Important Game Information Hit Points (HP): Each Known Pokemon will begin the game with 5 HP. Unknown Pokemon may have the same, more or less HP. When a Pokemon's HP reaches 0, it is defeated and it's player will die. Strength (STR): Each Known Pokemon will have 1 STR. Unknown Pokemon may have the same, more or less STR. STR determines the amount of damage a Pokemon deals. If a Pokemon's attack is Not Very Effective it will deal damage equal to the Pokemon's STR. If it is Super Effectice it will deal damage equal to the Pokemon's STR x5. Power Points (PP): Each Known Pokemon will have 20 PP. Unknown Pokemon may have the same, more or less PP. Each time a Pokemon uses a move, it will use 1 point of PP. When a Pokemon's PP reaches 0, it will be unable to take any more actions. Player List Master Elodin as Bulbasaur Metacognition as TBD Conquestor as Lorien Ecthellion III as IDK RippleGylf as Myself? Maybe next time. Questions and Clarifications Q: Can I choose my starting Pokemon? A: No; like all elimination games, roles (Pokemon) are assigned randomly. Q: What happens in the case of a three-way-tie or greater? A: A relevant die will be rolled to determine who is lynched. Q: Are we going to learn the name / type of unknown pokemon as they're are added or is it a surprise? A: The Unknown Pokemon will remain Unknown. They will have to be figured out via game interactions. Q: Are there items? Can Pokemon evolve, or become stronger / more resistant? A: No; this is the very first beta test, designed to only cover the basics. Items and evolutions may be present in future beta tests, however. Q: Are there eliminators? If not, who do you lynch? A: Yes; everyone gets a kill role and need to be the last one alive to win, so by default everyone is an eliminator. As for who you lynch, that will be for the players to decide. Q: Is what the white text says true? A: Not necessarily; there is no guarantee if anything said in white text is true or false. Countdown

