    Let me tell you a story: Lo, Ookla the Secretive began on a writing journey 2 weeks ago. He dreamed of glorious islands and a unique magic system comparable to Mistborn. He sat at the slow computer and placed his fingers on the ancient keyboard. He sang, and words filled Word. 1,000. 2,000. 5,000. 10,000. 20,000. Words galore! He sat down last night, about to finish the story and pressed the wrong key. The story, gone. The notes gone. And thus Ookla the Secretive wept.

    The thing about Christmas that really annoys me is that people try to make every little thing about Christmas perfect. The good 'ol days. There is not a day without bad stuff and pain in it. That just makes life interesting. Stop trying to control things that are not controllable.
