Yeah, I had completely missed that. I thought Lopen was just getting one of the headquarters wrong. Didn't remember any post about maximizing point efficiency. No, I just wanted to know my own Banker since I'm making myself a spokesperson for the Evanescents. As I've told one of my subordinates in a PM, we need to work together if we want to win this (no village has ever won (as far as I am aware) because of one individual). I like this plan, and will give it my support. However it's also important that I remain in a zone all by myself. So maybe we can annex one of the less useful buildings with an accompanying action? Ah, yes. Dunno how I missed him.

Ahh, so that's where the confusion was born from, then. As it stands, these are the locations of everybody that's still alive. Streets (5): Kipper, PK, Dowanx, Shallan, Elbereth Government Building (5): Rae, Meta, SDragon, Danosaur, Elodin Warehouse (4): Clanky, Spaghetti, Sart, PK City Hall (2): Strawman, Kynedath Pub (2) Lopen, STINK Pool (1): Aman Laboratory (?): ??? Ferry (?): ??? Players unaccounted for (2): Mark IV, Alvron. Where are you two, currently?

To point out for the second time that I'm right about this I'm going to quote Mailliw's first post in the sign ups, since this apparently keeps becoming an issue. Emphasis mine. Where is Government Building in any of those? Now you're twisting my words I never said you wanting gangs to work together was inherently bad for the villagers. I said that having us pile up in our headquarters was (at it gives the eliminators an easier way to hide / more options for who they kill). And in my opinion there's a big difference between initiating an idea that is just plain bad versus not initiating an idea that could make the game unfun for some players. It was very obviously between two players. I figured if I bluffed I knew their identity already it would encourage them not bother hiding from me and send me a message. They ended up doing so and now we have plans in the works to try and maximize their roles efficiency. Also, @Clanky: My Banker is dead. I am aware of a third Drunk player who has not yet claimed, who went to the City Hall, stole points from my Faction, then spent them to find a member of their faction (which happened to be the same one they stole from >.>). My intent was to make the GAs think I'm the Banker and to get the Banker to PM me to find out how I knew someone stole from them, but that didn't work out. I still have not received word about the second half of my faction, of which Silverblade belonged to, so if you're one of the relevant parties with that information I would appreciate it if you filled in the gap >.>

I'm just waiting on my second Captain to inform my first who his subordinates are so that he can pass that information to me. Also, people we really need more discussion and votes . We know for a fact that among the players at the Government Building last turn (Master_Elodin, Elbereth, Arraenae, Lopen, Meta, SilverDragon, Danosaur and Kipper) at least one is evil. We should all do some deep consideration regarding this list and point out anything they might have done so far that seems suspicious. Edit: Meta. Wonko. I just realized I missed a PM from earlier and apparently someone managed to steal points from my bank. That means it was either Shallan, Wonko or Elkanah. So which one of you was it? (I'm only voting for Wonko to add pressure on him, and partly because I agree with Rae's assessment of him, as much as I loathe to admit that)

Says the guy who PMs me almost every game Edit: Since phattemer turned out to be the Commander of the Blood Tyrants, I might as well tell everyone that I am in charge of the Evanescents (role wise, not literally). I don't see much harm in revealing this since the City Watch Commander has likely figured this out already and began spreading that knowledge through this ranks. This is a request for all Evanescents to send me a PM if they have not yet already. Otherwise I would appreciate it if you guys kept your identities a secret from the others for now. I am willing to be a spokesperson for my faction, and am also keen to communicate with other Faction spokespeople. Edit2: Vote Tally (2) Strawman: Elodin, Lopen (1) Wonko: Rae (1) Meta: Aman Mostly I'm voting for you, Meta, because of your reduced activity last turn. During the night phase I expressed (and explained to Rae) the cause of my suspicions towards you. I've now taken note of the fact that you were both a part of the group of players who had the opportunity to kill SilverBlade and that you were the one who proposed people choose their faction HQ as their location but you yourself went to a neutral location instead. I can't help but wonder why that was and what's going on in your head right now.

No. We need to focus on finding eliminators, not killing village faction members. However, @EvanescentSnitch: I would appreciate a PM from you, if you're willing. I already know who you are but I've used my one PM this turn on my faction's captain. I have more to comment on but my time is short.

