fair enough, that quote basically confirms it. Prof can control the rate at which he heals. But still, I think that if he somehow forgot that he could heal, he would still heal, unless he was actively constraining it, which would imply he knows about the power at least subconsciously.

hmmm, that is certainly true. Although in regards to your spoiler tag: I think death might be a factor in the speed of the healing- David healed very quickly from having half his body incinerated, but Prof took some time (although we don't know for how long he had healed and was playing dead) to come back from a simple crushed skull. The one difference seems to be death in one case and living in the other, not to mention the differences that gifting might bring. It just seems strange to think that Prof could consciously hold back his healing when dead- how does he think?

I think he only did that by gifting, though, and by not being injured in the first place. I could easily be wrong, but I don't recall him ever apparently purposefully not healing from any injury. The only thing that could be similar is when he was head-crushed by Steelheart in the final battle, but I always figured that there was a delay because his healing took some time to heal the catastrophic damage he had received and resurrect him. well I obviously cannot speak for Comatose, but Corvallis at least seems to have lots of empty spaces for vanillas to slot in- sure the Queens are the heads of their respective departments, but each one would have a number of Epics and vanillas beneath them for administrative purposes and such. Most of them are completely unnamed. I think Winter named a vanilla guard or guard captain in Chases intro post, but other than that, not much.

Given his power, I doubt it. If Deathpoint could have, someone else could have, and it is implied a number tried.

Hmmm.... Sounds interesting. However, i think it would only potentially work that way for non-passive powers. So Steelheart, for instance, might placebo himself into thinking that flight is his only power, and never use energy blasts. But he couldnt mentally shut off his invulnerability like that. He doesn't choose to be invulnerable or not like he chooses to shoot energy blasts, he simply is. So to be feasible, at the least all the personalities would have to have the same passive powers (if any at all), because you cannot choose whether or not to use a passive power by definition.

Very interesting character you have there, Bridge Boy. Sounds quite scary in his "heroism".

I just wanted to ask, but did anyone know that Lucentia is "lightning" in Latin? Was that intentional, or a happy accident, haha?

Didn't the Ballooner join the attack of his own accord? C4 wouldn't know about him being here.

Iconoclast walked through the streets, not running as he had before. Despite his desire to get back to Firefly's house, sprinting through the groups of vanillas and Epics returning to their own homes would have been too conspicuous given the skirmish at the riot. He needed to remain discreet.... For now at least. Suddenly he overheard a few nearby vanillas talking about some fire Epic and energy Epic that had attacked after the "weird beast Epic" had been killed. Iconoclast's ears piqued, and he turned to the group. "More Epics? Thank Calamity I got out if there before they showed up, eh?" The vanillas turned to him. "You sure are! One nearly got Robbie here. Well, thank goodness Rainmaker and her Queens killed that fire Epic and trapped the other." Interesting.... An energy Epic could make a useful ally. Iconoclast faked a smile and nodded, before leaving the conversation. It took at least an hour to get back to the house. So many vanillas around, but he resisted the urge to kill or turn them. That was for tomorrow. Tomorrow, he would release the ghouls in his cellar and go out to those fields. The field workers he had passed looked like the type that would need a little more.... Freedom. Thry would be the first to rebel against Rainmaker and her tyranny. He would help them. "I'm such a good Epic" Iconoclast said aloud to himself, as he opened the door. Settling into Firefly's former bedroom, Iconoclast fell fast asleep, smiling at the thoughts of how many people he could kill tomorrow.

Yeah its probably better if he shares his characters with someone else- that way we can continue playing even if he is unavailable through no fault of his own.

it would be ironic indeed if something Arsenal does is what leads to the destruction of the Dalles.

I think it was a fascinating look at Arsenal. He was this close to going from "grumpy old guy" to "brutal sociopathic Epic".

In the Reckoners RP we've been working under the theory that all weaknesses were caused by a single traumatic event. This revelation about Regalia, however, widens that- since Brandon didn't even imply that there was a single event that caused this fear, I think we can theorise that Regalia simply obsessed over being right to such a degree that it became a major character flaw, and then her weakness.

Lesson for the Wrangler- stay away from Alaska and powerful weather Epics.

Which is why simply animal control is so much less OP than necromancy. Undead caribou could shrug off most gunshots until they fall apart. Living caribou might be immunized against pain by the mind control, but they can still be killed like a normal living creature. issue is, they could survive that perhaps, and be revived or somesuch if their bodies didn't explode.

And Orange Crush (or anyone, for that matter), at a glance would think "well that is some seriously undead caribou all up in there" so that thought of his doesn't need to be retconned or anything

Actually yeah, now i remember- when David sees Megan in the final battle in Steelheart, someone says or thinks that there are no known Epics who can bring people back to life. If you want to keep Wrangler canon though, how about some alterations? Instead of raising dead animals, he can mind control them (but a limited number, to keep him not-OP, perhaps), but the animals waste away because of his power. So they look rotted and dead, but in reality they are alive and mind-controlled.
