  1. While I am slightly suspicious of Jondesu, the lynch train seems very sudden, and I'd really like to hear Jondesu's defense before doing anything rash.
  2. Hello, everyone! While I know myself too well to promise to be completely active, I hope to be at least semi-active this game. Starting tentatively with Ecthelion, mainly just as a gut feeling.
  3. I went as Osgood. So happy with how it turned out.
  4. I remember when I went to England a couple years ago, one of my favorite things was the squash. As far as I'm aware, squash just doesn't exist in the US. (So as not to confuse any who haven't had squash, it is a concentrated drink that you dilute with water.) Is it exclusively in the UK? Europe? Everywhere that isn't America?
  5. If it were done well, I fear it would turn into a cinematic experience similar to Lord of the Rings in length. The non-linear storytelling works great on the printed page, but does not easily translate to a film. I agree that Mistborn would probably be a safer move into the Cosmere.
  6. Signing up as Aurore Lepinceau. I'm super excited to get back into SE.
  7. I am now convinced that breaking technology is your Talent, and that you've only now figured how to use it to your advantage. Oversleep, you're a Smedry.
  8. Personally, I'm really excited. Yes, it might be a bit gimmicky, but the adaptability really appeals to me. For those of you that don't know, the Nintendo Switch is a hybrid console/mobile gaming device. It will be released in March of next year, I think. Anyone else excited? Other impressions?
  9. What about Salem? Who is the insane one there?
  10. So, for the fall play, my school is presenting Flowers for Algernon. I just finished watching the in-school performance, and I am currently drowning in feels. Why? Why would you make something so sad?
  11. ... Maybe wrap up the scene with Heartsleeve? Have her wake up the next morning, mind still heavy about the poster situation, before getting back to work, furiously trying to connect the dots?
  12. Apologies for being nonexistent for a while... Anything I should know about?
  13. I have returned from the depths of inactivity, hopefully to be more active now. Nice to be on the Shard again.
  14. I've got a plain old simple touch. I don't know what advice I could give you, aside from turning it off and back on again. Sorry I can't be of more help.
  15. It sounds really similar to Lightwood, but she's in Astoria, so I don't know if that really matters. What is her motivation in going to Salem?
  16. New Candyflame post up!
  17. Candyflame jolted awake as a wave of pure terror washed over her. Frantic, she jumped to her feet, unsuccessfully searching the room for the source. After a moment’s hesitation, she went into overdrive. Rushing back and forth, she connected branches with molten sugar, adding thorns for good measure. When her pouch of sugar ran out, she picked up the crystalline shards that littered the floor. She was a panicked hummingbird, flying across the room to add more defenses to her impromptu fort. The whole room quickly became sugar-coated, bright blues and pinks showering multi-colored reflections across the work of a maddened Epic. Out of sugar, Candyflame stood in the middle of her brightly colored mess. The tangled webs had only distracted her briefly from the terror that still loomed over her. It would not let her sit down and rest, for what if it came? She could not push away the nightmares, as she used to. Being an emotionless lump had its perks. Oh yes, she knew how the others regarded her, but apathy was what protected her. After all, hadn’t Nighthound forgotten her? Left her behind, due to her utter blandness? Who wanted a pet that wouldn’t yelp if you kicked it? She was far better off without those emotions to drag her down. But this vice-like grip of fear would not let go. The emotion was back, and it wanted to stay.
  18. So, I have just recently begun to volunteer at the local Humane Society where I can play with cats for volunteer hours, which is a dream come true. However, I just got an email saying that there is an infection going around which means no playing with cats for two weeks. It's kind of a small thing, but it still is sad.
  19. One question: It wasn't exactly clear whose head it was. Whose was it? Great post, by the way.
  20. And then the "immunity" posts that follow that. "Repost teh immunity cat and he wil protect u from all thos posts saying dat u will die if u dont repost them." Totally not the same thing.