Long Game 24: The Godless City
Amanuensis replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Atop the once gleaming walls of Elantris, a man with skin the color of mahogany and long, flowing locks of snow-white hair wept openly into the sleeve of his billowy robe, its golden sheen hardly radiant in the pallid moonlight. "Aona! Aona! Wherefore art thou, Aona!" he yelled between the sobs that wracked his chest, throat raw and voice cracking with strain. An echo resounded back, reminding him of the poor reflection of his former self he had become. A Vessel he may be, but ever since the day she left him, he was surely an empty one. Even before he held Honor, Tanavast was an honorable man. His honor then was a gentle thing, not yet twisted by Sorrow and Hatred. He was never much of a fighter, though he thought himself as chivalrous as a knight. The kind of man who would hold a door for a stranger and expect nothing in return, or buy a beggar a drink and offer his ear to hear his woes. For anything more he was often too shy to act; at least until he met Aona. It was love at first sight. From the moment he laid his eyes on her, he knew she was the woman he had been waiting for his whole life. At that very moment he made a promise to himself: to do anything and everything for her. Whatever it took to make her his. Though his hasty introduction was undoubtedly awkward, she said she thought him cute, and by the grin on her face, he thought it true. That he might truly have a chance. After an era of reflection, he knew now that she never saw him as a someone she could love, but someone she could use. And use him she did. Adonalsium. Tanavast never wanted any part in that plot, but Aona had him wrapped so tight around her little finger, his mind could not even summon the word no in her presence. And so he committed the ultimate crime: deicide. And how did she repay him? By abandoning him and running away with that dastardly rogue Skai. If he wasn’t such a coward, he would have thrown himself into a chasm right then. Not that Senna would have let him, anyway. Before the Shattering, Leras’ sister never paid him any mind, but once she took up Cultivation that all changed. She could feel his pain, and by god's grace, she became determined to heal him. His power changed him, too. While she became obsessed with mending the broken, he became obsessed with keeping oaths. Somewhere along the line she ended up falling for him, though he could not reciprocate those feelings. He was much too focused on that first promise he made, now so long ago. He would do anything and everything for Aona. Whatever it took to make her his. He already helped her kill god. What was one more casualty in a war for love? Only he knew he was not strong enough to face Skai alone. And if Aona ever caught wind of his part in his death, she would certainly never forgive him. And so he made a deal with that devil, Rayse. It was a simple plan. Let Rayse kill Skai, and then just before he could kill her, too, Tanavast would swoop in to save her, like a knight in shining armor, and win her love. Only Rayse didn’t hold back. Not like he promised. So foolish he was to trust such an inherently evil man to keep his word; let alone one who bore god’s Hatred. He tried to fight him then, but despite the storm raging inside him, he could not defeat him there. And so he fled, clutching a wound at his side that was too big for his hands to close, all the way back to Roshar, to Senna’s embrace, and collapsed. She healed him then - one last time - before she left him too. He was never very good at keeping secrets from her, what with her ability to tell the future so strong. It was a miracle he had kept his plans a secret from her for so long. That battle had not ended with Rayse unscathed, either. Until then, that man thought himself untouchable. Seething with anger, he searched the Cosmere for Tanavast, destroying everything that dared get in his way. But when he finally found him on Roshar, he did not expect him to be so brave or strong. How ironic it was that Rayse’s betrayal would transform Tanavast into the one man capable of defeating him. Tanavast could have killed him then, though death was too good a fate for a man like Rayse. Instead he bound him to Braize - a jagged, molten world - and made sure the pain he felt was inflicted on that demon ten-fold. It took him a long time to be satisfied, but once he was, he left for Sel again, his Heralds and their Knights Radiant left to rule in his stead. Stepping out of Sel's Perpendicularity, he could have sworn he heard Aona's voice. But no, that couldn't have been her. She was dead. Shattered, just as Adonalisum was shattered so many lifetimes ago. Tanavast had only one hope left: to gather the pieces Rayse left of Aona in the world, and with his power put them all back together. Maybe then, with the power that her soul had been devoted to for so long restored, she would be too. It was a faint hope, but it was also the only hope he had left. Tanavast. Once, he was proud of that name, but after everything that's happened, the name tasted vile. If he wanted to redeem himself, he knew he'd have to take on a new name, a new persona, like Midius the Meddlesome. But what? Honor's Vessel thought long and hard, his once shuddering breath now steady with concentration. Honor... or in the local language, Mai. Now that he thought about it, he could pass as a Korathi Priest. He was devoted enough to Aona, after all, though he would have to get used to calling her Domi. Father Mai. It could work. It even had a kind of ring to it, albeit an ironic one. A frigid wind blew, prompting Father Mai to rise. It was late, and though he didn't really need sleep, he was mentally and emotionally exhausted. If he were going to play the part of a normal mortal, it would do him good to take on the routine of one. And so he descended along a path down the eastern wall, straight into the heart of the city of Kae, until he happened upon a monochrome inn, oddly devoid of color, and purchased himself a room.- 1559 replies

It's not against the rules, I don't think. Normally they get posted along with the final write-up, but Gamma said he'd do it later when he had more time. I know I, and many players, really enjoy reading the docs after a game ends, so I figured getting them out here sooner rather than later would be nice.

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Apparently Mek had told the Spectators he put at least a single member from each faction on the Senate (or at least that he planned to). I was pretty thoroughly convinced he did as well, especially after you were revealed a Duelist. The only real problem was I was getting villager vibes from Elbereth the entire time, and apparently for good reason. That and I still think it's weird for an eliminator to protect a villager; or at least, in this particular situation. You guys had (basically) already lost your Gyorn, and aside from yourself, your teammates were borderline inactive anyway. But to each their own. I actually didn't expect for any more than a single Derethi to be among the people who didn't post that night. I knew that the missing kill was because of Emily, so my plan was to narrow down that list until she could get scanned and hopefully give me a chance of receiving the results, while simultaneously killing off a few more villagers so there would be less votes for me to worry about. Ahah yeah. I was getting a bit nervous about you being in that doc, if I'm honest. I was thinking about killing you N4 for a while, but the main thing staying my hand was that this was your first game in a while and that you weren't being as much of an open thorn in my side like Ecth was that night. Either way, thanks . Mailliw was really the only player I really believed was evil, though I did have my doubts, hence why I decided to push for him to be lynched rather than scanned over Seonid. Seonid was just an unfortunate bystander really. As for Sart... eh, not really a fun catch, that one. If Elbereth wasn't the last Derethi I was pretty certain at that point it was either him or Kipper, but only due to the sudden return from activity to see me recalled. There's not really any challenge in a catch like that. I'd much rather have a close game where all the eliminators are active than a landslide victory like this one (aside from Orlok there at the end, there were only, what? 2 village casualties?). I'm actually surprised no one pointed out how on D1 I was trying to shift the lynch towards Elodin. It was pretty heartbreaking for me when you ended up posting on LG23 an hour or two after you died. Felt so guilty .- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I just realized the irony of a Jeskeri Mysteries Cultist being announced the Savior of Duladel; matches the narrative this game is based on quite well. Also, that Duladel and Luthadel both end with del. I wonder if there's a reason for that.- 727 replies

