  1. Sorry for the double post, but... Important Game Information Hit Points (HP): Each Known Pokemon will begin the game with 5 HP. Unknown Pokemon may have the same, more or less HP. When a Pokemon's HP reaches 0, it is defeated and it's player will die. Strength (STR): Each Known Pokemon will have 1 STR. Unknown Pokemon may have the same, more or less STR. STR determines the amount of damage a Pokemon deals. If a Pokemon's attack is Not Very Effective it will deal damage equal to the Pokemon's STR. If it is Super Effectice it will deal damage equal to the Pokemon's STR x5. Power Points (PP): Each Known Pokemon will have 20 PP. Unknown Pokemon may have the same, more or less PP. Each time a Pokemon uses a move, it will use 1 point of PP. When a Pokemon's PP reaches 0, it will be unable to take any more actions. This should help explain your GM PMs when they arrive.
  2. And that makes 24! All of the Unknown Pokemon have been unlocked (but that doesnt mean more people aren't welcome to join!) ...... (AKA PAFO)
  3. 5 hours left before the chaos begins. @Aonar Faileas @Araris Valerian @Arraenae @Burnt Spaghetti @Emerald101 @TheMightyLopen @Renegade @Silverblade5 Are any of ya'll interested? Only need 3 more players to unlock the last of the Unknown Pokemon.
  4. (17) Mailliw73: Amanuensis, OrlokTsubodai, TheMightyLopen, Kipper, Magestar, TheSilverDragon, Elenion, little wilson, Alvron, Elbereth, Renegade, Eolhondras, Arraenae, Burnt Spaghetti, jaimeleecee, Master Elodin, Aonar Faileas, (3) Elenion: Sart, The Young Bard, Stink, (1) Emerald101: Conquestor, (1) Elbereth: Araris Valerian, And with that Mailliw just needs one more vote to break the record. Would be cool if it was a player vote rather than a power vote, but it doesn't seem anyone else who hasn't voted for him yet is on. As for you, Mailliw. It was truly a pleasure playing with you. I don't think there's ever been a game I've played that you weren't in. I'm not looking forward to adjusting to your absence. Although I remember you making a comment once about it being hard to be on an eliminator team with me because we have such different thoughts / strategies, I was always happy to have you on my side. I like to think that's part of the reason why we won both of those games, even if you did end up being the first one to die both times Oh, and you better keep in touch on facebook :]
  5. Ah, okay. For some reason there always seems to be a mistake in my tallies :[ (15) Mailliw73: Amanuensis, OrlokTsubodai, TheMightyLopen, Kipper, Magestar, TheSilverDragon, Elenion, little wilson, Alvron, Elbereth, Renegade, Eolhondras, Arraenae, Burnt Spaghetti, jaimeleecee, (3) Elenion: Sart, The Young Bard, Stink, (1) Emerald101: Conquestor, (1) Elbereth: Araris Valerian, @Silverblade5 I'm hoping you and your other Noble friend have your secret vote on Mailliw, too.
  6. So basically this is my understanding of what's going on with Len, and why I haven't gotten involved until now. Len starts the day turn doing his usual thing. I take note of it, but it doesn't seem much different than the way he was acting in MR15. Not too long after I get approached by a player who says he is really suspicious of him (and at the time, wanted him dead), but was afraid he was tunneling because there's quite a few things Len said / did in MR15 that irked him, and despite this being a new game, it didn't seem like he was doing any better. Said player asks me to keep my eye on Len so that I can help keep his bias in check. I say okay, cool, will do. And I do. And despite him (and other players) saying they were suspicious of Len, I saw it less of him being an eliminator and more him just getting on some people's nerves. Kipper's first post talking about him is a pretty good example of a terrible reason to vote someone for the lynch (in a nutshell, he was annoyed and wanted to shut him up; or, at least, that's how I read it). Anyway, I don't hear anything more about Len for a while. though I am watching the votes accumulate on him, taking note on who voted for him and who defended him. Magestar defends him pretty strongly, which while I agree with the reasons completely, I can't help but be curious if there's an ulterior motive to it (aka teammates). So, I let it run it's course for the exact same reason Sart mentioned earlier this turn. I saw some parallels with the swing off of him to previous games and felt no need to get directly involved myself. After all, I told the thread I really didn't think Sart was evil on D1 of LG22 and I never got involved, and that ended up working really well for the village (a part of the reason why I think my early game reads are inefficient compared to my late game). Anyway, Len and Straw end up getting tied, or at least very close, in votes, and the same player who asked me to keep my eye on Len tells me that he claimed Duke and that he was going to use his power to kill Straw. So I was like, okay, cool, let's see if he's not bluffing and has the actual power to do it. Towards the end of the turn I also catch wind that Len is part of some kind of weird Claim-Chain, where a "Duke" had created some kind of cell and was coordinating votes / claims within it. The "Duke" would have them tell one of the other players their role so that everyone knew their own little bit of info, and then that info would get passed around until everyone knew everybody's role (but not the identities of every player) or something weird like that, so that the Duke could tell them all "Dula do this and Merchant do that" or whatever. The same player who tells me about this also tells me that they assumed it was Mailliw because someone told him that Mailliw asked Len to vote on Bard and Len told Bard that Mailliw was trying to get him killed. Bard also apparently told the same player about the situation from their perspective, I think. If you're confused by that last paragraph it's because it's storming confusing, and a lot of the reason why I've just been letting it run it's course. I've only just recently got a PM from Len, and he basically clarified some details for me, which are: he claimed Pirate to some people around the time that he decided to post his "go ahead and lynch me" shpeel and that some of those people found that suspicious because it was the type of desperate move an eliminator might try to pull when they're leading in a lynch. My personal opinion on that is it's not very alignment indicative. I understand the desire for self-preservation from a Village perspective absolutely (D2 of LG23, and many more before that). He also told me that the thing about the Chain-Claim was just a lie he conceived to back up some of his claims, or something to that effect. Before this I was still content to leave things because there were enough difficult-to-comprehend shenanigans going on that confirmation of Len's role and alignment could alleviate, as well as help me get some reads on the players voting for and defending him. I also heard something about him lying about being a Noble and promising to vote on Burnt, but it turns out I had misunderstood what that player was trying to tell me (basically they told me two things at once - that he had asked two Nobles to vote for Burnt to prove their role, and that Len admitted to lying about his role - and I had though he was saying Len was one of those claimed Nobles and that was the role he lied about, so then I was even more confused about how the Burnt vote succeeded and I decided I needed some answers). After having this all clarified for me, I came back to the same conclusion I had on D1. I think Len is a villager, albeit a misguided one. I remember how lost I felt in my first two games here and can sympathize with that. I also had to deal with a very similar situation in LG15b where Creccio was doing all kinds of crazy and confusing things in PMs and I lead a lynch on him just to get some concrete evidence, only to find out he was just a villager and the other person we were originally going to lynch that turn was an eliminator so... yeah. I already brought this up in a couple PMs, but I'm perfectly okay with only lynching Mailliw at this point instead of trying to jam someone else in there that doesn't have sufficient reasoning behind it. I don't agree with the lynch on Len or the lynch on Emerald, but I also don't have enough time in this turn right now to present a case for a couple people that I personally am suspicious of. So... yeah. If there are Merchants out there and you can soothe some random votes, I would appreciate it. Also if there are more Dukes than just Elenion, I would be happy to see you use your power on Mailliw. Nobles too. What's the biggest record for votes on a player again, @little wilson? I know I've asked you before. (9) Mailliw73: Amanuensis, OrlokTsubodai, TheMightyLopen, Kipper, Magestar, Elenion, little wilson, Alvron, Elbereth, (5) Elenion: Sart, Arraenae, The Young Bard, Stink, Renegade, (2) Emerald101: Conquestor, jaimeleecee, (1) Elbereth: Araris Valerian, Storming ninjas!
  7. Yeah, I'm at work, so I've been busy but paying attention when things die down. There's a whole lot of confusing background stuff going on in my PMs right now that I'm trying to talk and figure out. The first thing I heard made me a lot more suspicious of Len, but after I realized it was a misunderstanding I'm pretty much back to the same opinion I had yesterday. I think you responded to that post saying you agreed with me, so you should remember it (basically said I believed Len was a villager). I get off work in two hours so I'll probably thoroughly analyze the situation while I cook dinner and then post my thoughts (should be up about two hours before turnover). I mentioned this earlier, but I really think you guys should have talked more about the lynch last night since there were no PMs to distract anyone and it was warned ahead-of-time that this turn would be shorter. Since I won't be able to post this Night Turn either, I ask that you guys make good use of the time. I would recommend still voting during the turn to see who players would like to see killed by the ChayShan. Whether or not they actually end up listening, it's a great way to get more leads out of people.
