powers and the similarity in their name to the Voidbringers" (source: the Coppermind). Rlain, as a listener, is very misjudged by most of society as being evil, and cruel, when, in fact, he means well for all (that was a lot of commas in one sentence; I apologize) Anyway... Thoughts? Angles? Impressions?
  4. My dad says he's worried but that I can't be much worse than my sister (and she waited until she was 18 to get her license, cause she kept putting it off!) I think I can drive okay though. I'll be fifteen in 3 months so I'll be getting my permit before long. If anyone happens to drive through Kingsport and gets hit by a tall teen driving a car, it's probably me. And I apologize in advance. Also, @TwiLyghtSansSparkles, that's what I'm talkin' 'bout! That's the "New Chapter" shout-out we needed!
  5. You make an excellent point. What is regarded as profanity may seem objective, but it's a very interesting topic.
  6. Kevin is flirting with Carlos in the Desert Otherworld.

Oh, nuh-uh. No. Not okay. Please. No. Stop. Quit. Cut it out, you blood-soaked, smiley, congenial madman. Leave Carlos alone. No. Stop. Carlos, don't even think about i--- OH NO. NOT OKAY. ON A SCALE OF ONE TO NOT OKAY, THIS IS NOT OKAY.

      Oh. Wait.

      Carlos is coming back! Rejoice!

  7. This is true. I always love seeing the prolouge/epilogue of Name of the Wind whenever I decide to reread it.
  8. Kingkiller is phenomenal. Rothfuss is almost as good as Sanderson, but Brandon holds a special place in my heart.
  9. A lot of my friends have parents like these. The way I see it, if you're not willing to put the child before you at all times, you shouldn't be having children.
  10. Biscuit child, be kind to me. Bring me warmth, honey, and flowers; for it is I, the last person to read this when I wasn’t here before, so if you aren’t what I am then, honey will bloom a flower of honey-baked ham with no warm gravy for the children of my bubbling biscuits, so be kind to me for I am cold and alone. Amen.

  11. No, Jake. No, you don't. You do not want a cookie. Or any other goodies offered to you. Do not accept the cookie, Jake. Don't do it. Also, the Mistborn saga is my favorite.
  12. That's true. But it's not bad on crackers. I love school lunch. We get an hour to just do whatever (We don't even have to eat if we don't wanna). I just sit around in the science pod (the big area where all the science classes are---my school's layout is weird) with my friends and make jokes or look at memes or read or play guitar. One time I fell asleep on the floor.
  13. Quivs! You changed your profile pic! It looks good! I understand feeling like a failure. I may be half your age but I think I know what you're going through. A tidbit of wisdom from my dad, a while back: you'll never feel successful if you're not doing something you love. I know folks who suck at guitar, but they love it, so they feel good about themselves. Find something you feel passionate about, and you'll never fail. Also, about the second thing... You never know who you affect in life. Every day, you pass by thousands of beautiful, intricate strangers with full, complex, complicated lives like your own. You never know how much you can affect these random people. After all, you've affected all of us, for the better, and we've never met you. You are a wonderful, beautifully strange creation. And, truly, a good man. There should be more of those, not less. Think less about who won't miss you, and more about who will. We're all counting down the clock 'til it runs out, Quivs. You can't stop the progression of time, so live now. Life before death, strength before weakness, journey before destination. (I know I sound like a walking Sander-cliche but it holds true )
  14. Dude, Easy Cheese is the best. I once went through a whole can in less than a week.
  15. Not really. You can try contacting him via his website, though.
  16. Hiya, Jake! I'm bleeder. Geographically, we don't live very far from each other! I'm in East TN. I used to live in NC, though. Welcome to the Shard! As you said, it is awesome and you make new friends. Sanderson's writings are the best, that is true. Your enthusiasm for this site is admirable. If you ever need any pointers, feel free to message me. Also, don't eat or drink anything offered to you; It'll Ruin your life and your appetite. Anyways, welcome!
  17. Voidus, it's 6:45 AM and I'm laughing so hard I think I just cried a little. It's time to stop.
  18. What time is it for you right about now?
  19. A lot. I did once find Jammy Dodgers, though, at my local Food City (generic southern supermarket store), and they were amazing. Wait, Mestiv, define surprising. What to you would be surprising?
  20. All you need to know, really.