Here's the link to the dead doc, in case anyone who doesn't have it wants it. @Sart / @Seonid / @RubiksCube / @Master Elodin, could one of you post the link to your doc? Same question for @Haelbarde / @Aonar Faileas / @jaimeleecee / @The Only Joe regarding yours. I'm bored and wouldn't mind reading through them now.

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
@Conquestor: Sorry for lynching you. I really hate busing teammates, but I didn't have time that day to argue for someone else to be lynched. I was really looking forward to working with you, too. Hopefully we can be evil together again someday. @emilylime: I doubt you'll see this anytime soon, but I hope that you're alright, and that you come back again someday. @Metacognition: Sad that you died so early, but at least I can say that I avenged your murder rather thoroughly. Also, to all three of you: I know that a lot of the reason we lost can't be blamed on me, and that none of you would even consider it my fault, but I definitely think I could have played better, and I am sorry for that. @Eolhondras: I'm voting you as MVP this game, mostly because of this post right here. Was a huge surprise for me when I saw someone else figure me and my plans out so completely. There's also the fact that you blocked the most kills this game (not counting my self-protection). If either of those kills had gone through there would have been a decent chance for me to win, especially the one on Bard. As for everyone else, great game. I was particularly impressed by @Ecthelion III and @Elenion, and am very happy to see you two sighing up for more games and even making games of your own. @Alvron, is there any chance you can edit in the links to all of the docs (including the Spectator)?- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Definitely. For the record, I never really believed Mailliw's claim to begin with. I needed to get Elbereth off the Senate to win, so I was really just trying to take advantage of his claim. I also wanted to get the player who actually protected her to reveal herself so I could kill them. If only I had been able to get online sooner to prevent me from getting recalled- 727 replies

Well, technically she's isn't cleared per say. Now that I know it was actually Eol who protected her and not Mailliw, I'm of the opinion that Mailliw was just trying to get a villager killed by tying himself to her.- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution

Straw. I've got the order in to kill Sart now. Though I'll be happy if he is the last one (mostly because I think the next QF will be Stink's Pokemon game, which I reckon will be both extremely interesting and entertaining), I do recognize that it also means Emily and I will be executed. I imagine watching cute little Opalin, sun dress speckled with Sart's blood, marching herself up to the gallows with her head held high, accepting of her fate and truly at peace, for in her heart she knows that in the end she did the right thing. I can see a lone tear cascading down her cheek as she looks upon the frowing faces of her newfound friends... family, even... and yet the touch of a smile upon her lips, as though her life on Sel might be ending, a new one will be beginning with the loving embrace of Domi, her only regret being that she did not have the strength to run away home before her parents could abandon her in Duladel. EDIT: In case I die and Sart is not the last Derethi, I would recommend Lynching Ecth and Investigating Orlok. Everyone else is basically cleared villagers at this point, IMO (minus Lime, of course )- 727 replies

