  1. Che Pugeuva? Pug Guevara? thanks its... Precious to me and now I have "Shia Labeouf" stuck in my head, but with Iconoclast instead "Hiding in the woods! (it's Iconoclast!) Killing for sport! (its Iconoclast!) Eating all the bodies... (Actual cannibal Iconoclast!)" it works! Hahaha and to be fair, going off Hypno's intro, they are being killed and tortured by their Epic masters. They're just happy about it. yeah it would have been hahaha too funny XD yeah one of them might jostle her by accident.
  2. thanks its buttercup, actually. Blossom is on a roof somewhere and Bubbles was taken away by her security.
  3. It is certainly true that the information we have is open to change- but the issue is that you are saying characters have been wrong before, so maybe they are wrong about this", but that is, by itself, meaningless. We could say "maybe calamity isn't an epic, the characters might be wrong" or any other piece of information that could conceivably be revealed to be wrong in the next book. and id say that there is a bigger correlation between powers and corruption than between weaknesses and gifting. The corruption is a result of the powers, which are turned off by the weakness, revealed to be a fundamental part of Epic psychology, both individually and collectively. Gifting is a transfer of powers from Epic to vanilla, and possibly Calamity to Epic. It isn't a direct link with weaknesses like powers are. I don't see any reason for Epics ro be able to gift to a Heroes, it just doesn't make sense.
  4. I quite like this. Although, based on your last suggested caveat, I'd have to change Iconoclast's back story to fit so I'll agree with everything but that.
  5. I'm not sure- his ability seems specifically to generate power and charge things with it. Never has his ability been presented or used in a different manner. Technology-dependent powers aren't without precedent- see Curveball.
  6. also, where does this information that his weakness is dogs come from?
  7. I think she can only absorb energy when she sees the attack coming. She doesn't have any danger sense of anything, so she needs to purposefully do it each time she is attacked, I think. It seems like in this case she didn't get bored, she got cocky and was assassinated. I also think that slaves after a few months makes perfect sense- it wouldn't take long for an Epic as powerful as Converter to take over a small area with people in it and make them slaves. And she would be 20 feet up because if the grenades in the air, wouldn't she? @Silver: first off, nice opening post, i like it. But otherwise, yeah, Comatose is right about the other stuff though. It contradicts the established timeline- Rainmaker wouldn't keep talking while an Epic is killing up a storm (lol rainmaker pun). At this point, everyone has stopped, the only chaos are the people running away from the uber-Ghoul (which literally just happened). So we have two choices- you rewrite it a little so that she is confused and dazed for about two minutes (she could have been hit with tear gas as well) then she starts killing (which means she would start just after Rainmaker's speech, about the time the uber-Ghoul appears). OR, we add on a little bit at the end of yours where someone subdues her temporarily until Rainmaker is finished. Also just one little nitpick, barely anything: the only Ghoul with sharp teeth is the uber-Ghoul. Iconoclast didn't gift any of the others, so they wouldn't have the ability to change their teeth.
  8. in my opinion, it would hamper her speed half the time- the other half, she counters Rainmaker's wind by sending back an equal amount. oh I fully expect that to happen But I figure she can only deal with either Converter or the Ghoul at the same time. She could lightning them both at once, but converter would just laugh, and the Ghould has enough healing to come back from at least one bolt. Although, if Rainmaker kills it too quickly though, Iconoclast won't intervene at all.
  9. yeah, so she would alternate between stilling the gust a hair from her skin by absorbing the energy and then not being hit at all since the gust would founder before reaching her due to contradictory wind directions. Like a bullet hitting Newton deflecting and flying into a second bullet that was headed for her.
  10. hmmm, that is true. But if she absorbs the energy from the wind and then projects it into the wind facing away from her, she could deflect it completely, cancelling out the wind gust.
  11. @The Corvallis crew: With this attack on Buttercup, Iconoclast's plan is as follows: hide in the crowd until the Ghoul either wins or dies (I'm thinking it will die, although it is quick strong and tough and also has at least one death and a bit of major body damage of "regeneration energy" in it.) and by then he should have his powers back, since the Ghoul will use them so quickly. Then he will attack Buttercup himself, although I doubt he will be able to kill her (Blaze probably doesn't want her dead so quickly haha). Once the other Queens get involved, he will retreat if he can, running into the crowd and changing his appearance. If trapped, he will kill himself by altering his body to have incredibly weak bonds between molecules and throwing himself at something or someone- this will cause him to basically disintegrate. Then he will regenerate from the hand he threw into the sewer.
