I keep seeing people jamming Odium and Autonomy into the worlds most terrifying tag team, and it just doesn't make sense for Rayse to keep working with Bavadin. But, one antonym for honor is odium. Another is disobey. So is it possible that Honor has two opposites, instead of a cut and clean one like Preservation and Ruin?

Is it possible to do the same thing with a Pulser? Imagine if you had 6 Pulsers, doing exactly the same thing, and just time traveling into the future. You could have the ultimate time capsule. Get on a train/ambulance, and keep a guy in stasis. Got an extremely radioactive isotope and don't want its half-life interfering? Grab a Pulse Circle and BOOM!

There's one thing you guys are forgetting; feruchemical chromium. If you're a gambler, you'd probably have to hide the chromium in your ring or something, but its literally stored luck. If you do an job with a fair amount of luck involved, spend your time off storing it. You'll trip on your shoelaces and whatnot, but then you make bank.

[Secret History spoilers] Last character you read
KnightGradient replied to Voidus's topic in Mistborn
Technically speaking, I'm Silence. The real question is whether or not I'm in the book, because if so, I'd like to opt out. Threnody is terrifying on every possible level, from going vegetarian to storming ghosts. But if I'm not on Threnody then YEAH! I'm Silence rusting Montane, the coolest single mother ever(and that's saying something because almost all single mothers are a 9 on the Radical Scale). -
While everyone else is recoiling from SH, can we just talk about how humorous it was? My favorite part by far was when Kelsiers' (second) gambit came into play. The look on Ruins' face when he saw what Marsh did made me double over, and cry a little bit, from just how funny it was. Also, when making my friend read it, all I told her was, "Kelsier goes on an undead roadtrip to punch, con, and war against every manner of god he finds. Mostly punching."

Speed bubbles definitely effect time, since bullets and carriages can experience the bubble. Last time I checked, bullets and carriages don't react(in the Physical realm at least) consciously.

That actually... makes some sense. I can tell that you're a little unaware of the deep deep theorizing on it, but Rusts that makes sense. It's probably not as simple as that, but I like the way it sounds.

Ok, here's my idea for a super fast, super rad Allomantic cannon. For this, you'll need: 1 Allomantic Grenade(optional) 1 Slider(optional) at least 5 Coinshots at least 3 Lurchers. There are two chambers for this design, the Spinny and the Barrel(If you have better names please suggest) The Spinny is circular, with a round wall on the inside and a round wall on the outside. There is a panel inside where Coinshots can push it to open, where it leads into the Barrel. The Spinny is similar to a particle accelerator, except, instead of magnets, we got metalborn. There will be a round(preferably iron or lead) ball inside, and will act as the particle. The Lurchers stand at equal distances away from each other, all around the Spinny. An equal amount of Coinshots will also stand equal distances away from each other as well. Heres the trick part; the Lurchers have to Pull on the ball, but stop Pulling when it gets close. The Coinshots have to Push it away, then stop Pushing when it gets too far. The Slider, if you should choose to have one, will throw the AG into the middle of the Spinny, causing the ball to accelerate faster. Once the AG wears off, the ball should have reached a pretty high speed. Now, the extra 2 Coinshots will release the ball. One will Push on the panel, and the other on the ball. The panel will curve into the barrle, so the ball doesn't lose as much speed. Once in the straight part of the Barrel, the Coinshots should push on the ball as hard as they can, so as to regain some of the lost speed. Finally, watch as your super rad Allomantic cannon destroys virtually everything. The ball could be explosive, or filled with jelly beans. It's up to you. Have fun!

[Bands Spoilers] Having the has Sazed a Metal?
KnightGradient replied to NeutroniumAlchemist's topic in Mistborn
Upvote for the Jamaican Scadrians. Ettmetal is probably based off sodium, but it could theoretically be any of the elements in the first period. Does anyone know the energy released when, say, a gram, contacts water? Maybe an explosion radius or something would work. -
Upvote because when I read Vin's fight scenes, I hear 'Iron' by Woodkid. Especially the one at the end of HoA

[Secret History Spoiler] Whose body is it anyway?
KnightGradient replied to RShara's topic in Mistborn
Well that's an incredibly disturbing thought. As for the scars, don't we see several times that they throb with pain in TFE, even though its years after he was in the Pits? Either A) They're so ingrained into his identity that they magically appear on the body he hijacked. He went (more)insane and carved scars into his new bod. Or C) The Pits have some seriously spooky(badum tsssss) investiture shenanigans going on that screwed with Kelsier's soul itself.- 51 replies

