  1. It will be either Little Gavinor or Oroden.
  2. I wonder if doing this actually damages the spirit web.
  3. When looking at the Shadesmar map, we see names of places away from Shadesmar called Expanses. I think that the Expanse of the Densities is referring to the 10 Gas Giants in the Rosharan System. Thoughts?
  4. In the chapter where Moash first enters the slave camps, he asks about the parshman slaves - to which the Fused replies that they "harboured a false god" into the camp, and were punished for this reason. What do you think this "False God" is/was?
  5. Was re-reading Oathbringer and came across this quote, from where Syl was telling Kaladin about her remembering times before she was bonded to him. “Besides, there was… another voice. Pure, with a song like tapped crystal, distant yet demanding…” She smiled, and zipped away. Any thoughts on whose voice this was? I'm betting Cultivation, edging Syl towards bonding Kaladin.
  6. Like Ammanas said, these are just the UK versions.
  7. When (or if) Aether of Night officially gets rewritten and released - what parts do you think will be changed and why? Also - are they any parts of the story that you yourself would like to see changed? - Auger (the apparently dyslexic allomancer who can't spell their own misting name)
  8. Seeing as uncontrolled investiture seeks to gain sentience, you could say that Adonalsium (being the source of all investiture) had this Intent.
  9. I know this sub-forum has already established that Decay is pretty much the proto-Ruin, but I was re-reading Secret History earlier and found this quote, where Kelsier looks into Ruin's prison: "In that other place, he found destruction. Decay. Not blackness, for blackness was too complete, too whole to represent this thing he sensed in the Beyond." Possible little name drop to tease us a little?
  10. Liar of Partinel almost certainly will include Aether's, as it's about pre-shattering, where magic was everywhere - both lightweaving and Aethers are native to Yoden.
  11. I feel like a lot of Aether was dissected and used in other books, which unfortunately means that when Aether gets re-written, there will be loads of stuff to redo so that it's not too similar to other books.
  12. Just thought I'd throw this in here: Meaning of name Nahel Etymology : Which(Who) sealed(quenched) his(its) thirst (Arabic).
  13. Has anyone suggested that the Densities may just be the Gas Giants that surround the outer edges of the Rosharan system?
  14. A very interesting WoB was just posted, which further backs this theory: This part specifically, "match the age his spirit said he was", makes this theory even more plausible as Hoid has no ties to the spiritual realm, and therefore his age cannot revert to what his "spirit" would have said he was, meaning either Hoid cannot age, or he can choose his age. Hoid and age Q: Now we have some idea of how Hoid changes his age? A: I haven't said if this is a method Hoid uses or not, but it's part of the reason the Lord Ruler turned to dust when he lost his metalminds. (His body tried to match the age his spirit said he was.) 15. OMG this WoB is the best by far: Hoid and age Q: Now we have some idea of how Hoid changes his age? A: I haven't said if this is a method Hoid uses or not, but it's part of the reason the Lord Ruler turned to dust when he lost his metalminds. (His body tried to match the age his spirit said he was.) Hoid has no ties to the spiritual realm, so he can be whatever age he please (or is stuck at a certain age).
  16. This might have been suggested before, and I know that this passage has been analysed many a time. Hoid mentions at the end of both Way of Kings and Words of Radiance about him being "spiritually" blind, and he says that he was very clever by stating this. In my opinion, this is also why Hoid is so unafraid of Jasnahs Shardblade at the end of Words of Radiance, and why he states that it can do him little harm, as the Shardblade cannot properly cut anything in the physical realm (the blade seems to "fuzz") until it kills the soul (severs the ties to the spiritual realm). Meaning that seeing as Hoid has no ties to the spiritual realm, a Soul killing sword can do little harm to him. Thoughts?
  17. In response to the burst of power thing, I'm surprised no one has brought up the dawnshards. Perhaps they are aether-like spren designed for heralds to match their honorblades? Wild speculation, but we don't have a clue what the dawnshards are apart from the fact they're not the honorblades.
  18. I really hope it does become Vax in the cannon, as it could be where Ruin's (Decay's) mind begins to becomes more and more affected by the Shardic influence, and so the Vessels last truly lucid moments are on Vax, and then afterwards he is fully effected by the shard on Scadrial. If I am not mistaken, in the book Decay has nothing to do with any Investiture on the planet, as it all came from Order (and the twins).
  19. As soon as I read about the Amberite crystals I thought of Mraize and his cosmere collection, glad other people made the connection.
  20. I too found it strange how the Former seemed like a good guy, and then at the end seemed to be happy that "The Fell Twins" have returned.
  21. It seems like a similar comparison, but they seem to have less cognitive function in the physical realm.
  22. Subtractonalsium.
  23. She has lived on 3 worlds as stated in a WOB, and there's a drawing in one of the Wax books that looks like a Hunter.
  24. MILD SPOLERS FOR BANDS OF MOURNING After finishing Bands of Mourning and learning about the masked people in Southern Scadrial, they seem to very clearly link to Iyatil in Words of Radiance. She even says "I have often asked myself why those of you here go about so brazenly with features exposed to all who would see them". In BoM, Alik Neverfar calls Marasi a "Maskless barbarian" as well. Coincidence? I think not. Edit: Apparently autocorrect turns Maskless into Massless.
