  1. You're right, in that instance it doesn't look like a Kandra, but to me, the skeletons line up far too nicely for it to not be a Kandra. Going off what Kurkistan said, if there is a Rogue Kandra out there, it's a good possibility something is controlling it, some shardic power, which combined with Hemalurgy would make the power the cause of the Steelrunner's visions. The only problem is a meta-analysis one, where in something that Sanderson didn't intend to be a major episode in the over-arching Mistborn saga is there room for a shardic power of that level?
  2. So, in the second chapter of Shadows of Self, Wax thinks he sees Bloody Tan. This stood out to me. We know there's something fishy about him, but as far as I can tell, no one figured it out yet. I decided to give it a shot. I was discussing this with a non-sharder friend, and he suggested that Tan could have been Koloss-blooded. I initially dismissed that as impossible, but it got me thinking. What if Tan wasn't human? If you recall, his layer from AoL was filled with skeletons. What uses skeletons? Kandra. And thus I posit my theory: Bloody Tan was a Kandra, and faked his own death.
  3. True, it would kind of ruin the fun. Sure, I'll try to honor the intent of that, and keep from inadvertently acting as if things were confirmed. I could see it being confusing. Back on topic, you know you're a Sanderfan when you see an western and wonder where the giraffes are.
  4. Sorry, should I have added a 'some say'? Or 'you ascribe to a theory that?
  5. You know you're a Sanderfan when you know that ardents have already been soul casting rock into human flesh for food.
  6. That's really more a 'you might not be a sanderfan when'
  7. I think endowing a puppet with the Breaths of Peacegiver would work nicely with the Stick.
  8. I was so into these. Loved the storylines, they had so much background. I really like the original Tahu mask(can't remember the name) as far as aesthetics, but the Olmak's powers seemed the best.
  9. What about Cumberbatch as Obliteration? His voice would be perfect for the lines.
  10. TwiLyght, are you reading the edited version? Because there is a fight here that is not in my copy.
  11. That is awesome of you. Have an upvote, you deserve it. Passing up a Sanderson book you haven't read to spread this sweetness and light.... I don't know that I could do the same.
  12. I use Gak, and follow it up. I have three friends who get it(now). Storms and Sparks are my two though, for serious usage. Gak is more comedic distress. Anyone else do the alliterative author attributing when in distress?
  13. I think Banjo will have a vote. Alternatively, any of you guys remember when Banjo almost got admitted into the Northern Pantheon? Pretty sure Haley and V will end up helping Belkar out. However, it does have certain parallels with Roy's first death.
  14. True, probably would get dropped in Shinovar, but if the shark is going the same direction and speed as the highstorm, it could make it, I think. At least until it hit the Everstorm and turns into the EverHighSharkicane.
  15. Use Hemalurgy and a fish to make Swimmingly. Then run.
  16. In all seriousness, couldn't a shark actually survive flying across Roshar in a highstorm?
  17. Do that, but with Lifeless Sharks. Command? Eat People that don't have Chainsaws.
  18. That's actually a really interesting question, I think there's a WoB that says Allomancers don't actually have to ingest metals. On mobile, so I'll double-check in a bit. So, to carry on the parallels with AonDor, could an Elantrian merely touch an Aon to trigger it?
  19. Is it for sure that Spook wrote the book? I assumed it was Marsh.
  20. Hoid. Just mention Hoid and watch what happens.
  21. Sorry, forgot to check this topic. But I now bring enlightenment! You guys were right about the ones you guessed. The footboard and the earring were from Megan Whalen Turner's Thief series. If you haven't read it, go read it. Sanderson/Tolkien level worldbuilding. The gold ring was LotR. Blue sword was the Damar series by Robin McKinley. Amulet was Discworld And the sword was Redwall, one of my childhood favourites.
  22. I read multiple 1000 page books. Friend reads comics. We discuss. I read 1000 page books and comics. Friend reads comics.
  23. Axe Cop! I had no idea there were others here. Dr Mcninja as well?
  24. That's the problem, then. I'd been reading on my mobile, and thus never saw it. Thanks! Looking forward to reading it on my computer now.
