  1. @Araris Valerian halp ED1T: @InfiniteInsanity What do you make out of this? Or are you just an elim cutting out noise before you die
  2. Edit got ninja'd so reposting it ED1T: Okay. In a v!Silho world, then it'd have to be 4 elims with the 4th either being Elkanah or Turtle, no? In which case, why does Elkanah vote Insanity first today? More busing / distancing? Same question applies to e!Silho voting e!Insanity now. Is it just Insanity/Turtle??? You really want that chaos demon title, huh
  3. (3) Insanity: Elkanah, Aman, Archer, (1) Elkanah: Araris, (1) Silhouette: Tani, (1) JNV: Silhouette, Something something this wagon formation always catches wolves something something
  4. Sorry y'all, had a busy day today but should be around for the rest of the turn. I was very confused by your initial post last night, but this makes sense. I thought you were voting for Elkanah and also clearing him for putting JNV in their null tier right before they were NK'd. Lmao. It's okay. This increases me v!credences of you, barring the scenario where yourself and Archer are on a team and planned this interaction explicitly to derp clear you In that case, Insanity. I hate that this is basically a mechanical confirmation, but I really don't want to vote out a villager today in case we live in a 5 elim world. The fact that no one has pushed back on Elkanah is concerning, as well as the fact that @Elkanah hasn't really attempted to defend themselves? I feel like an elim here would want to fight tooth and nail unless they've basically given up. ((ED1T: Scratch that, I missed this post by Elkanah)) (2) Elkanah: Archer, Araris, (2) Insanity: Elkanah, Aman, (1) Silhouette: Tani, (1) JNV: Silhouette, @Ookla the Implosion unless Araris is an elim, we know for sure that Silhouette did not kill JNV last night, and thus it's better for us to vote out one of the people who could've done the deed. Was there a particular reason why you had Elkanah in your bottom-most tier in your reads list? I've yet to see any compelling arguments against him other than either not voting or following major trains, and my personal vibedar hasn't really raised my hackles with him like it did for Chantara. @Ookla the Debonair could you also vote for a living candidate? I appreciate a good joke as much as the next guy, but considering this is a potential exlo situation and we've only got ~11? hours left, it's time for us to buckle up and kill some bad guys Personally, my theory is a team of Shallash!Stick, Bladeless!Chantara, Ishar!Insanity, and Bladeless!Silho with a potential 5th player tacked on between Elkanah and Turtle. This theory banks on Insanity putting in the kill because Silho+Turtle weren't available to, or Elkanah put in the kill with Insanity being a teammate Ishar loading him up with stormlight for the blades he's been collecting. Nothing else makes sense to me from my current PoV.
  5. I'm a bit confused. You're clearing Elkanah and Araris for having JNV in the null range last night? Also why are you eyeing me haha Tani posted a reads list last night
  6. (2) Elkanah: Archer, Araris, (1) Insanity: Elkanah, (1) Silhouette: Tani, @Ashbringer In the event that Turtle doesn't come back / you can't find another pinch hitter, what happens? Does he get filter killed?
  7. I have, yeah, but it's been a long time + I can't remember any games where she was an elim. I don't think I've ever been certain about her alignment and I tend to lean Village. Right now that's my assessment but it's not strong enough to 100% guarantee e!Insanity. No, hence me saying 80% Insanity 20% Tani from my PoV but if I was an elim I'd say no anyway, so don't take my word for it And tbh I suspected Xino before I subbed in because of Kas' D3 graphs + I haven't done anything to guarantee I'm village + I can't be mechanically cleared due to bladelessness. Me pushing Chantara yesterday, as Araris has pointed out, is within my elim range
  8. That's essentially the plan, but we have ~30 hours left and most of us would rather consider every option / not bank the game on a coin flip Especially because the elims among us will be trying to direct us to a villager to ensure their victory, and you're also discounting the possibility of there being a deep wolf among Archer, me, or Almighty-forbid, Araris. Part of the problem is, there's most definitely 1 elim between <Insanity, Tani, and me> unless the elims only started with Shallash's blade, which imo would be absurd. From my PoV, it's like an 80% chance of Insanity and 20% of Tani, but even then, the risk is too big to just decide on a whim. Ideally, we want to go for the vote with the most evidence / suspicion. Alternatively, there's the subset of Bladeless <You, Elkanah, Turtle, Archer> whose actions can't be accounted for at all, and even if there's 2 elims among that group, that's still a big gamble. If there are just 2 elims left (and thus just 1 in each subset), then it's not as big of a deal if we get today wrong, but then picking from this group also means we're more likely to vote wrong and potentially get outplayed by any Blades the remaining elims have. There's a chance Araris and I are overthinking things and the team is the obvious choices, but personally, I'd always rather overthink than underthink (if that makes any sense). ED1T: Oh, that's not what I meant. I meant that Araris would live from the protection and therefore be able to confirm D7 that Insanity gave him 2 more charges of stormlight instead of submitting the N6 kill.
