  1. Whoever decided I was a threat is clearly in need of a psychiatric evaluation. Regardless, I don't see that as a valid excuse. When backed in to a corner it's natural that any eliminator would say anything to weasel their way out of it. Words are just wind. I'll believe evidence, and until I see that I'll believe logic. If you're so confident you'll get searched by the Corrupt, I see no reason why you should be keeping it a secret. In a game with items I think it's much more important that we not hide what we have and where we use it after the fact. It is the best way for the village to track anything shady the Corrupt might be doing, and most of the items are barely useful unless coordinated. That's why I mentioned it's often nothing, but I still find it odd and figured it was worth mentioning. That's not even my primary worry with Adamir. It's mainly that the ledger business just seems way too convenient, as if he were Corrupt and aware of the fact that Alvron is inno and wants to gain some trust / make it look like Ripple is Corrupt so that we might think there's less of them then there actually are. And before anyone says it, yes, I'm most likely just paranoid, but with little else to go on either of these two are our best leads. Fair point. I didn't see boxings counting as items in the rules post but now see it in the clarifications. When I reread the first post I was under the impression that everyone began with a non-currency item. Just to make sure, @Joe, are there players who only started with boxings?
  2. So you not only didn't post on the first turn, but decided to use your ledger on another player who did not post instead of someone active, which would benefit us much more? I don't buy it. If it's true that you used your ledger on Ripple than Alvron should have received her starting item, as every single player would have began with one. The only way that he would have got only a Dagger and a Ledger if she was active enough to use her item, which I find unlikely. Maybe we should start asking people who passed an item and who received them. Another thing to note. If you used the ledger on Ripple it would have come up as Corrupt Senator, not "conspirator." In fact, the only time the word conspirator has been used by Joe is in this here quote: Conspirator seems like an oddly specific word to use, considering this situation. Perhaps your doc title has conspirator in its title like the PM suggests? I don't know, but that's the impression I'm getting. People have been wrong about this kinda thing before. I just don't buy the "not going to post but use my ledger on a player who also never posted who also just happens to be the only person who dies the same turn." I don't believe in coincidences like this. Also, when a player is arrested their items are confiscated by the Constables to be purchased later, not given out randomly to the voters. So that point is moot.
  3. The only valid point, in my opinion, is the business with the items. I can understand that. But what I find hard to believe is that Alvron's was the only kill and it just so happened that the item Ripple had was a Ledger. It feels fabricated to me, as if Alvron made it up to support his point and is trying to avoid being arrested. The best lies for eliminators are the believable ones, the kind that can be sympathized with. He did the exact same thing in QF13 when Sart outed him as Strawman's killer. He lied about his role, claiming to be a healer, so that he would not be lynched. I get the distinct impression that he's doing the same thing; telling us exactly what we want to hear so we will leave him be.
  4. What happened was a lone player decided to use their Dagger to kill a player who has not posted without consulting the thread first. As a result we learn nothing save for that individual's mindset. What should have happened is that he ask the thread what people think villagers with Daggers should do with them, perhaps even proposing the plan to kill inactives and even suggest Ripple himself to see who would go along with the plan and who would oppose it. If that happened and Ripple was a villager, it would be more likely that a Corrupt might agree with her death. If Ripple was Corrupt than they might reveal themselves by suggesting she not be killed. If we then decided as a group to hold off on killing Ripple and instead arrest inactives, we would then see her alignment and be able to use that as evidence against a player who either voted she be killed or be spared. THIS is my inherent issue with the situation / with killing inactives instead of arresting them, period. This and the fact that most likely a player is going to be arrested every cycle anyway. Adding an uneducated kill into the mix only dwindles our numbers faster (assuming that the killer and victim are both innocent). Discussion is the most important thing for the village. It should always be instigated and never avoided. Discussion is what gives us insight, and without it we are doomed.
  5. Because that's information, which villagers need in order to win and eliminators want to reduce to make their victory easier. Either way, that is not the primary issue. It's the fact that this is a QF with 24 hour cycles, which is an extremely unrealistic amount of time to classify a player as inactive let alone kill them for it. As well as the fact that killing inactives is only sometimes important in the mid-late game stages.
  6. So they spent their own gold (which is valuable and could have been saved for a critical situation) to give another player more gold? A player that at that point in time could be corrupt for all they know? I don't understand the motivation, especially when you had the opportunity to change your vote yourself when the bandwagon had already formed.
  7. Why would a villager move a vote from Ripple (who only had two) to Strawman (who was at 10) unless they knew Ripple was going to be the target of a kill? Unless that person who PM'd you was also Alvron, it makes no sense for a villager (who should have little to no information so far) would spend their currency to get involved in something that they had no business getting with.
  8. Alvron. Removing inactives on Day 1 is, in my opinion, ridiculously unfair and impractical. Victory is the goal of this game, not punishment, and last I checked the Senator win condition is to kill or arrest all Corrupt Senators, not inactives. Like it or not, inactives do serve a purpose to the village by acting as a buffer. Personally I don't believe Alv's story for a second. I would bet all my boxings that he was the most high profile eliminator on his team, so during discussion they decided he would likely be scanned early on so they should use him as a kill patsy while citing targeting inactives as an excuse to make kills and keep getting their dagger back. He very likely did not start with the dagger either and has some third item (if the ledger story is even true, which I doubt). Personally I can't see any reason why the Corrupt would not start with a dagger, not use it immediately, not do it in a way that they could get it back for more kills, nor why a villager would use their kill action already. More evidence is the fact that Mailliw voted for Ripple but someone spent a boxing to move it to Strawman. I suspect the Corrupt didn't want to risk it getting into any other players hands so they bribed him to move it. Now, that by no means clears Mailliw, I am highly suspicious of him for agreeing with Alv and voting DC for Governor before. I also have a theory that, based on the timing in the bandwagon, DC is also Corrupt as he was the one to break the tie in favor of Strawman while Mailliw attempted to instigate another with ripple to scare players like Mark into widening the gap so they might look less suspicious. I also would not be surprised if Kynedath is Corrupt as well, since he was the first one to vote for Strawman when he added the second vote to DC (teammates much?). So yeah, right now I think the Corrupt are Alvron, D.C., Mailliw and Kynedath. I would bet everything in my possession on Alvron at least, but I'm pretty confident at least one of those four are evil.
