Well that's interesting. It seems the eliminator got action blocked, so the kill couldn't even be attempted. This could be good news. Who did it? Or, the Eliminators are really tricky and didn't put a kill order in because they wanted us to think that. But that seems too tricky for such a late time in the game. Stink, I want to hear your reasoning for killing Mark. I've been suspicious of him before, but I want to see your reasoning.

*Sigh* Burnt, congratulaitions. Your helpfullness has thouroghly spooked me. That plus the fact I missed that you knew that Nyali was being protected. Kynedath. Because the only other person I'm pretty sure is villager is Twei.

What turn was this? Was this the most recent night? And what you're saying is Mark's T2 action (which I assume is some seeking role), got sent to me? EDIT- And why would the Eliminators try to redirect both the "transfer" and the seeking on to me if I'm an Eliminator? That seems to be drawing far too much attention to me if I was an Eliminator.

Current vote tally- Wilson- Nyali, Burnt, Mark Burnt- Wilson, Zas Mark- Stink, Kynedath- Wilson So it's currently a tie between Wilson and Burnt. Wilson's got Shardplate with at least one hit left on it (though I think it's recharged by now), and it's unclear if Burnt has Shardplate or not. EDIT- Burnt is really trying to push that she's innocent. Preparing for her items to go to a semi-confirmed person, canceling her vote on Wilson. Is this her being useful? Or trying to have Wilson or I change our vote on her? I'm unsure.

Yes, I received a Shardblade last night. It seems that it came from Wilson, unless some funky stuff is going on. Here's what happened last night cycle from my point of view. So during the night (about 3:30 AM), Burnt messages me, asking what my opinions of Wilson are, then, unexpectedly at roll over, Mail informs me that I received a Shardblade. Burnt immediately messages me asking me if I received an item. I told her that I had, surprisingly, and asked her if she knew it was from, and I also told her that Wilson seemed presumed innocent, but I was still wary of her. Burnt replied that Wilson claims that she gave it to me, and that Burnt has been suspicious of Wilson, since Wilson was the only one who knew about her item at her reset. Admittedly, I didn't catch that the Shardblade that Nyali was talking about was the same one I got when I first posted. Then the whole thing came out in thread. I wasn't contacted by Wilson about any of this- I messaged her this morning, and she told me that she didn't message me because it was a spur of the moment decision and she forgot to include me in the plan, and then life happened right after the rollover. So let's look at four options. One. Nyali is evil. This seems very unlikely do to the multitude of villagery things Nyali has done. Two. Wilson is evil. So that means that Wilson said the blade would go to Nyali, but instead puts out a kill order on Nyali (or is aware of it). For reasons unknown, Wilson decides to give the Shardblade to me. When she realizes that Nyali was protected instead, Wilson claims that her gift to Nyali was redirected to me to try and cast the blame on me. Burnt takes the bait, telling Wilson that if I got the redirected blade, I must be evil, so Wilson's releaved. But then, Nyali sees through it, and accuses Wilson. Wilson now states that she was suspicious of Nyali, so that's why she sent it to me. If this is true, why not let me know? She could've told me that she was giving me a Shardblade because she believed I was good? I don't know. I can't figure out why Wilson would even give me a Shardblade in this circumstance, and then not communicate with me. I suppose it only makes sense if both of us were Ghostbloods. Three. Burnt is evil. Burnt starts trying to push me to be a little more suspicious of Wilson. Wilson sees something funny going on with either Nyali or Burnt, and decides to give me the Shardblade, because she didn't want it falling into bad hands. A different Ghostblood tries to kill Nyali and fails. At rollover, when Wilson gives the misdirection to Nyali and Burnt, Burnt starts trying to make Wilson suspicious of me, while Nyali decides to go after Wilson. Burnt's happy as long as it's a villager who's under suspicion, so she goes along with that new plan. This makes sense to me because it seems odd that Burnt seems to trust both Wilson and I when we speak with her, but then she tells us privately that she's suspicious of us. Four. All three are good. That would mean that motivations and such stand pretty much as they've been explained in thread. Of the four options, I think that 3 or 4 makes the most sense to me. I will currently go with Burnt, but I could probably be persuaded to go for someone else. EDIT- I realized what Evil!Wilson's motivation for giving me the item would be- to place me with the guilt. The GB's kill Nyali, then Wilson cries in the thread that her Shardblade was redirected to me instead of Nyali, and I get lynched with the murder of Nyali. It's possible. But I still think that Wilson's tone this game has been of a villager than an Eliminator. But then again, maybe just the fact that I received a Shardblade from her makes me trust her more. Double Edit- Retracted vote on Burnt.