There's not nearly enough salt about [Secret History Spoilers]
KnightGradient replied to FeatherWriter's topic in Mistborn
Kelsier isn't afraid to die. He's tried to kill at least three 'gods'(Leras, Ati, and Rashek). He knew each time he would probably die, and he did die on one. I don't think that its only his ego, or his 'altruism', but his fear. Fear of an afterlife where he'd presumably have to confront Mare. I don't think he wants to do that, so instead, he shoves a spike in his eye, and meddles the rusts out of the SoScadrians. -
Character Sketches for all 256 Twinborn Combos
KnightGradient replied to christianlathaire's topic in Mistborn
Well... you sure do have a lot of free time! Also, thank you, I spent a few hours combing through them, and it was really fun! -
My first thought was that "Hoid has a mansion? Wow!" and then I realized that Hoid is Hoid and is cryptic. *puts on aluminum foil* Maybe he was referring to more than Scadrial...? *takes off aluminum foil*

[Bands Spoilers] Completely true plot of The Lost Metal!
KnightGradient replied to Lightflame's topic in Mistborn
Steris dying is one of the saddest things in the series. Second only to Vin and Elend dying, but above finding out Wayne isn't gonna play the Hoi diddle diddle. -
I don't think that's likely, if only because Autonomy wouldn't fancy the idea of working with someone. Having somebody work with him is directly against his Intent. Just putting my 2 cents in.

So, the Southerners had, just, super weak body heat, right? Like, they could be covered in blankets and still be shivering, while in the Basin, which is a very temperate place. What if, because they were constantly tapping brassminds(or tapping them often), that their bodies homeostasis(I think that s the right word) is just shot. Similar to Miles, who was constantly tapping gold, but instead it gave him extra healing abilities, whereas the Southerners can't generate heat very well inherently. This would explain why they're constantly shivering(this was the 4th most intriguing thing to me in BoM). Thoughts?

At first I thought you had were saying "Sliver" and honestly that was more confusing then finding out Hoid was in every novel. As for silver, it isn't like aluminum, which just ignores investiture of all kinds. It's only use is on Threnody, but you make a good point about Nightblood's sheath. Would Brandon describe aluminum as 'silvery'?

Now you see, that's the funny thing. Technically, both of their preserves were Ruined(badum tssss) by an outside force. Of course, said outside force was eventually destroyed by something it had made, so maybe there's more to it than meets the Tineye

Roshar and Nalthis have a lot of similarities. Brandon himself referred to Nightblood as a robot spren, and Nightblood does a lot of the same things Shardblades do. I don't know if Brandon would lump Nightblood together with so many plot points, but it is possible that it has some similarities to the Thrill. Nice job noticing that.

Firstly, wonderful job with the quotes, and speculation on each one individually and as a whole. Upvote for that. Secondly, I think Brandon's a great writer, but to add a plot that's entirely based in the subtext, and can only be read by crazy people(i.e. The Shard), and is only relevant for people who are versed in realmatic theory, that would test the limits of his skill. Thirdly, I do agree with EagleOfTheForestPath in that it does cheapen the plot in some places, since Vin is characteristically independent. To have some shadow manipulating her in the same way R&P did feels like stretching it. Fourthly, I really really want this to be true because even if Vin doesn't come back, it means that she could come back. That would be a great false hope for me.

I've been thinking about whether or not Harmony would want to do that lately. I mean, Hemalurgy is an incredibly powerful tool, as we see with the chimeras. In minutes, Rashek had developed three different creations. In 300 years, Sazed must've learned about many powerful aspects of the art. Who's to say if he didn't use any of them?
-
On the epigraph for chapter 67 of HoA, there is some pretty precise wording(emphasis mine) Not only does Brandon name drop Autonomy, but its the exact plan enacted by Bleeder in SoS. When she attempted to free the people of Elendel, her whole plan hinges on the idea that strong emotion frees humans from Harmony's influence. Take the above quote however you wish, but I think it supports Trell being Autonomy.

When I'm rererereading W&W stuff, I just pretend the Historica is the original Mistborn books, and that Sazed basically went all Life of Pi on Elend, Vin, and Kelsier. Since he was a Shard, and the Spiritual realm is presumably weird in ways we can't comprehend, it wouldn't take to long(probably).
