  1. Aluminum doesn't work well for swords. Too malleable, and won't hold an edge very well (someone can correct me if I'm wrong). A simple spear made of aluminum would probably be fine, though, doesn't have to be able to cut well if you can just jam it all the way through with sufficient force.
  2. I think that makes an amazing amount of sense, and I applaud you for this theory. It matches up very well with the way we believe (know?) that the chasmfiends and skyeels both bond with spren that allow for their massive growth (in the first example) and their ability to fly and hover without wings or propulsion (skyeels are probably bonded to gravity spren or something similar).
  3. My car just broke down. AC stopped working last week, and then on my way home just now the power steering cut out, my battery light came on, and it started overheating. This is officially a bad day now.
  4. Indeed they did. Emphasis added. Good catch, Clanky. Kintas sighed and viewed the fledgling Cosmere. Alas, his mobility and actions were limited. He knew what was meant to happen. He could change what was going to happen. But his mobility was limited, and his actions restrained. He viewed the new worlds, and sighed.
  5. His/her last name wouldn't happen to be Cobb, would it? Also, I'd be fine dropping out and being a spectator if we hit that limit and someone else wants to join. I wasn't sure I should sign up in the first place.
  6. Sparks that was a bad start for us Reckoners. I knew I was drawing flak, but I also knew it might be too suspicious if I was posting but not going after anything. Well done to Majestic for pulling that off so skillfully, though! Len, I didn’t believe the Loyal Citizen claim, so even though I was long dead, I’m sorry your hard work didn’t convince very many people. And phew, that was a weird but fun game.
  7. Ok, why not? I’ll send Remart to Threnody and see how he handles it.
  8. Huh, I hadn’t processed that, and the two-lives rule you quoted was my suggestion. Someone must have targeted them with something I guess? That usually happens in night turns, but we didn’t specify for most items or roles, so it’s possible this game.
  9. I'm starting a job search for a part-time job, meaning a return to employment for the first time in a year and a half (or at least actual work). I want to try something new, too, and one of the options I'm looking into is as a worship leader at a church, which would be a big change, but it's a job I do know I could do well. Also, I'm going to begin a new diet sometime soon, one of those ones that provides you the meals…except we can't afford that, so we're going to make everything ourselves based on what we know from the people who have done it before. We have the guide, but it's definitely a lot more work and commitment to do it all myself than to just have things sent to me to eat.
  10. Also, whoever got the Gunsmith role, I'd love to talk to you in a PM, perhaps once you've already made some decisions if you'd prefer, but I just want to be able to follow along a bit. Hopefully you don't decide to kill me yourself.
  11. I believe I was on Ornstein's team as an Elim at one point (the player who created the character of Searanatha theranson threson the 45th and a half, so it's perfectly acceptable to call him that) as well, and I knew they were not new here. I was trying not to be petty by trying to actually kill them, just add a little fun. Looks like it helped the Agents of Chaos, which was not my intent. It doesn't actually conflict with my win con, though, so perhaps I shouldn't worry about that. I just don't want to die.
  12. Wow, the flak I catch for using logic... and yeah, HH, wanting your rule to go into effect is fine. You still seemed like you wanted chaos, not just your rule to kick in.
  13. Eh, I was trying to be nice and not kick him out of the game, while providing a humorous reason for voting on him. I guess that intent was lost. Searanatha theranson threson the 45th and a half. I’ll also back up my current suspicion with my extra votes for now: HH, HH.
  14. Sorry, @Kaymyth! I always hate showing up somewhere only to find it’s been canceled.
  15. Oh, give me a little credit. It was lazy, but not meant to be rude. :-P Cycle 1 we never have very good justifications anyways. Besides, I actually only voted to roleblock, not lynch them. HH was an reason-based lynch candidate. Also, @AliasSheep or @STINK, does a vote have to remain on someone until the end of the cycle to keep them from being Boring, or is just getting one enough even if it’s later retracted? The rule isn’t explicit about that. Oh, and if someone wants to submit a rule negating or modifying the one about Searantha threransom threson the 45th and a half’s name, I could definitely support that. I already proposed another rule in my GM PM that I think is more important, though.
  16. Kintas blinked in the new sky. Literally. He was standing in nothingness, with the fledgling cosmere spread it before him. It was a disconcerting experience, though improved somehow by the fact that he also seemed to have no body. Oh, you’ll get that back later. He blinked. Or, well, tried to, but a lack of eyes and eyelids stopped him in his tracks. His mind still skipped a moment in time. Yeah, I’m talking to you. Kintas /*I was Quintus once, wasn’t I*/ tried to find the source of the voice, but it quickly became clear that whoever it was didn’t have a body either, or at least he couldn’t see it from his current vantage point. “Who are you?” His voice sounded odd, but he could hear it, so he hoped the disembodied voice could as well. Oh, I’m no one, really. Or rather, I’m no one important enough to worry about. I do have a friend that suggested I try to do something incredibly improbable, and so I decided to find out what happened at the beginning of this section of the universe. It appears I picked you up as a hitchhiker, or maybe a parasite of sorts. No worries, I’ll get you back where you belong once I’m done, but I want to see what happens here. Oh yes, and I suppose if we’re going to keep talking, you’ll want a name to use for me. The name’s Dent, Arthur Dent. Kintas didn’t answer. He wasn’t sure there was a point in talking to a hallucination in the middle of the weirdest dream he’d ever had.
  17. I would be very against using rules to change the odds for any faction and make it easier to eliminate them. That would not be fun for me were I part of a team that lost because the majority of players decided to change the rules and take away some advantage or give us a disadvantage. Any rules we submit should benefit the game, not particular factions. Speaking of which, perhaps we can add a faction or two? As noted, there’s probably a number of factionless players, so forming a new faction via a rule would be very feasible. Also, since we should have a lynch (though I think no one will die during the day turn, since we all have two lives), I’ll vote to roleblock Searanatha theranson threson the 45th and a half simply because that’s entirely too long of a name to deal with, and lynch HH, since he seems to be hoping for a lot of chaos, and is likely an Agent of Chaos.
  18. Sorry. I shared a room almost up until college, so I know what you’re talking about, and I like alone time too (a lot). Good luck!
  19. I realized I didn’t give the Gunsmith a win con, so if it isn’t considered adding a rule inside my rule, the Gunsmith’s win con will be to have all guns passed out and used, without the Gunsmith dying (they may win if they die after all guns have been fired). Those who are given the guns do not know the identity of the Gunsmith. If the Gunsmith is part of a faction, they also must complete any shared win cons.
  20. No mistakes to see here.