I'll wait to vote for Wilson until she's responded to the accusation. I will say this though- It seems unlikely that Kasimir, Lopen, Orlok, AND Wilson would all be eliminators together with one or two other people. It seems like many GMs try to mix up the Eliminators so that there's a good balance between highly experienced eliminators, moderate eliminators, and beginning eliminators. I could most definitely be wrong though. Mail could've been willing to get a more powerful group- but if there is, I would bet it's smaller. So Kas had a spanreed. Did anyone have an open PM with him? Did anyone give it to him? If they didn't, there's a chance we might be able to "trust" people who started out with spanreeds. If there's only 4 spanreeds, and a fourth of the people are eliminators (5 or 6 of the 28), then it's likely they only had one of the 4 spanreeds. Also, who was attacked? Who blocked the attack? That should be something we need to know. So Kas had a spanreed. Did anyone have an open PM with him? Did anyone give it to him? If they didn't, there's a chance we might be able to "trust" people who started out with spanreeds.

Hello again everyone! Yes, I'm sorry I didn't post this last cycle, and that I've generally been only semi-active. I thought I was going to have much more time than I have once school got out, but this new job has been sucking up all my energy. But whenever I log on to 17th Shard, I make sure to log on and post here. And it's true, Twei, that I haven't been being great at analyzing. Part of this is because I haven't played SE for a while, and when I grow suspicious of players (such as Elodin and Luna), they die and end up being innocent. So, rather than continuing to point, I want to hang back and wait and see and grow more sure before I make accusations. But then since I'm only semi-active, I don't really get the chance to develop a better sense of who is an Eliminator. That being said, it's good to know that Kynedath has Shardplate. That seems to be the only way to block a lynch. I'm not sure if this makes him more or less likely to be an Eliminator or not. Full-out inactivity generally points to someone not being an Eliminator, but not always. Sometimes an Eliminator has stuff come up in their lives too. Something else that I want to point out, Nyali, from your web of contacted information- it is more than possible that one of your contacts with an information item is an Eliminator and may or may not be lying to you about who didn't make the kill. It's not certain, but with the number of people you had cleared, it seems more than likely. Just be cautious about that.

Wait, I poke voted a Ghostblood? Who then got lynched thanks to some clever reasoning? Awesome! This teaches me a very valuable lesson: Don't think before voting. In all seriousness, good job Nyali. I'm kind of surprised that Lopen admitted it, but I suppose he saw the writing on the wall. But we do have his "suspicion" list to go through, though how much is real and how much is fake is anyone's guess. Yeah, after reading through it I realized that it's going to be too hard to tell who is good and who isn't. Did he put red herrings in there? Did he put some right people to throw us off? I can't tell. EDIT- Below are a handful of Lopen posts. I didn't pull all of them, just some of them that I thought were interesting. Going through them makes me take back what I said about Mark being helpful- even though he was, Lopen was also saying it, and they could've decided in the doc to do it to get rid of an innocent people thought was good. So he's back at slightly suspicious. And has anyone had anything stolen from them? It would be good to know if we still have a thief around.

If you mean that by "all of us" wanting to lynch Trel, you mean 2 people, than sure. Before your duel, most of the discussion was on the posibility of a thief, and on the plethora of Grandbow kill. Your statement above doesn't seem to be a real indicator of what the circumstances were. It sounds more like after-the-fact rationalization. Which makes me suspicious. Also, Lopen, I'd still like to hear from you.

I answered some of it above, but to be thorough... Nope. I had no contact with Joe. No, I didn't. I didn't have any PMs with anybody at that point in the game. I didn't. Probably because Joe read my accusation and vote of Elodin from Day 2, agreed with it, though apparently not enough to vote for him. Or I suppose, he didn't see it until after the end of the cycle. I posted late-ish. Afraid not. I haven't had any PMs open with Joe this whole game, nor words passed through grapevines with him.

Hey all. Sorry I haven't been around lately- that I was inactive for a day or two. I'm rereading the thread and will give my impressions once I'm caught up. EDIT- Alvron- No, I didn't know about his blade. I wasn't in communication with him. I assume that the reason why Joe attacked Elodin because of me was because of the suspicion and vote I had placed on Elodin on Day 2. As for the Duel, that was a massive waste of time, which makes me suspicious of DC. However, Mark's levelheaded suggestion of a "night lynch", allowing us to continue discussion was a levelheaded idea that makes me less suspicious of him That's most of the take I have so far, besides the fact that I'm at least convinced that both Wilson and DC aren't Eliminators. One of them might be (I would lean towards DC, if only because Wilson's tone seems to be more villager than Eliminator), but I would say definitely not both. This duel (and the PM dispute earlier) seems to have a little too much frustration in it to be nefariously fabricated by two conniving Eliminators. DOUBLE EDIT- I'll also add on a poke vote to Lopen. I don't remember hearing anything from you in a long time, and I want to know what your take on the game so far is.

So was Burnt the person who "wasn't killed" by the Grandbow? Did anyone catch what Burnt's alignment was before the reset?