Just based off their interaction. I mean, it's more likely that both are innocent, but if I had to choose Meta would be the evil one for proposing a plan that benefited the faction aspect of this game over the elimination / would make the eliminator a job easier / denounced a player with a plan that would really maximize the efficiency of the village without mentioning the moral aspect of it. Oh I'm also a bit suspicious of you, Rae. Just thought I'd let you know (besides my role and faction I'm 100% an open book)

Hmm. So Elkanah, Shallan and Wonko went to the city watch. Stink is most likely a villager and either Lopen or Meta are a GA; most likely Meta. I have a few more suspicions but I will not mention them as it may reveal my faction and I'd rather keep that a secret for now.

Thought so. Therefore no one should be on the Ferry unless they specifically asked to be (I considered using the ferry every single cycle to keep track of people's movements and enact some changes) but figured it'd be better to choose a neutral location where I'm not in danger and enact my plans from there. It should be pretty obvious then that Lopen and Meta are a part of the City Watch but it's possible they are just pretending to be. Since the other two factions outed their potential members I would appreciate it if one of you or anyone else in the City Hall and Government Building announce their groups because I'm pretty sure I can piece together the identities of some GAs if you do (or at least set me on the right path)

Streets: Dowanx, Honor Spren, Sart Pool: Amanuensis Warehouse: Clanky, Paranoid King, Burnt Spaghetti Pub: IrulelikeSTINK Labratory: ThatTinyStrawMan, Mark IV, Kynedath, Government Building: Unknown City Hall Unknown Ferry: Unknown Unaccounted for: Shallan, Wonko, Meta, Elkanah, Elbereth, Lopen, Silverblade, Silverdragon, Arraenae, Elodin, Danosaur, Kipper Most likely one of the players on the streets will die, and I wlso have a theory that one of them is a GA. Also my gut is telling me that at least one of the Silvers is a GA (leaning towards Blade) but since he is new I'll give him slack for now. You two should just be aware that I'm watching you. Edit: Also, I'm pretty sure that the GA will either have 0 Epics this entire game or have one in each gang. Otherwise there would be a big issue with faction balance. I'm thinking the first will be true for now. Also if I were you guys I would not discount the possibility of neutral roles.

No benefits that I'm aware of. I suspect there will end up being an Epic whose ability or weakness has something to do with the location. That's possible, but I think it would be a bold move after Clanky and I mentioned the plan for Commanders / Captains to find out everyone in their gang at the start of the next cycle. I didn't include the Pool in my list because I went there myself and already announced there's no one here. Also, the City Hall is the HQ of the Pearl District Neighborhood Watch. The Government Building is indeed neutral (see first post, third paragraph of the sign ups). I haven't got confirmation for this yet, but @GMs, did we all technically start off in our HQ, so if I were a Blood Tyrant who decided to go to the City Hall last turn, would I have to cross the river and therefore be on the Ferry right now? Or did you allow us to choose wherever we want to begin? Strategically, I like your plan because it makes the eliminators job much harder. Morally, I don't like your plan because it has the potential to ruin the fun of the eliminators (if every location has four people and no one is on the streets, every kill they make would have a very big chance of revealing one of them) and takes away the freedom of choice from players. Ultimately I support the idea that people should go where they want to go. So I vote No. Lopen's Plan Tally (1) Yes: Lopen (1) No: Aman

Well, I have one point and am at the Pool all by myself. Just thought you should all know that. While personally I would like to know everyone's current location, I'm not going to ask anyone to divulge whose at which headquarters, since we all know Lopen stayed at his faction's base. Just in case he's in mine I would rather not have that information out in the open. However, I think it would be wise for people to announce whose in the neutral zones (the Pub, Government Building and Ferry). I'm especially interested in who is at the Ferry. Starting next cycle I think we should all announce who is where immediately at the start of the night phase so that we can do some preemptive thinking. If you're a villager, I suggest you don't come to the Pool ever. If you're an eliminator feel free so I can out you. I intend on chilling by the pool for the entire duration of this game. At the moment, I'm suspicious of basically everyone who voted for Lopen and phattemer (and both of them by extension). I will wait until the next turn to see phattemer's role / alignment before I pursue any one theory, however.