  8. Stink's feeling lazy so he's making me answer. You read the chart from left to right. If a Charmander attacks a Squirtle, you'll deal no damage and receive the GM PM "Your attack was not effective." Gotcha :]
  9. And that makes 18! 6 more players and every secret role will be thrown into the brawl. Will the young Poke Masters get the numbers they need? Stay tuned to find out!
  10. So it looks like there'll be no telling the difference between a ChayShan kill and an Eliminator's. At least, not visibly. I'm guessing that of the two, Straw's killer was a villager, and thus Ecth's was the Eliminators. I'm trying to figure out why he would be their first target though. My initial guess would be because there wouldn't be much to read into the death that might reveal them. Can anybody who had a PM with Ecth, or received third party information regarding him, summarize it for the thread? Also, what the storms, Merchants I was really disappointed to see that no votes were negated. I severely doubt there's not a single one of you out there, and now I have no way of knowing. Pretty much everyone should have saw my pleading. I suppose ya'll could be inactive but there aren't very many (Ant, Elbereth and Elodin are the only two that I don't think saw it in time). So yeah. I'm definitely sad. Speaking of, did Ecth claim Noble to anyone? And if so, who did he say he was going to vote for in his PM? I mean, he's obviously innocent so, either he was the only one who voted at all (and chose Burnt, by why?) or two other "Nobles" picked Burnt to overrule him. What I don't get is why, regardless of their alignment, they didn't put their vote on me like I asked. I mean, I get it. I can't and shouldn't control everything, but my plans for the votes were harmless and would have got us a lot of information without putting any specific players at risk. Anyway, I'm a bit sad that people didn't try to get some lynch discussion going since we knew this turn would be shortened. I would have said something myself but thanks to an anonymous Legionnaire I was arrested. I really need to go to bed because I have to wake up for work in 5ish hours, but I just wanted to bring up these things first. Also, Mailliw. I agree wholeheartedly in this scenario that we should have a tie between him and a player we are actually suspicious of. I personally feel extremely uncomfortable about voting for him myself, but someone's got to start it, I guess. @Mailliw73 if you are a Jester like we talked about, please, please, pleaseee do not choose me.
  11. Nah, you're right. She just did what she had to do to win. I can't really blame her for that. I do, however, blame her explicitly for my death. Mostly because of how many times she wrote in the Spiked doc "Aman needs to die," or something to that effect. I wish she followed through with her first plan about Spiking me with Zinc, instead would have been much more fun.
  12. Don't encourage the betrayal >.> Elbereth must be punished for her crimes. @Renegade, I want to echo what everyone else has said so far by thanking you for running a great game. It was definitely very interesting and refreshing, and goes to show that even after your long hiatus, you can still create something awesome.
  13. We're actually one player short from unlocking the fourth secret pokemon a little more than two days left for signups
  14. (5) Straw: TheMightyLopen, Elenion, Ecthellion III, Magestar, The Young Bard (4) Elenion: Kipper, Sart, Straw, OrlokTsubodai, (1) Elbereth: Amanuensis, (1) Master Elodin: jaimeleecee, (1) The Young Bard: Mailliw73, (1) Mailliw73: Arraenae, (1) Emerald101: Stink, (1) Ecthellion III: Renegade, (1) Amanuensis: little wilson, Well Lopen, you now how have the power to tip the lynch off of Straw and onto Elenion, if you so deem it necessary this is dangerously close to becoming a tie with vote manipulation but, I guess I wouldn't really mind that happening because it might give us some good info. I'm open to consideration. What're you offering in return?
  15. Don't worry guys. I organized a rebellion and have now founded the Free Republic of Amania. Slavery is illegal here, and my first act as ruler will be to execute the once-slavedriver, Mailliw. Anyone who wishes to join my nation can apply for a working visa via PM. Yeah, it's definitely a possibility that he's evil but, I'm leaning towards not. Once I see the results for sure I'll go ahead and analyze everyone who voted for him to see if I think any of them are likely evil. Issue is with a lynch like this, there's a pretty good chance the eliminators are just sitting back laughing at the village killing one of their own.