Well, that means I'm 0 for 2. Sorry Luna!! Also, sorry that I didn't post after my post at the beginning of last cycle, I thought that I would have more time after school got out than I have. The next person on my suspicious list is Mark. It seems as if his posts are a little forced? I'll go through them tomorrow.

It's true- is there anyone who has known worldhopper Hoid for an extended period of time who likes him and agrees with him? I mean the closest I think we've seen so far is the Letter recipient, who still is arguing with Hoid about intervention.

I now feel a little bad- not only was I blatantly wrong in my voting, but I may have influenced the Shardbearer to attack (if they're not an Eliminator, which seems to make more sense unless they thought that Elodin had protection). Ah well. Live and learn. So. Orlok was an Eliminator, eh? Let's see what he posted... Because I don't think Strawman's activity has been helpful - it seems ill thought through, and, as Joe quite rightly said, has taken too much attention from other players. During Night 2, he posts about history war stuff. Pretty interesting, but not relevant. Then on Day 2... Then Night 2... Nyali, I must admit to being a little surprised by this. Last day cycle, you explained that your suspicion of me was due to my being the second vote on Strawman, and due to defending LUNA. I shall address each of these in turn. Having read through the game, the first seems incongruous with you statement on Day 1, where you voted on Strawman as the 5th vote (4th not counting Deathclutch's vote in spite of having made an heir), for exactly the same reasons as I set out to explain my having voted on Strawman, and the edit Strawman had made of his post. Now, given Strawman's edit was a misinterpretation of the rules, I don't think it should have been given any weight in terms of analysing his actions, which means that your vote was based on exactly the same information mine was - and if mine was unsound, so too must have been your own. Regarding defending LUNA, I shall reiterate my statements from the first day. I had (and have) little view on LUNA's alignment - but I did believe her to be more useful than Strawman from their limited interactions, and so decided to even the lynch to prevent it being led by a nominally dice decided vote - although one you later accurately point out was based on a roll of dice from players already with two votes, which made only LUNA eligible - a somewhat inconsistent argument from Strawman, and one which I felt should not be responsible for leading a lynch. Further, I think that basing my alignment on a view of LUNA's alignment, and my single interaction (if it can even be called that) with LUNA is a little tenuous. Regarding my inactivity. I'll apologise to everyone - I have been unwell these last few days, and struggling to keep up with work despite being ill. I'm feeling somewhat better today though, and the work is now once again very manageable. Whilst I will be out tomorrow evening, I can guarantee that I shall be fully active at the weekend - and so able to participate in the second half of Day 3 at the very least. So pretty much all of Orlok's participation in the game has boiled down to his defense of the day 1 lynch victim Luna, and his vote for Strawman. This makes Luna a natural suspect, though it's possible Orlok was just pretending, picking one villager to defend, and then defending that decision. Also, Nyali seems to be a little more of a villager after prodding Orlok some more, when it wasn't obvious to do so. Clearly, a clever Eliminator can do the same thing, but it seems unlikely when Orlok didn't have a ton of suspicion on him in the first place. EDIT- Formatting

I agree, your questions and ideas are helpful, and I apologize for coming off too strong. I suppose the reason why I'm suspicious is because your play style mimics the way I try to be when I'm an elminator. This response though seems sincere, and makes me less suspicious. Still suspicious, but much less so.

I didn't vote last round because I didn't see anyone acting suspiciously enough to place a day 1 lynch to them. As for posting this cycle, I haven't had much time till know- I just barely got caught up in the thread. But, having read through the thread, there's someone who pops out to me- Master Elodin. He seems to be hitting that eliminator sweet spot of semi-active, while not contributing enormous amounts. Someone who's trying to fly under the radar. I have his posts semi-analyzed below. Then again, I don't know Master Elodin very well, and this could be within his normal playstyle. Does someone who's played with him want to give their opinion of him? This post seems... stronger than needed. I remember when I was an eliminator, I would sometimes play up being affronted by the eliminators to make them seem as my enemies. These few posts seem to be mostly beginnerness. Is it real? Is the innocent new playerness being played up? And this is an echo of another's statement- which is suspicious to me.

And why is that? Just so that it means something, so it's not a throwaway vote? I'm going to refrain from voting right now. Neither Luna nor Strawman "stick out" enough to be first day lynched in my opinion. Unless we're just wanting to do a random shot in the dark.

I've got a question. So for the Ghostbloods, they have an "additional goal" of having a Shardblade and a Soulcaster. Is this a true Win condition? Or just extra credit? Because that should affect how we strategize. Especially with the duel. If by the duel you publicly admit to being a Shardbearer, then you pretty much set yourself up to being the next person killed by the Ghostbloods (unless you are them, or they're being sneaky, or they already have a Shardbearer). They'll attack in order to gain the Shardblade to gain their "alternate win". I suppose if it is a true win condition, it makes it more likely that anyone with a Shardblade or a Soulcaster isn't a Ghostblood. But if it's just extra credit, we can't really rely on that.
