  1. Here's why I vote on the first day: To generate discussion. We do need more discussion in this game. There's a lot of PM's and docs in this game, and the main thread does need to be talked in. To manipulate votes to see how the eliminators react. In this game, there are so many different factions and goals, almost none of which I know, there's no way for me to tell who's in Rayse's gang. So that villagers have a chance to get ahead. In most games, if villagers don't do anything D1, the eliminators kill someone N2, and they're back where they started, but with one less villager. In this game, I'm not sure if the "eliminators" have a kill at all. And there's so many win conditions going around, I don't think we can separate people into "villager" and "eliminator" There's a chance of hitting a eliminator: As I said before, people aren't divided into eliminators and villagers in this game. But even if they were, there's no way to tell if we hit an eliminator or not. (excluding individual abilities) So in this game, I don't have the same reasons to vote as in other games. And my goals my not be connected to killing specific people, so I really don't have much of a reason to vote. But I'll talk all you like. And if I vote on someone this cycle, and it turns out that I've killed someone who doesn't have the evil tag, you may call me out on it all you like, stink.
  2. What I meant by "The [evil] faction doesn't have a doc," is that I don't think all [evil] characters are in the same doc. I doubt that The Lord Ruler is in the same faction as Odium. Exactly. [Evil] doesn't mean eliminator, it's just a keyword. By the way, my normal SE policy is to always vote on the first day turn, because it gives info about who the eliminators are. I might not do that this turn, because roles aren't revealed on death. In addition, there are so many different goals, I don't think I could catch anyone out by their lynch patterns.
  3. Sure, we could do that. I'm gonna hazard a wild guess and say that most people get a benefit from their home planet anyways. (Such as having glass spheres to charge on Roshar) But as for the part of the plan about separating [evils] from normals, I'm not sure what the point is. This isn't a standard elimination game, [evils] are the ones that can be killed by nightblood. So [evils] in this game seem to be easier to kill than normals, rather than harder. [Evils] don't have a doc to conspire in, and probably don't have a group kill. Therefore, [evils] are not eliminators. In addition, the "follow and report" action doesn't seem to be as useful as you make it out to be. What if someone on Nalthis is a drab? What if they don't have any items with no investiture? What if they just report that their target used awakening? However, If you are in a faction, such as Kelsier's gang, and your goal is to kill the Lord Ruler, knowing that the Lord Ruler is from Scadrial is quite helpful. You just kill everyone on Scadrial who isn't in your gang. Therefore, worldhopping back to original planets is helpful for factions who want to kill a specific person, but not helpful for people who want to avoid being killed. So if you want a bonus from your planet, or if you want to kill a specific person, by all means go to your home planet. But if you want to avoid being targeted for no reason other than being in the wrong place, or if you want your faction to gain information from other planets, spread out.

  5. This...looks awesome. I wish I could give two upvotes. Sign me up as Spike. Edit: There are potentially 79 different actions you can do! I'm gonna find a bunch of Nyali's other posts and upvote them. This is just too awesome.
  6. Just one problem with that idea: Scenario 1: Mark is a villager. The eliminators overturn the vote and make us single-mindedly determined next cycle. We know they have awakened clothing and the game is suddenly in their favor. We start looking for plans that can still let us win. Scenario 2: Mark is a villager. The eliminators let him die. We are none the wiser, and we keep on meandering along with no idea of the eliminators strategy. We don't buy rope, and we probably lynch Araris next cycle. But if we do manage to get our hands on an eliminator, they can just enact their plan then. There's nothing stopping them from doing so, and now they're a cycle ahead. My point is, if Mark was a villager, the eliminators have no reason whatsoever to reveal their hand this cycle. It shows us what they're up to with no benefit to them.
  7. If we vote tomorrow, we have to vote only on Mark. The problem is, awakened clothing costs one breath. I think with 8 breath having been stolen on the first night, the eliminators have enough to quench all our votes. We have only two ways to win. I see no problem with sharing this info because the eliminators have likely discussed it in their doc: Buy awakened rope and roleblock all the eliminators, then lynch them all. Buy lifeless rabbits and kill them all. Of these plans, I prefer the first, because awakened rope can be thrown around indiscriminately, and it doesn't matter whether you hit a villager or an eliminator. If we all vote for Mark tomorrow, in order to lynch someone else, the eliminators will need to cancel our votes and vote on someone else, possibly exposing one of their own. If enough of them have been hit by awakened rope, we might be able to lynch him. But to be honest, at this point, it looks pretty hopeless without the rope. The eliminators can cancel all our eliminator votes if they're not roleblocked, and they can kill one of us each night. If you have enough breath to do so safely, buy rope. If you don't, enter the lottery.