Long Game 24: The Godless City
Amanuensis replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
There's nothing you need to be sorry for, brother. I'm guessing what happened is that Mek copied the PM he sent to Elbereth about cloudjumper and meant to edit the whole thing, but due to being in a rush, forgot to change more than just the name. An honest mistake, and one you couldn't have helped, anyway. That being said... yes, I'll rejoin. Same character. Hopefully I'll have time to do some introductory RP before the game begins.- 1559 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
In light of that, I want to apologize to Bard (and everyone else by extension) for my reaction following Bard's post. I was perfectly fine with Orlok's vote on me, and even Straw's I had no real issue with (other than some of the wording), but when Bard posted what he did I was utterly confused. I could not fathom why a villager would lie about their role when it meant confusing the village more and inevitably driving people to kill me despite the fact that he should know my death would have absolutely no impact on him or any victory other than the Derethi's. I am sorry about jumping to the conclusion that Bard was allowing reputation bias to skew his ability to reason to insanity. It is not an excuse, but I've already been playing this game as if it were Master Ninja mode on Ninja Gaiden 2 (thanks to several oversights regarding mechanics that I was willing to chalk up to the game not being ran through extensive scenario testing), to the point where I had to take risks I really didn't want to. When I was recalled, I decided it would be better to accept defeat and offer what help I could provide rather than get upset for being put in a near impossible position from the beginning. I didn't want to accept that Mek had accidentally given me false information, mostly because of the fact that I have been strategizing around it specifically ever since, and already was very sore after being an unfair victim of the meta issue.- 727 replies

Long Game 24: The Godless City
Amanuensis replied to Jo and the Bush's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Eh, once the initial shock wears off, I might cave and rejoin. A few players are trying to convince me that leaving is unnecessary. I really don't want to stop playing these games but... it's complicated. I've been a victim of reputation bias three games in a row (where people put more weight into an exaggerated perception of me over logic and reason), and as a result, all the effort I've put into these games is rendered pointless. Some people say to think of it as a compliment, but considering the amount of time and energy I put into playing these games, it's hard not to feel anything but insulted. It's like putting the last of your money and all of your heart into cooking a meal for someone you love, only for them to refuse to eat it and dismiss you from the table entirely. I can't really say more openly without violating the rules since MR15 is still on going, but if you want context feel free to PM me.- 1559 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Seriously consider Bard's vote on me. His entire theory about not lynching Sart / Kipper right now is that the Jeskeri might win when we kill the last one. So, by that logic, shifting the lynch onto either you, Elbereth or cloudjumper is the only thing that would prevent the Jeskeri from winning. I'm already off the Senate. Killing me does absolutely nothing. Given the fact that I received a GM PM telling me that Bard is a Village Duelist, it's hard for me not to feel like he's spitting in my face right now. He knows that I didn't lie about his role, and by extension knows that his entire theory is nonsense, which is the entire reason why I'm so distraught right now.- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Technically I haven't stuck a knife in anyone. I tried to kill Bard last turn, but he fended me off... except now I am royally confused. It didn't give me any power. It stripped me of any power I had to begin with, which was non-existent after I got removed from the Senate. Pretend to be a cultist? Why would anyone pretend to be a Cultist? A Derethi, sure, but once again I was the only reason Mailliw and Seonid were killed at all. Why would I bus two of my teammates just to claim Jeskeri? That makes no sense. This entire post is serious chulldung, I can't even bring myself to comment on the sheer ridiculousness of it, for fear of getting more angry than I already am. Seriously Bard, are you kidding me right now? Why the Braize would you lie about your role to the thread when you know I'm telling the truth! I can't even begin to express how disappointed I am in you right now. I... I'm literally dumbfounded. I'm done. I am sick and tired of genuinely trying to help people and being repeatedly punished for it. One time I could deal with. Two times, I nearly took a hiatus from these games entirely. But three storming times in a row? Yeah, I'm done being doubted and my genuine efforts to help being unappreciated. I clearly don't belong in this community if this is how I'm going to be repeatedly treated. If you honestly believe Bard's post right now, what the storms does killing me even do to help? You know you're a villager, Elenion, so that means for Bard's outrageous theory to be true, Elbereth and Cloudjumper have to be Jeskeri, which means THEY would need to die right now, NOT me.- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
There was not even a danger of me being lynched in the first place, so why would I reveal myself to manipulate myself into not getting lynched? That makes no sense at all. And once again, there is no logic in killing me. Where does the villager win condition say "kill all Jeskeri." The most likely course of action for me is probably attempt to feed misinformation? Perhaps if I had a chance to win, but it's impossible at this point, and was even borderline impossible from the start. I'm not really concerned about your vote because I'm pretty sure most players will see the sense in what I'm saying. I just am very... irked... by some of your wording here, hence why I'm even bothering to respond.- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
Prevents me from manipulating you... how can I manipulate you when I admitted to being evil? If I had any chance of victory after being recalled I would have continued to lie about my alignment. I've done you all a favor by laying myself bare and giving you all of the information I have to work with. Also, I've already made this point before, albeit indirectly, but I'm not even an eliminator. I can kill a player once every other cycle, and it's not even in my win condition to kill villagers. The only relevant eliminators anymore are the Derethi, which I'm trying to help you get rid of.- 727 replies

