  1. Not sure if it is just my imagination but since the update it seems like it's a little harder to catch. Even low level ones escape a couple times and I keep running out of balls!
  2. Finished Winter's Heart. It's not my favorite in the series so far but not my least either and the ending... Think I'm going to take a quick WoT break and read Sphere by Michael Crichton before the infamous CoT.
  3. I keep saying I can't wait for fall it will improve the game 100%.
  4. This game is like electronic crack... Pokemon came out a little past my time so I really knew nothing about it. My son showed me the game and now I am 5 levels above him.. The gym is ok but honestly I just like hunting for them. It's been fun getting to go out with my son just wish it wasn't 100 degrees outside all the time.
  5. Speaking of Dune I think it is possible the winner of the worst film adaptation ever. There are bad ones but it has got to be top of list.
  6. One of my favorite books.
  7. Finished Path of Daggers which (besides the fact something seemingly really bad happens to a main character at the end of the last book and then is just never addressed in this book) was a pretty good read. I think the book being a little shorter helped. Anyway I liked it more than A Crown of Swords. I have however reached the limit of my ability to keep up with all the characters besides the main ones. On to Winter's Heart.
  8. Great I'll be a hit next wedding I go to and do the chicken dance! I leave a fishbowl with three baby turtles covered in some kind of green goo.
  9. Took me about 6 months to get it. I really wish someone could convince Brandon with a little editing to publish this. I enjoyed it more than Elantris. The graphic novel is not a good enough replacement. Of course in Brandon I trust so Que Sera, Sera.
  10. That's 5 more friends I can give it to deal! I have a head does that qualify for a good use for it? I'll leave this golf ball that I took all the outer coating off of so it looks like a bunch of... Well I want it to be a surprise.
  11. Speaking WoT can someone promise me the payoff is worth it in the end Im about 75% through A Crown of Swords and it has it's good moments but man it is mostly just trying to get through the rest for the good bits. Especially most of the female POVs they make me want to headbut a rhino. The thing I'm most concerned with is everything I've seen suggest the next two books are even worst! Overall I like the story just seems like a beating to get to the meat of it.
  12. Awesome I always lose my remote but not my batteries. I'll leave my Betamax player and throw in my collection of Ferris Bueller's day off VHS tapes translated in 6 languages.
  13. I'll take them! I think I have enough breath to awaken at least a few. I'll just leave this skeleton key that opens nothing.
  14. Great I'm overflowing with soul I could use a little less! I'll just leave this thrice-locked chest as long as you promise to tell me what's in it if you get it unlocked.
  15. I haven't really read comics/graphic novels since I was a kid (I'm almost Brandon's age) so didn't know what to expect. I'm not going to say I hated it. It is nice to see something I've read come to life with pictures but I have a similar feeling when a movie adaptation is made of a book I liked. It's entertaining but not necessarily fulfilling. I will hold my full judgement until I've read all three but in a nut shell I felt that this graphic novel disproved the theory a picture is worth a thousand words. It felt EXTREMELY rushed. The other big thing was what someone else already brought up the fight scenes. Mistborn was the first Sanderson book I read and I was hooked largely by the way Brandon writes fight scenes. This was also pretty good in the prose version but to my surprise almost completely missing in this version. I was trying to imagine someone not already a huge Sanderson fan reading this and I'll be honest I can't see them continuing it. A large part of what I did like was purely from the fact I've read the prose version and could fill in the HUGE amount of gaps. Really hoping it all comes together in the end.
  16. Only 16 times? That's half new I'll take it! I trade six bazooka gum wrappers. One still containing gum. Edit: Upon closer inspection the one containing gum was just a cherry starburst.
  17. Edit Ninjed again! Great I'll name him Temeraire! I'll leave my extremely rare black with white striped zebra (In case you don't know only 1 in 1000 are black with white stripes the rest are white with black stripes).
  18. Sounds better than the Pits of Hathsin I'll take them! I'll just leave this almost 100% accurate replica of Flash Gordon's ray gun.
  19. Mars sounds great I'll bring a bag of potatoes. I will leave this half eaten Snickers bar.
  20. Edit: I was Ninjaed but mine still works. That will go great with the bottle of red I found in the bottom of the chull cart. I trade my fresh out of the mailbox Little Orphan Annie decoder ring.
  21. Only about 4 chapters in. I've heard really good things about the series maybe just wasn't in the mood at the time. Let me know what you think if you finish it!
  22. No I'm reading the books backwards. Yes prologue.
  23. I've been reading some sci fi nothing all that great. Tried Ancilary Justice and just couldn't get in to it. Finished League of Dragons it was decent. I enjoyed the first few books of the series a lot more than the last. Started A Crown of Swords again and seems to be sticking this time. I started a stopped this a few times I think it was the extremely long epilogue that I kept me from getting in to it but a few chapters in now and It is going pretty well. My goal is to finish the series this year which isn't that huge if a task but I usually read a couple books at the same time and it can get easy to get distracted.
  24. Brandon and I are almost the same age. My only fear is SA will not be complete before one of us goes to the spiritual realm.
  25. Finished The Lies of Locke Lamora. I liked it but cannot say I am compelled to continue the series. At least not right now maybe later. Started AlterWorld which I guess is a literary RPG and really like it so far. I actually gave up gaming a couple years ago it was taking over my life but find I really like books about gaming. This one is kind of like reading a persons experience from level one in a MMO. Sounds boring especially if you have never been in to MMORPG but there is a lot of nostalgia for me and it's the next best thing to gaming if you have given it up.