  9. I'm going to go ahead and leave my feruchemic ability alone for now and focus on becoming a Savant instead. That being said, I have zero intention to leave the starting zone. If you have Allomantic Tin, feel free to proceed with whatever plans you had before I asked you to follow me into isolation. Though once I'm a Savant I would appreciate it if we acted upon this plan, just in case people have a reason to suspect me, in order to cast any doubts about my alignment out of people's minds. Maybe by then someone else will have confirmed my alignment already. Either way, I would like to here people's thoughts on whether or not we should be secretive about our locations or not.
  10. The way I see it is villagers should have no reason to lie. If they're honest about where they go and we all work together, we should be able to predict the actions of the Spiked and manage our resources in counter. But as always this is a team game and everything I bring up should be discussed by the masses and debated upon in order for us to decide what's the best course of action, and in my opinion seeing everyone's stances on strategies is just as telling, if not more than, lynches are.
  11. What happened to public knowledge always benefiting the village more? And in my opinion village protective roles will be infinitely more effective if they know who is going where as well. If we know where high priority players are we are more likely going to block a Spiked kill than otherwise. To me this sounds more like you're afraid of you or your teammates being found out. Problem with staying in the starting room is that the Spiked are most likely going to attack someone there than any where else, therefore I would rather not put myself at risk. That being said, I have a second strategy regarding my allomantic ability I've thought of that could benefit the village a lot more, which I'm also okay with revealing, which basically amounts to me using my metal for all of my night actions until I'm a Savant. Thoughts?
  12. Two things: First, Identity = Aluminum, Connection = Durulumin. Second, you're right that telling the truth about my Feruchemical ability doesn't mean I'm not an eliminator, but when I tap the metalmind it will reveal my alignment to the Tin Eye. That's the point of me conceiving this plan.
  13. It can also prevent a player from voting, since they can't post in the thread. Only situation it seems ideal is if we find out someone is Corrupt ahead of time, drug them and then arrest them that next turn so that they cannot say anything to their docmates. That being said, can an arrested Corrupt Senator still communicate in the evil doc? I don't remember seeing that in the rules.
  14. Okay, perfect. So if there's someone Allomantic Tin, come with me to B3. Everyone else stay out. Once you trust me we can start talking about setting up a system to keep you protected as you roam from room to room to see whose where and catch them in any lies when it comes to making kills.
  15. As if I would vote for anyone else but myself, Biorney Sanderson. I don't trust any of you yet, and can not even fathom why somebody else would feel comfortable voting in favor of another. Anyway, Dyson Trump. If wealth is the reason you got a seat on the Senate you're just bound to be corrupt.
  16. No PMs for me either. I have some other comments I want to make but I'll save them for after I take my shower. EDIT: Alright, so about those comments. @GMs: If a Spiked, a villager and I are the only ones in a room and the Spiked puts in the command "[2] Attack a villager who is NOT Aman" would that guarantee they kill the other villager? Or will you not accept orders like that? @All: I think it's essential that we try to evenly split players up across the rooms. The less people we have in a single room the easier it will be catch Spiked when we make a kill. Obviously this isn't like MR12 where we all get told whose in a room with us, but with a roving Tineye we should be able to eventually catch players in lies. To supplement this I think we need to make public what room we intend to go to / or are in at the start of every turn. Sure, it allows the Spiked to know where we are (making it easier for them to select their targets) but it also gives us information that can dramatically help us narrow down their identities. If it turns out the Spiked can ruin my Tineye confirmation plan than I suggest we go with the one plan Lopen suggested in MR12 where we base the location players go to on their assigned player list number. Reason I'm okay with it this game as opposed to MR12 is there is nothing special about each individual room, except for the item searching which as far as we are aware are all currently the same. Also because we do not get told by the GMs every turn whose in a location with us the Spiked can easily lie about it to avoid suspicion. That being said, it will also look very suspicious if, let's say, Meta, Gamma, Wilson and myself are all meant to go to B3 and Meta then dies in that room, so Gamma claims that he decided to go to C2 instead, leaving Wilson and I as the only suspects. While it's possible a villager would do that, I can't understand a reason why they would, besides maybe to narrow down the true suspect. At the same time it'd be more likely that a Spiked would just say that to not get lynched. But yeah. Thoughts?
  17. Allomantic? No. Feruchemic? Sure. I can fill and tap Identity, and here is my plan.[1] Move to B3 [2] Fill Aluminum [3] Sleep I suggest a Tin Eye uses their first action to move with me to B3 (and no one else) then scans the room. They will see an unknown player and thus be able to confirm I have the feruchemical ability that I claim. If a Spiked follows me to the room (and no one else comes) then my death will not be in vain as the Tin Eye can out their name and get them lynched. If no one follows than next night turn I can tap Identity so that when the Tin Eye uses their power again I'll be confirmed good (so that's one less person y'all need to worry about lynching) and meanwhile the Seekers can scan other players with hopes of actually finding the Spiked. This plan is ideal for protecting the Tin Eye and me, getting us at least one confirmed villager / maybe spiked, and allows us to optimize the use of Seekers and Lurchers (among other roles I'm sure). Thoughts?