(1) Stink: Rae (2) Lopen: Meta, Strawman (1) Shallan: phattemer (1) phattemer: Shallan So this is where the votes are cast so far. As it stands Lopen is going to be lynched. My gut tells me he's good and that's a mistake, but I am not sure if I want to intervene. Oh, huh. So tied votes still result in a death. Will probably stay out of it for sure, then. If someone has to die I would rather it not be determined by chance, and I simply don't feel strong enough about anyone to take part in killing them. Also, I asked the GMs if the Ferry qualifies as a location (among other things regarding it) and thought that you should all be aware of that.

Eh, upon further consideration using the player list might be wise, as it would have a pretty drastic impact on the GAs. By that I mean, if they go along with it then they'll not be able to be as tactical with their kills as they would like. If they decide to do their own thing then it'll look bad on them. A win-win, really. Unfortunately my conscience is nagging me about how unpleasant this plan would feel for the GAs. At the moment I'm not sure what's more important; finding and lynching them, or not ruining their fun. Leaning towards the second (sparking morality). On top of that, I do believe that things like this should be up to each individual player to decide. There's plenty of good reasons why players might want to go to a certain location, and given that a relatively big aspect of this game is the different rewards at certain locations, I feel like people should be able to take advantage of it as they please. It's a bit late in this cycle for us to successfully decide on one plan or another as its doubtful everyone will get on before change over and agree. Probably for the best, though I think this next turn we all should vote on how we're going to handle this location business.

I'm on the side that we do not attempt to determine who is in our faction by all "agreeing" to go to our headquarters this turn. When this plan was first suggested I immediately put in orders to go to the headquarters of the faction I'm against so that I could find out what players I need to lynch for victory, with the intent to disseminate that information via a PM with one of my subordinates. I have since changed my mind and decided to advocate that we do not follow through with Meta's suggestion for the following reasons: One, because I'm afraid creating that opportunity might encourage some players to focus on the faction aspect of this game over the elimination. I am of the opinion that our priority should be finding and kill the GAs regardless of what faction they belong to because so long as they are alive they will be killing us. Two, I believe that our most effective tool for weeding out the GAs will be narrowing down suspects based off of who was in the same location as the victim, therefore it is in the best interest of the village to make sure no one place is loaded. I support Lopen's initial plan of dividing the players up evenly across them. However I don't think using the player list to determine who goes where is necessarily best. I like Clanky's idea the best so far (in regards to finding out who is in our faction). So if you're a Captain I suggest that you do not use your PM next turn until your Commander contacts you with the name of your peer, that way you can create a three way communication chain and discuss the members of your faction without risking enemy spies. As Elbereth (I believe it was her, might have been Burnt) stated earlier, the GAs are already going to have some idea of who belongs to what, so I'm not very concerned with that information getting into their hands. Finally, I'm going to announce a couple things. First, I'm a Commander. Second, I currently have my location as the Pool. GAs, consider this an invitation to come have a swim with me. Oh and for the record I have no intention of voting this cycle, except perhaps on a random player last minute to earn some points.

So how do PMs work for this game exactly? I've skimmed through the rules a few times and can't seem to find a solid answer.

Quick Fix Game 13: Winter is Coming
Amanuensis replied to Amanuensis's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Epilogue: A Taste of Glory Maximum Starkness was a Giant-Blooded Skinchanger! Joss Stilwood was a Warg! Noah Stone was burned on a pyre, but not before confessing his sins! He was a Ranger! Luna Arryn died to her wounds! Baldo Buggins was killed by a Warg! [1] Orr Locke: Oswin Snow [2] Baldo Buggins: Kipper Pyke, Noah Stone, [4] Noah Stone: To B. Congratulations to the good guys for their swift victory. Write ups for Chapter 4, 5 and the Epilogue (which will include a battle between the survivors and the Others) will come as soon as I can get them done. I will also add some commentary from my perspective as the GM around the same time. Before I end this, there is something I want to point out. Paranoid King's inability to make kills after the first were not because they were blocked, but because the rules state that the player he votes for needs to die to the lynch. Both Mailliw and Alvron were Giant-Blooded, so that didn't exactly occur. However, if they did succeed, you guys would have won awhile ago, since his targets were Anamax and Jerle respectively. So yeah; pro tip future GMs, never give PK a village kill role unless you can find a way to balance it.- 311 replies

Kipper's Fatal Wound was retracted again (cursed mod queue) and there's 15 minutes left until the chapter closes.- 311 replies
