  1. Any nominations for Chay-shan targets? I for one nominate Stink, and here's why. There are three possible outcomes if we kill him: 1) He's telling the truth, and is neutral. In this case we lose nothing, because he hasn't really been doing anything for us, and has no incentive to do so. 2) He's a villager masquerading as neutral. Frankly, this doesn't seem likely to me, because a villager gains almost nothing from claiming neutral. 3) He's an eliminator masquerading as neutral. If he's using neutral as a cover, then perfect: we've found and killed an eliminator. Low risk, high potential for reward. Yes Stink, I know I might be intentionally denying you your win con. You knew that was a risk when you publicly claimed neutral. Thoughts?
  2. This whole game kinda strikes me as russian roulette - hopefully you don't get targeted by a super effective kill. I guess If you can figure out who you'd be effective against, then the best use of your PP would be to take them out. Of course, that only works if people post the results of their attacks in the thread.
  3. I see what you did there. Strategy is weird here. I really have no Idea who we should lynch, except to hop on the Alvron wagon, but deciding who to lynch by whoever gets voted on first is probably a bad idea.
  4. Vin also had a hemalurgic spike, which amped her power up. Savantism occurs when enough "pressure" is put on the spiritweb to cause the channels to widen and allow more power through. Spook in HoA is the most obvious example of a Savant. Savants a more powerful in their metal, and more likely to develop special tricks/uses (a coppper savant could theoretically shield other's emotions, for example). By WoB, a savant is no longer human.

  6. I'll sign up as Red (surprised nobody took it yet.). This is looking to be an interesting game.
  7. sDNA also forms the spiritweb, which creates the Hemalurgic bindpoints, among other things.
  8. Pre-post book-keeping: I'm sorry I couldn't link to Wilson's posts directly, but I couldn't figure it out and I'm on a time crunch. I'm going to getting off at four, and I won't be able to respond to things or read the thread to after rollover. @Sart I referred to myself as inexperienced because I haven't played in over a year (I think). If anyone else feels their arguments merit a response, I'll have about half an hour to do so before work. Well, here we go. Frankly, I'm very scared about the speed at which this lynch-train against me has formed, especially considering most of the votes seem to follow the logic of "Well, Wilson voted or him, and she must have a good reason. I guess I'll vote for him too." Because of that, I'm going to spend most of this post addressing her points. The first post where she expressed suspicion of me can be found here. Because of the length of the post and the fact that most of it doesn't pertain to me, I'll only quote the relevant portions. I would like to point out that this was part of a large essay of a post that was mostly focused on Elenion and his arguments as to why he was innocent. Out of the entirety of the post, I merited slightly more than a single paragraph. She then explains how I was more suspicious than Elenion, and that she would vote for me if anyone. If that was the case, then why would she write such a large post oriented against Elenion? Wouldn't I be the "better" target? In response, I sent her a PM detailing how I believed that my posts were due more credit than she was giving them, and how she was focused on two posts among a number of other ones. I also reminded her how the posts I had made were consistent with my past behavior and strategy given my strengths and weaknesses. I ended by expressing my frustration with the general situation - I was doing my best to help the village in the ways I could and was coming under fire for it. This was the phrase "What else can I do" which Wilson mentioned earlier. She responded by saying that she didn't vote for me, and that there was a fair chance she wouldn't vote at all that day. She explained that as the game went on, my motivations would become clearer, and that as long as I helped the village more than the Eliminators, she wouldn't "issue any threats." Well, here we are, one cycle later and the game hasn't really progressed a whole ton. She implied that I would have time for my motivations to become more clear, and yet has given insufficient time for that to occur. Then this cycle she made these two posts. I'll only quote the second given the lack of relevant information in the first. This is the first game I've played in which has free PM's. It did occur to me that I might get this reaction from my PM, but inexperienced as I was, I couldn't be sure. Figuring that I would never learn how to use a PM without trying it out, I went ahead and did it. Clearly, it backfired. I maintain, however, that any Eliminator vibes that come from that PM are purely from inexperience, and not from Alignment. In her post against Elenion Wilson told them that villagers do have the right to defend themselves, and that she has frequently done so "tooth and nail" herself. Yet when I take an opportunity to do so, she becomes more suspicious of me because of it. tl;dr: Wilson is reading too much into the things I've done.

  10. This is why I keep asking my manager to switch me to mornings. As it is, I've got stuff every evening during the week. If i want to come to these meetings it'll mean missing fencing practice/mutual which isn't something I'm willing to do on a regular basis. I might be able to get my shift on Friday covered, but I can't guarantee anything. As far as future meetings go, we'll have to see.