  12. I don't think she could use potential energy. I can't be burnt by potential fire, so she and Frostfire shouldn't be able to use potential energy Well, it would fall, be stopped completely, then fall a tinnnnnnny amount more, then be stopped completely, then fall a tiiiiiny amount more, etc etc. I think for all intents and purposes it would just stop completely, but the energy she would get after the initial stopping would be so small as to be worthless. She would just get out from under it pretty quickly anyway, I'd think.
  13. As the rioters fought the police in a brutal melee, Iconoclast watched the Queens, eager to see how they would respond. Bubbles, in her blue hoodie, didn't seem to move much at first, which Iconoclast realised was a bit strange. He hadn't seen the police behindthe stage, dammit! They were more vigilant than he had thought. Burt why were they forming around Buttercup? Surely it was Bubbles who needed their protection more than- Suddenly, "Bubbles" ripped off her hoodie and flew over the crowd, crashing into the rioters and throwing punches left and right. "What!?" Iconoclast growled, "She couldn't be- GRRRRRRAHLLL!" He realised what had happened- they had swapped outfits! Those cursed cheats! Vanillas nearby turned in alarm at his outburst, but he ignored them. Looking at the assembled Queens, some of which had moved or flown away, he could not see Bubbles. She was gone. Turning, Iconoclast made like an arrow towards Buttercup. "If I cannot have Bubbles.... I will have her!" He thought to himself. Soon he saw her, destroying his Ghouls with her strength. No matter, he could make more. Explosions roared over his head, but he did not care, just tried to get in position somewhere in the crowd behind the Head of Security in Corvallis. Losing her would certainly be a blow to Rainmaker's control, if not as much of one as losing Bubbles. Then the crowd went silent. "Hmmm... Firefly didn't tell me about whatever Epic could do that." Iconoclast thought to himself. "I'm glad my Ghouls ate him." Iconoclast looked up at Rainmaker as she began talking, idly wondering what it would feel like when he killed her. He enjoyed the challenge that High Epics posed. She turned into a cloud, apparently. "I wonder if I could vacuum her up?" He mused to himself, nearly giggling at the thought. He would need her weakness... which was never easy to obtain. He might have to just let her live. "It is my hope," Rainmaker said with a large smile, "That we can move passed all this, and build a better and brighter Corvallis together. I've done what I can. Now, it is up to you. With hard work, you can earn Euphoria's trust back, and our city can be whole again." Iconoclast smiled, teeth subconsciously growing to points, and he grabbed a nearby vanillas on the shoulder. The city whole? Not on his watch. Channeling his power, he turned the vanilla, and gifted it a large amount of his healing factor and body alteration ability. He let go, and adopted a panicked expression, screaming out "He's an Epic!" before backing away and telepathically directing the new "Epic" to attack Buttercup. Luckily, the crowd was no longer silenced, and every nearby head turned to see the Ghoul, who instinctively grew pointed teeth, huge muscles and large claws, let out an inhuman roar and leap towards Buttercup.
  14. If she absorbs all the kinetic energy of the wind, it can't hold her. Although, if she can't stop airflow around someone else, maybe she can't do it very well with herself either.
  15. Hellfire: Iconoclast: Atrophy (Credit to Voidus)
  16. So essentially, the object would lightly touch her and stop moving entirely as long as she keeps absorbing the energy.
  17. Still, what does Metal music have to do with application of downward force? Haha the mystery of his name is his next most powerful ability. Oh well, as long as he stays farrrr away I'm happy
  18. I nominate the Metal for both the "understating misnomer" and "most op power of all time" awards hahaha
  19. perhaps it is becasue his power is only indirectly dangerous? He can charge electrical things, so he can only hurt people essentially by accident, like with Sara.
  20. haha nope, just a little bit of a scrimmage. Heck I don't know if the Ghouls will be able to kill more than one or two policemen, with their protective gear, nearby Epic allies and superior numbers. But that doesn't matter, the only purpose they served was to make it look like people were attacking the police to free the rioters- which inspired others to try as well, and inspired the rioters to fight back harder. it was wonderfully depressing, I found good job!
  21. no, they don't. He has to turn everyone directly. Also remember they aren't zombies, just normal people who feel no pain and are really aggressive and murderous. They will also use simple weapons if they acquire them. In the end he only turned about 10 people.
  22. Of course you can, Winter! Early Reckoner gets the mitochondrial dna in order to sell it for production into Epic-derived tech, as I always say.
  23. anyone want Iconoclast or Hellfire if I die? if only to write Iconoclast's painful and well-deserved death