  9. Hey, that's Araris' line! But agreed =\ I can kinda get a villager seeing the 2nd elim flip and feeling a lil more comfortable — it did buy us some time — but I'm similarly concerned because if there's 3 elims left, we either need to get today's vote right or block tonight's elim kill to avoid parity. Right now I'm thinking: does an elim say "I feel good about this game" after losing a teammate while the rest of us are low-key floundering? It almost feels like asking for suspicion. If anything, I'm just more confused about Silho's slot. Regarding Insanity, Araris. What do you think about having them use Tension on you tonight? You're very likely to have protection, unless Paliah protected you yesterday and Tani gets RB'd by an elim with the Kalak blade, but it's a way to keep Insanity accountable going into D7. Alternatively, do you think it's better we remove the Ishar blade from the elim's hands before they can use it again? Given no one has claimed the Kalak blade, I'm kinda assuming it's with Alvron's killer at this point. Is there a way we could maybe determine who the most likely player from N4 to kill him was, among those who are here now? It clearly wasn't Chantara.
  10. That's fair. I generally have better gut vibes from Elk than Shining, but I wouldn't bet any money on either's alignment. Feel that. For me it's Insanity or Tani, and I have better vibes about Tani. True. I was more thinking about it as a v!Elkanah scenario for why e!Insanity would put in the kill instead of using Tension. We've got a lot of time left in this turn and don't want us locked into Elk too early for nothing, just in case. Ugh. That kinda just makes me want to leave Insanity alive to see if they'll charge you up tonight. Tension comes after Division in the OOA too, so we can't even game the system to our advantage Wait. So everyone has 2 base stormlight regardless of if they started with a Blade, but only players with Blades get more on N3x's?
  11. Moving this edit to a new post since Archer essentially ninja'd it. @Araris Valerian what do you think about the possibility of a Shallash!Stick, Ishar!Insanity, Bladeless!Chantara, and Bladeless!Silho team and/or Bladeless!Turtle team? Given those circumstances, I could see Insanity needing to put in the kill order because @Ookla the Debonair and/or @ookla the POKE VOTE weren't around to put the kill in. Silho was on ~49 minutes ago and due to his timezone, might've decided not to put the kill in too early in the Night or decided to use another action from a claimed blade. Silho has been utterly quiet the last 25 hours and they might've been discouraged after losing Chantara too. I am, yeah. It's a part of why I'm not voting for them already. That said, what do you think about the proposed team above?
  12. On that note, I did ask in my GM PM if I've been gaining Stormlight since losing the Blade. Apparently, I still have 1 (leftover from Xino starting with Kalak and using it N1). I don't get how it works lore-wise, but I suppose it's just a game mechanic thing. Does anyone who started with no blade but received one know if you get 2 charges with it, regardless of the night? I'm kinda at the point where I think e!Insanity is as good as confirmed for these reasons. I just wish I had more than low-active + optimal bus votes + Ishar's blade to go off of. The question is basically do we risk voting wrong today and maybe Araris shooting Insanity tonight? If either Tani is elim or another elim got Paliah's blade, that could mean us losing, yeah?
  13. Whaaat. Okay yeah that's pretty crazy then. I figured it'd work more like in canon where spheres leak over time and can only hold so much. Ooo true, which potentially means Tani wouldn't have killed JNV unless they're the only active elim (Tani/Turtle?). We can probably assume whoever got Paliah used Progression too. ED1T: Turtle (Inactive) Araris (RB'd Silho) Silho (RB'd by Araris) Aman (Bladeless) Infinite (Ishar but claims no action; if evil, would have used Tension) Archer (No known blade / claimed action) Tani (Vedel claiming Protection) Elkanah (No known blade / claimed action) Ruling myself out, I'm still at the same PoE of <Tani, Elkanah, Infinite> which kinda doesn't help me. @Elkanah instead of voting yourself, who do you think JNV's killer is?
  14. Emphasis mine. I've been wondering about that myself. The theory I had was losing the blade played a part in him going inactive, or maybe that he figured the blade was better in the confirmed village Shaman's hands given his level of activity. Can't say for certain, as the only thing Ash could tell me was his N1 action. I've also wondered why he chose to RB Elkanah, of which I have no clue. ED1T: @Araris Valerian Re: "e!Insanity would have used Ishar’s blade." I can see that, but Stormlight charges cap at 2, right? If so, it's possible their teammates didn't run out yet so they put in the kill to maximize the Tension benefits + have an extra charge in case they needed to Soothe a vote today. Otherwise yeah. JNV's murderer would need to be me, Elkanah, e!Tani, or e!Archer.