Mid-Range Game 15: The Dula Revolution
Amanuensis replied to Mckeedee123's topic in Sanderson Elimination
I had received Bard's scan, and advocated that he was a villager. There was no way I could spin him being either Derethi or Jeskeri without claiming that I lied about his alignment when I received it. That would be me admitting to lying to the thread, which would lessen people's trust of me to the point where there was little chance I could continue to manipulate them (see LG23 where people insisted on lynching me because I lied about Orlok's alignment). I attacked Bard because I saw that he had not been online since the very start of that turn's beginning, and was hoping that since he didn't post or talk at all in the Senate doc that he forgot to put his order in. That way when he died, I could claim that I knew his role and therefore would have never attacked him. By recalling Elenion and killing Bard, that would leave only you, cloud and me left. I could then spin it that you are the last Derethi, and hopefully Emily would return in time to help me engineer a tie between electing Straw and another candidate to the Senate (I was thinking about advocating Orlok or Ecthellion). If it turned out you were the last Derethi when we lynched you next turn, then I'd win anyway (only cloud and I left). If it turned out you weren't, that'd still be one less Senate slot for me to worry about, and I could plan what to do next from there. I don't understand why ya'll should "really really kill" me. Your win condition involves keeping me off the Senate and killing the Derethi. I'm off the Senate and I'm not Derethi, so... it's really unnecessary. Lynching me right now when we have an obvious player to all elect Senator is silly. Especially when I can only make a kill once every other night, and you all can keep me accountable for it. At least killing me this turn is a very bad play. My kill is an opportunity for the village to learn trustworthy information. I can't manipulate the results of a kill. If we lynch Kipper, who could very well be Derethi, what's the loss even if he isn't? He's barely active and not really contributing. If Kipper's not Derethi and we investigate Sart, we'll either discover he's a Derethi and I can just kill him that night, or find out he's a villager and use my kill on another unconfirmed / suspicious player. Village gains from having that information, just like they would gain from a Kesegan Monk kill, except it's actually possible for me to kill an eliminator. Like I said, I think proving Eol's Duelist claim by both him and I targeting Elbereth is worth it. If she survives, that means Eol told the truth about his role (so far he's only claimed a protection that very well could have belonged to Mailliw. Since Mailliw is dead now his counter claim can't be verified, not that it would be anyway given Mailliw was evil), which would confirm he's a villager (I severely doubt the Derethi were given 2 Duelists, and if they were given a Kesegan Monk as well as a Duelist, they would have been using its second power to kill villagers from the start). If she dies and turns out to be a villager, we'll confirm that Eol is a liar and can lynch him the next turn while investigating either Ecth or Orlok. If by some off chance that Eol is both a liar and a villager, we'll find out the alignment of one of the last two unconfirmed players. If that player is not Derethi than it absolutely has to be the other one, unless Elenion was willing to bus his entire team for the long con, which I severely doubt. Cloud could also be Derethi, but that would only be possible if Elbereth is Derethi too, in which case we would find out when we lynch her. If Elbereth is Derethi and the game doesn't end when we lynch her, then we can re-examine Cloud, but I'm still of the opinion that Cloud is village.- 727 replies
