  1. Hello Sharders! I made a map of the distribution of Epics across the United States, working on average. This uses the Brandon-supplied ratio of 1:10'000 Epics at the beginning, and my own surmised ratio of 1:100 High Epic/Epic ratio Its spoilered because it is a bit big Some interesting results, now that one can see the map and the numbers laid out like this. In regards to Newcago (with 1000 Epics and 10-15 High Epics) it seems like it simply has all the Epics in Illinois, minus a few that were killed in turf wars and the Collapse before Steelheart solidified his control over Newcago. Alaska seems to have statistically between 1 and no High Epics at all, so Khione must be the only one California is swimming in Epics though! 3880! and 38 Highs!
  2. Fellow RPers! I have taken a map of the United States and placed on it how many Epics and High Epics on average would have manifested powers in each state (assuming the Brandon-supplied ratio of 1:10'000 for Epics and my assumed ratio of 1:100 High Epics/Epics). Its spoilered because it is a bit big Some interesting results, now that one can see the map and the numbers laid out like this. 3. I was thinking only one fight at a time, so that Soulcaster and the others can watch them all? I'll write him I think. And Winter can commentate haha
  4. How about Lady Deathskull has her fight after Substance has his? I'm thinking she can fight Hollowman, an Epic who can turn invisible and shoot blasts of energy.
  5. I suppose IKs are ok in this setting as long as we just don't utilise them as IKs. Smasher for instance can squish with his forcefields, but doesn't because of sportsmanship.
  6. Remington Springfield doesn't swim, water just takes him where he wants to go. Remington Springfield doesn't need to eat, food just really wants to be eaten by him so he generously obliges. Remington Springfield doesn't win fights, he just allows his enemies to lose.
  7. Remington Springfield doesnt take cover, cover springs to his defence
  8. True, but guns have a chance of missing. A pretty good chance, even.
  9. sounds very interesting. Although I agree with Mcdee that it would be an IK (Instant Kill i think) in most situations. A super-strong punch that automatically hits from a distance? Quite powerful against anyone who isn't super-strong or has a PI. I think that a limiting factor should be added. A few humble suggestions: -remove his super strength (but not his super toughness if you want him to have some defensive measures) so that the punches are normal, but don't hurt him -make them transmit through the air in a form of shockwave, so they can be blocked, and be somewhat slow (so instead of hitting instantly or as fast as a bullet, it can be seen and stopped or dodged if the person is fast enough.
  10. Princess Good seems interesting. Rainmaker would probably want her nearby at all time to beautify her haha. Would even have been on the stage in the prologue most likely. the beautification is more of a perception thing, is it? So whoever looks at something ir someone who is being beautified would see them as they are normally, but consider it more beautiful? Or actual physical changes?
  11. Not at all! I like it. Seems quite powerful, even if he is squishy. And very creative. how do people other than him perceive the squished space/land/people? How do the squished people view it? When you say "the smaller the object, the denser it is", do you mean that the mass of objects doesn't change when he uses his power on them, just their size? Do people die if he expands/shrinks them enough, or is their body "preserved" so that when he stops focusing, they return to normal as if nothing had happened? Does this require touch? If not, what is the range? Just a few questions for clarity And welcome to the RP!
  12. @Snote: I think that it is entirely possible that could be a weakness. Those are some good points as well. The only issue I have other than what Illuminati said is that that seems like an ill-fitting weakness for Prof. He is a humble man, mostly. It doesn't feel tight that his greatest fear is an issue of arrogance and vanity, you know? @Illuminati: I like your chance idea- if he had a gambling problem in the past and such, perhaps his greatest fear is going back to that? Not sure what the exact weakness would be, but that would be an interesting trauma.
  13. But even still, David only told him the nightmare-fear-weakness link. Which seems strange that he hadn't figured it out yet. Although, he seemed to think that his nightmares were visions from god or something, so maybe this was just a revelation that other Epics have nightmares that are their fears as well. David didn't say that facing your fear removed the weakness or the corruption- he didn't even know. Seems like if Obliteration wanted to face his greatest fear which was also his weakness, he would have already. Although, maybe he didn't know his weakness at all, thus never making the nightmare-weakness connection (that Megan easily did).
  14. Probably emerges from his skin. Imagine like sweating, but sweating enough to form a thick and powerful stream of water entirely from your palm.
  15. @Coma: in regards to eventually freeing Converter, I think it will have to be Insight who does it. Iconoclast couldn't get through those defenses even if he tried, and Phoenix is being watched to closely to I think. I also think Converter would just freeze. She was only immune to the cold while she had energy heating her up, and she will bleed it all soonish, since she can't hold energy for long.
  16. That is true, I hadn't been thinking of these worlds as pure illusion. But after all, that is all they are, isn't it? In that cases, weaknesses wouldn't work unless the Epic potentially placebo'd themselves into thinking it did. But they shouldn't since they would know that weaknesses don't work in the dream world.
  17. I'd love to, at some point probably. Maybe some of the upper classes who are less likely to be killed by Epics or possibly to have seen the worst of Epic action might be interested, but mostly probably just Epics. I think Epics would be very hesitant if there was a large enough chance that there weakness would be revealed. Imagine it- Epics are so insanely paranoid about their weakness that Mitosis is willing to kill everyone in Newcago on the off chance that they know his weakness. Steelheart is so paranoid that he does everything in a different room each day, surrounds himself with defences and has propaganda brigades spreading tales of his evil, just on the off chance that someone who doesn't fear the most well-known and powerful Epic on earth happens to attack him. Epics are super paranoid. Imagine an Epic's weakness being discovered by chance during a match, and televised the world over. Suddenly their weakness is out there and they cannot track down and kill everyone who knows it. I think they would be enraged enough to go on a rampage when they exit the Dreamstate and that is not good for anyone. I think that we should retcon our plans a bit and make it so weaknesses do not work in the Dreamstate. After all, Soulcaster can manipulate every aspect of it already. And if he can manipulate and change powers, he can always set up matches with High Epics in a way that is still fun, or remove their PI's while in the Dreamstate. IT just occurred to me that Epics would be wary about being sent into areas that could contain anything, even their weakness, and they would have no way of controlling their exposure to it. And seeing other Epics get their weaknesses revealed on TV would probably be seen as too great a risk that no-one could counter without revealing their weakness to Soulcaster. Heatjump? Heartburn? Flamehopper?
  18. Destroy somewhere else i hope XD
  19. Hahaha you are funny that's one if the things this thread is for- planning and working out how our characters for in with the story. Would Substance sign up to any fights, or just watch?
  20. I might as well post an Iconoclast dream sequence when I get to my computer.
