  1. The spheres are no bigger than a thumbnail though, they can keep a lot of investiture. Anyway that is a good question, Wayne mentions that regrowing fingers is a pain, but Lord Ruler is pretty much immortal from just one bracelet... one bracelet that was apparently both atium and gold...
  2. The internet. I pretty much taught myself guitar from sorta playing the piano and youtube. If we are to believe Lovecraft Pluto is thriving with terrible abominations. I cant sleep, I work tomorrow, it is 3.34, so annoying...
  3. Would Nicroburst-Feruchmist really be as powerful as we imagine it though? If it works as we are theorizing it does you would still need to burn nicrosil to store your metalminds. Nicrosil doesnt seem like it is all that common, at least not at the moment. Anyway I am agreeing with the ones who doubt it would work the same way it does in the MAG, I have no idea how it would work though. A Pewterarm-Feruchemist would be pretty powerful. They can compound their pewter and store their steel and gold minds with the speed and health they get from the pewter. And possibly their bronze minds... Anyway Ive decided, Im going Mistborn-Sparker.
  4. Welcome, have an upvote~ The Rithmatist is one of the Brandon books I still need to read, that, Alcatraz and Firefight. Whats your favorite, book/character/etc and what kind of twinborn would you be?
  5. There are equal problems with not 'being true to yourself'. To me it sounds like "Dont think for yourself, follow the rules that others have set for you, question nothing". some people...
  6. That is pretty much the explanation. They dont hear "Im going out to have fun" they hear "Im going to fight my way through a dungeon filled with death traps". And I thought my analogy was great... Anyway, bottom line is that extroverts cant bake.
  7. Do it, they have cookies.
  8. Granted, but you cant burn it. I wish to live in the cosmere.
  9. For an introvert this is the exact opposite. Being social takes energy, it doesnt give. A social gathering will end up being something like going out running, sure, the exercise can feel good, but when you get home you are just tired and want to read a good book. Going with this analogy being in the middle of the room surrounded by everyone in 3 conversations at the same time will be the social equivalent to running three marathons, wearing high heels made out of lead while carrying a noisy three year old on your back.
  10. Theories ohoy~ Nightblood eats investiture. Things eaten need to go somewhere, so the smoke probably just goes back to the universe, so to speak. I think there was a WoB in the AMA (that I cant find at the moment) that said that investiture is just an extra force of physics or something along those lines. Anyway I figure it goes like this Nightblood eats investiture--->Nightblood digests investiture---->Investiture leaks out and becomes part of the universe again. I guess there is some kind of nutrition in the innate investiture that Nightblood absorbs that he then absorbs. Edit: Found the WoB Source: https://www.reddit.com/r/books/comments/2ytg2h/im_novelist_brandon_sanderson_ama/cpcr6ws
  11. "The tall, compact tenements cast deep shadows even in the afternoon. As if this were the place dusk came for a drink and a chat before sauntering out for its evening duty." This line, I love it. Wayne is rusting great, the way he views the world is so... interesting XD
  12. The Color of Magic by Terry Pratchett and A Shadow in Summer by Daniel Abraham. Multitasking.
  13. I tried the same thing, then I realized that the lashings dont work in reality...
  14. INTP, the clumsy professor type.
  15. Soothing and Spinning, maybe.
  16. "Better to trust and be betrayed, than to never have trusted at all."
  17. Someone sat down to define the words in the dictionary, our understandings of the concept (within reason, of course, it does not for example mean 'fork' or any other kind of dinnerware.) isn't necessarily more wrong or right. For example I would say that murdering Sadeas was no more dishonorable than killing the Parshendi. They are both enemies, the only difference is that Sadeas is hiding behind a veil of politics. Anyway a lot of Stormlight is about different kinds of honor. My personal favorite is so far the Lightweavers, "Be pragmatic and honest to yourself". My least favorite being the Skybreakers and their absurd ways of twisting the laws to fit their own needs. Nale hunting people who committed minor crimes is ridiculous (Of course it is implied that the there is more going on and the Radiants returning is a bad thing, so he might be doing the right thing after all, or, well, at least the pragmatic thing) and Szeth following the laws of a people who abandoned him is equally ridiculous, but he did sacrifice his own sanity for it, so by your definition he did something honorable. I think honor is about following some code of what is 'ethical' and 'right' (both words we could start another thread about!), but it is not always the reasonable choice. Give me the opportunity to cheat to win a million dollars and I would obviously take it, unless there was a high risk of getting caught. It is 5 o clock in the morning, I woke up for some reason, I'll stop ranting about here.
  18. I'm already a zinc compounder *cough*totally*cough* So thinking fast and rioting fast is definitely what I want. Then again there is allomantic chromium... I can just be very lucky when I think instead of thinking really fast... Feruchemist with allomantic chromium would be pretty useful, just for compounding. Or the other way around. You can be very lucky when steelpushing. Leecher/Feruchemist then. I dont really need the rioting with duralumin feruchemy.
  19. This very question has kept me up at night. I wonder if we will ever see one.
  20. Granted but everyone tries to take it from you. I wish to be very creative.
  21. I read them Mistborn--->Elantris--->Warbreaker--->Stormlight. Start with either Warbreak or Mistborn, then do Stormlight or Elantris. You could read Elantris last because by then you will understand all the Cosmere clues.
  22. If I recall correctly they were both incorporeal though. Well, ridiculous theory incoming. Nightblood wont take up Odium, but eat the shard, and by that he will turn even more dangerous because now he can make anyone who picks him up really hate the evil. Of course that will create an even bigger conflict when Szeth has the strongest weapon in the Cosmere...
  23. Would he be able to be swung though? His body should disappear just like it did for everyone else.
  24. I am pretty sure someone in bridge 4 (cant for the life of me remember who though, it was in WoK, anyway...) mentions that in his culture ranged combat is considered more honorable than close ranged combat. It was kind of in the passing though, so I dont think you are stealing anything.
  25. Sometimes I forget how lucky I am that my entire family are cynical introverts who are way too nice... I do have some philosophical arguments with my father sometimes, but Im pretty sure he enjoys them.
