Stormlight Archive Fantasy Casting
KnightGradient replied to DiscoDubber's topic in Stormlight Archive
Seriously feather, both Kaladin and Shallan are amazing, and you screwed my perception of Renarin up. Pasqualino is way dark enough, as Kaladin spent his childhood in a surgery room instead of a field. What really gets me for Shallan's fancast is that her eyes are PERFECT! You are pretty rad at fancasting in my opinion. -
So would swearing the final KR ideal be initiation, or would your spren showing up be it? Nice catch however, and I can't wait to see this term used in the future.

What Kind of Misting Would You Choose to Be?
KnightGradient replied to nicocoberru's topic in Mistborn
I think being a Soother or Rioter would be awesome. Being able to manipulate the emotions of those around me would be awesome. Plus, zinc and brass are actually easy to get in the modern day world, so I wouldn't have to go so far to get my metals. -
Stakes in the Stormlight Archive (buncha WoR spoilers)
KnightGradient replied to DSC01's topic in Stormlight Archive
Nalan might find out that Kaladin was involved in a regicidal plot. I doubt Moash is going to be tight-lipped about his "betrayal". As for the fight, according to my action figure calculations(I majored in it) it should be a 12.44 on the Godzilla Scale. -
Major props dude. So are we assuming Autonomy= Survival? Mainly because the strict definition of autonomy is "the capacity of a rational individual to make an informed, un-coerced decision."(I really love Wikipedia) Autonomous magic would probably be about "freeing" things, if I guess correctly. Braveheart is probably the way to go, but it seems like their'd be more to it. Maybe something to do with bringing things to life? Similar to Awakening, but more permanent. Or perhaps the ability to sustain yourself? Lame, but possible. My favorite idea is that it gives the practitioners a random set of abilities, and they gain power by not relying on said power. Can't wait to see where this thread goes!

So we all know how Kaladin has the shash brand right? This is probably HUGE speculation on my part, but shash means 6 according to the Ars Arcanum. It originated from Shalash, who was the head of the Lightweavers. Shallan is named for Shalash. Draw your own conclusions, but basically, why does 6=dangerous?

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
KnightGradient replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, but the only game you will ever own is Minecraft. I wish to teleport anywhere I wished at will. -
Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
KnightGradient replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted, but five minutes after reremembering what you forgot you will lose it again. This cycle will rule your life, causing you to be unable to remember things you read. But then you remember them. Then you forget. MUAHAAHHAAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! I wish for Pi to have an end. -

Granted, but now you can't enter 10 as a base for your logarithms. I wish for a copy of "Lopen's Guide to Chouta" with a list of all chouta recipes. -
Shhhhhhhh. Kobold will hear you.

Lerasium and Atium Theory (potential Mistborn spoilers)
KnightGradient replied to Shardlet's topic in Mistborn
Maybe since Investiture "tears" a whole in your Spiritweb, then fills it up with itself, you could store a portion of your sDNA inside the lerasium(or an alloy of it and atium), which would cause Feruchemy to fill that gap. I think that would solve both the burning issue and the unlimited use problem. -
Q: Has Hoid ever visited the planet Braize? A: [sing-song, delighted] RAFO. Such a big RAFO! The biggest RAFO! I am sorry if someone else has suggested this before. But I can't help but think, "Why is it so important if Hoid visited Braize?" Then I started thinking, "Is that because Yolen and Braize are the same?" My only proofs are speculation, and the fact that Adolnasium had created spren on Roshar before the Shattering, and that life could not develop naturally on Roshar, since the star in that system is too young. If anyone could ask Brandon if A. "Is Yolen still around in the Cosmere?" or B. "Is Yolen Braize?" That would be really neat. Thanks for reading my crackpot theory.

Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
KnightGradient replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Granted. He is now your least favorite character, and Sadeas is now your favorite. I wish to find a bead of Lerasium. -
I got super bored, so I decided to find out exactly the proportion of Earth to Rosharan years. 1.141552511415525 Roshar to 1 Earth. Multiply that number by the Rosharan age of a character, and you will know their earth age. For instance, Kaladin would be about 21 or 22. Still young, but not SUPER young. Also, do we have a WOB on whether or not Rosharans age different as well? Like is 19 years on Roshar the same for a Rosharan as 19 years on Earth?

On Preservation's Sacrifice To Make Humanity
KnightGradient replied to Moogle's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Wasn't my headcanon before but now needs to be supported by BS or I will be very angry. -
Remember how Kaladin's Shash glyph wouldn't heal, or take ink, because he still viewed himself as "branded"? Remember how at the end of WOR, Lopen's arm began to grow back? Is it because he still viewed himself as having two arms? If so, that means that every one-armed Herdazian joke he made was an attempt to convince himself he was ok with being a one-armed Herdazian.

World misconceptions that are difficult to shift.
KnightGradient replied to ljósmóður's topic in Stormlight Archive
For me, I picture Wit/Hoid as Kaladins age, with shoulder length black hair and super old looking eyes. Also, atium is pure creamy white, and nothing can ever change that. Thunderclasts look like storm atronachs from Skyrim, and chasmfiends are snakes+centipedes. -

Granted, but you will now "slip" Lopadotemachoselachogaleokranioleipsanodrimhypotrimmatosilphioparaomelitokatakechymenokichlepikossyphophattoperisteralektryonoptekephalliokigklopeleio-lagoiosiraiobaphetraganopterygon into every word you say. I wish I was Batman so I could take down The Honor Spren for murdering the curious small child. -
I will give hope to men.

Maybe since it is difficult to destroy stone, it can survive? That's a pretty big stretch, yet again, ask yourself, what does metal have to do with Ruining or Preserving something?

Granted, but you are now cursed to have a small(permanent) child constantly asking you "Why?" after anything you say. I wish to have the affects of atium on me at all times, without requiring me to burn it, or to be Allomatically inclined.
