  1. and Sourcefield completely covered herself head-to-toe, as did Refractionary. So thankfully I don't think that is a thing.
  2. Meatball to the rescue!
  3. Or better yet, an Epic named Meatball. She bounces around, grossing everyone out and crashing into them with the weight of a person crushed into baseball size. Her one goal- get revenge on Megan for killing Sam and Prof for killing Exel. Does not accept that she is actually a meatball, and still thinks she is a person. Can communicate telepathically and move herself telekinetically.
  4. Well Iconcolast tends to reduce any clothes he is wearing to rags pretty quickly, and he usually adopts a fit, handsome, well-toned body, so you wouldn't be inaccurate imagining him that way although the blood, claws and fangs are probably turn-offs to most people
  5. I doubt Valentine would be an Epic, she sort of got squished in Firefight after all. and just because she gets angry and irrational sometimes doesn't make her an Epic- it makes her a human who has had a hard life and experienced loss in a bad way.
  6. I love Taylor :') ah, fair enough.
  7. they just have to fly to be able to avoid falling into the centre of the planet haha Insight could always just choose not to fly traditionally, and just walk.
  8. That would be a pretty powerful ability
  9. I've wondered that too. I always pronounce it "Kosh-EYE", but that is probably wrong.
  10. cool the issue with drugging is how they would do it. A gas would work i guess. But once they've trapped her, why bother drugging? And if Insight is involved, we don't need to help at all, he can just get her and leave with no trouble.
  11. I would love to see Buttercup and Iconoclast get in a fight at one stage. She is probably stronger than he could alter his body to be (he can only add and strengthen muscle to a certain point after all), and she is tough, but he has his healing and other modifications. Would be an interesting duel, I think.
  12. Fair enough good philosophy to have. I like the idea of roleplaying with a relatively weak Epic- which is something i obviously haven't done so far maybe later.
  13. Likely the whole thing is used for government and administration purposes. Tracking supplies, logistics, epics in the city and their powers, power, sewage, the lot. Running a city must be a lot of work when you are centrally controlling and planning the entire distribution and exchange system.
  14. I don't know, but by this logic we could do whatever we like because we have limited examples and things we "knew" about Epics have already been changed massively by Firefight. We could just break canon left and right and say "well we only have X number of examples, I see no reason it couldn't be different". It just seems to me that the way gifting is talked about "X Epic is a gifter" not, "X Epic possessed giftable powers" that an Epic is either a gifter or not. And heck maybe in Calamity or in an AMA it will be confirmed for sure that gifters can only have all their powers giftable or none, and then his character will be canon-breaking although to be fair that wouldn't be the first time haha
  15. the only issue I really have with this is that I'm not sure gifting works that way mechanically- either you are a gifter and can gift all your powers, or just one or more in different amounts, or you are not a gifter. Its binary. Either you are an elephant, or you are a lion. You can't be a bit of both. would you mind if one/some of us took your characters while you are away? obviously we wouldn't kill them or do anything outrageous, but we should work something out so the action doesn't completely pause over that time
  16. I imagine the dream worlds would be much like our own, but perhaps with a surreal, ephemereal quality. So say, battle would be "staged" in cities and areas across the country and world, just devoid of people.
  17. actually he is a High Epic because he warps air around him so that anything coming at him from once side teleports/moves to the other but i like the ideas for his primary power
  18. fair enough, I like this way too. It only brings issues when we have complicated powers (as we found out during the Destructor fight) and we need to work out together how they work, but a PM should be fine, especially if we clear it all with the other player first. me too Although if we did fights between Epics without PI's (or without perfect PI's, at least), then we could avoid the need for weaknesses. Iconoclast would be happy to kill/ghoulify any guards in the way. Heck, once he hears about this Epic stuck in the field he will go there tomorrow for sure. Iconoclast is willing to form loose, temporary alliances with other Epics, as long as their goal (short-term, at least) is to cause destruction and chaos. With IcyHot and Resistor, yeah, that will be an issue, because if they are there Icon has no reason not to rip their heads off haha but if you like, he can always only wound them in his haste? Or think he has killed them? trying to manipulate Iconoclast is like trying to control the way a fire burns down a building but he can try, at least haha I like the idea of attacking the power plant to get heaps of power- that much power in one hit could cause a loooot of damage Although Iconoclast for one wouldn't hole up anywhere out in the open as a base. The other two might, but he will want to be free to move around and create ghoul massacres all over the city at will. hello Glamdring, welcome to the RP! Basically, this thread is for planning. Usually before we open up a new What Happened city we all discuss it, usually it starts with a cool idea or concept, and after a while we decide that we have enough ideas and inspiration to open the thread and get going. Then we plan all the action is each thread in these Question threads. I've read your post, and I quite like it. The issue is that you've just broken protocol a bit. Usually when a new player arrives, they tell us what their Epic idea is, and we discuss with them which city we/they think their Epic will fit best. So it sounds like your character is from Boise, and just decided to teleport to Oregon, right? That's cool, we can now just talk a bit about where you would want to teleport to (whether to the city itself, or to somewhere nearby and then go there). Then once we decide, you can move your post to the matching thread, and that can be your intro post.
  19. We can sustain it ourselves when we feel like Epic fights I for one would love to engage in awesome Epic fights for the foreseeable future. how would we structure the fights? Have participants do it via PM and collab docs and then post?
  20. in all likelihood yes what do you mean?
  21. Hmmm I was thinking of a character called Deathgrip that is telekinetic, but only on a large-ish scale (he can't manipulate fine things). That could be cool, if this dream-world had enough things for him to throw around.
  22. that is true. So would there be any specific places of power infrastructure Iconoclast (or the dream-team Converterclastix) could target to kill power, if only temporarily? Doesn't sound like it, unfortunately Would all the generators just be housed in one building/area and connected to the grid? Or spread out?
  23. bah! age is just a number! Winter couldn't be that much older, could he?