  15. NGL, I kinda wish I knew you had Ishar's blade last night so I could have asked you to use Tension on Araris to prove you weren't putting in the kill order
  16. Yeah, fair. My bad if that had an impact. I've lost my attempts to write this post twice, but lemme try again. IMO Turtle is off the table for me. I really liked their D4 interactions with Tani (questioning her village read of him). Felt like it came from a villager mindset. Granted, this was right after Stick died and maybe he felt a need to go into thread control mode without her, but another point in their favor is the inactivity thing. Considering he started roleless and received Stick's blade, I'd expect Turtle to become more active, not less. Even Tani's newer posts read very pure to me, but with Araris being Chana and there only being a ~0.01% of him being a mad busser this game, I could see the distro argument for the elims starting with Vedel's blade. I hate voting people only because of their roles tho (my first ever Shard game Lifeless Commander here, still never forgave Wilson for that :P) so I'm going to ISO them at some point today to see if anything rings my alarm bells. The only thing I know about @InfiniteInsanity is that they're a low-active poster and they started with Ishar's blade, according to Araris. I do think Ishar's blade makes sense with elims, but again, role-voting is gross. They fit neatly in the Chana bus window being the 5th or 6th vote, though. Infinite? Insanity? Idk what to call you. What actions have you used so far in this game? Silho was blocked and thus wasn't JNV's killer. Jury's still out if they're a 4th/5th elim, but I'm not super interested in going that route atm. I need to think about Elk. I can't exactly remember why I felt good about them entering the game (might've been the Stick interactions?). Current posts do feel similarly pure to Tani tho. At this point, I might have to read the whole game again. All in all, my PoE today is something like <Tani, Infinite, Elk>. I feel confident saying there are 2 elims among them + Silho. I suppose I could be wrong about Turtle, or more wrong about Archer/Araris, but I'm not interested in going after an inactive or getting distracted by paranoia. If there's a 3rd left, we'll probably need to deal with a deep wolf later.
  17. Ah, that makes a lot of sense I hadn't thought about elims waiting until people were out of stormlight before going after high-value targets. Also fair enough on the C1 protect, I'm not up to date on current NK meta. Hm. Seems possible if they do have Kalak, they didn't RB to have a charge for a vote manip today + to waste village stormlight.
  18. If they didn't RB you, then I wonder if Turtle ended up with Kalak's blade too or if maybe Tani was RB'd. @Ookla the Implosion did your action last night return as successful?
  19. Just woke up. Need coffee. Bear with me. I hadn't initially thought it could be an issue until you were cagey, hence my asking if you worried it could influence elim actions, and dropped it from there. Personally, I generally think night discussions are a boon, not a curse, for the village (having played many games where there's no posting allowed on MU, which is pain), and usually make it my mission to get people talking always. That and I was more focused on trying to solve the game myself, as something as simple as seeing who answered and who didn't, not to mention what people I have no/low reads on answered, could help me feel others out. I'd also hoped that by using the night to solve myself + encourage discussion would potentially draw the elim kill to myself. TBH tho, JNV was probably a foregone conclusion, given how things shaped up with Chantara. Whether or not they were "popularly cleared" I think the chance of voting them out had already sailed and considering I worked out they had Jezrien's blade yesterday, I'm certain the elims knew for a while and wanted the target Seeker gone either way. I don't think me asking for tiers had an impact on that at all, especially since most people had JNV in the neutral range (ED1T: or I guess technically half, which is only a quarter of players, since only Elk, Araris, and Tani responded :P) The only thing Xino did was roleblock Elkanah N1. Given Turtle's currently inactive, is this really the vote you want to start with? At the very least we know they didn't submit JNV's kill order. ED2T: More thoughts pending when I'm properly caffeinated.
  20. Good shout. I hadn't considered the possibility of them lying to keep the elims from knowing. Jumped straight into attack mode xD Hesitant why? I'm worried you'll die tonight. Or do you just mean to post it closer to rollover as to not influence the elims? @JNV Oi! You a tattler, m8? /jnv Yeah, that checks out. Whether I missed out on Alv outright claiming or there being enough context for the elims to work it out. What're your thoughts on Silho, given he voted both Stick and Chana 2nd / before the Illumination reveal? I'm leaning V myself because it's kinda insane or extremely unlucky, if he only meant to distance and not get his teammates killed. Would take a ton of risk appetite and chutzpah imo. Also do you think v!JNV = v!Turtle? Did you have any reason for suspecting Turtle other than defending JNV from an early exe?
  21. Ah okay. No potential leads there, then. Secrets and Nightblood sound fun tho Could everyone who sees this post make a tier list, in a similar format to the one quoted above? Preferably with no sheeping i.e. considering each slot from your perspective. ED1T: I now know that Stormlight refreshes on N3. Why didn't you use Progression on C4? Smaller pool of targets means it would have been more likely to work than a C1 self-protect, for example.