  8. You're really reaching there, Meta. Regardless, I agree with you. Mark was fairly high on my priority list as well, because of his vote placement on D1. He sent me a PM as well, but mostly just talked about how the eliminators probably entered the lottery. Who else got a PM from Mark, and was anything important shared?
  9. Here's my philosophy: The villagers have no info D1. The eliminators have all the info. Therefore, the lynch will be steered toward a villager. So I think Magestar is innocent. Just thinking meta was normal and missing that someone lost breath doesn't seem like strong evidence that he's an eliminator. Neither does not talking about the lynch during the night cycle. I'm voting for Araris, because after lynching one of the two villager candidates, he switched to the other one immediately at the beginning of the next night cycle. His reasoning for voting for bugsy was that he was suspicious of him, and would rather he die than have a coinflip. Fair enough, but if bugsy is innocent, why would that mean that mage is guilty? Edit: Araris and AliasSheep, how do you tell if a post is "Villagerey" or not? An Elim can make villager posts, just like a village can make Elim posts. I can say, "So I was talking with some other people in a ... PM ... and we decided that the best thing the villagers could do is to not vote on anybody. That way, we'll be forced to vote on people if we want to lynch them, so you'll know who w- the Elim are. It can't hurt to try it for just a cycle or two." But a villager could say that. So could an incredibly poor eliminator. You can judge whether a post is villager or not if it contradicts knowledge you know is true, or if they vote for someone you're pretty sure is a villager. But commentary about the game can be made by anyone.
  10. This has been a terrible first day so far. 36 hours in and only Meta, Doc, and Magestar have been voted on. I get the feeling that free PMs give people the impression that they don't need to be active in thread because they're still spreading info in their limited circles. But remember, that villager you're in a PM with might be an eliminator. If you have a suspicion, voice it in the thread. There hasn't been much discussion so far, so I'm gonna spread a few votes around to see what happens. Twei, you should vote for someone. Young Bard, I like your plan, but it requires villagers to be willing to give up their breaths. Very few people are likely to do that, especially since a WGG was brought up. So the orange vote won't really tell us anything. In addition, this has been brought up in the thread a few times, but I think I need to repeat it: The eliminators almost certainly have a lifeless rabbit. This means 2 kills per cycle. We can't beat them unless we start throwing some votes around to see how people react. D1 lynches have been brought up before, and here's what I've found: D1 lynches show us how people react in a way that the eliminator kill doesn't. When we lynch someone D1, that gives us control over how the eliminators act. If we don't lynch someone D1, the eliminators kill someone and we're left no better than before. So let's start lynching people! Get that information flowing!
  11. I'm in! Sign me up as Plathar Ku. Does entering the lottery take a breath? Is there any reason not to enter the lottery? I see, limited actions. To clarify, the possible actions are deposit breath, withdraw breath, use item, enter the lottery, or take breath, right? What are the stances on PM's?
  12. Do we have 3 kind soothers?
  13. Well, I would have, but Orlok tipped the scales. Maybe some kind soother will take pity on me. Kipper. Mailliw. edit: Maybe two kind soothers will take pity on me.
  14. Work it out in the doc, folks. And if you can't find a doc, try PM's, which I think is reasonable given that this isn't game-relevant.
  15. ...okay. This is interesting. Kipper. Mailliw.
  16. Kipper. Maill. Nullified.
  17. ...This should be interesting. Can we get it up to a 5-way tie?
  18. Kipper's probably the best option.
  19. ...But I don't think Mailliw is guilty. And I don't think piling more votes onto the same two people will help much. I mean, I guess it could show which of the two of us is more popular, but that's not really game-relevant. I've voiced my suspicions of Elodin, but since it looks like he's not getting lynched, I'll switch to Alvron, Dowanx, or Silverdragon. I think we need as many active people as possible if we want to find the spiked, and voting on them will be a reminder to be more active.
  20. ...because you think I'm a strong player or a coinshot? Because you think I started as the inquisitor? Or because the inquisitor doesn't matter and you're just aiming for other factions? Edit in response to mailliw's edit: Elodin joked he was a coinshot. Therefore, he's a suspected coinshot. Therefore, I think he was converted.
  21. Who will the inquisitor convert? Strong players and suspected coinshots. Even if they don't start with a steel spike, they'll likely end up with a coinshot.
  22. Nyali explained it exactly. In MR7, discovery had no way to make a kill. In this game, they can both kill and convert.
  23. That makes 6 people voting on me, I think. But no, this isn't a bandwagon. This is a perfectly logical train of events. Let's see what led up to it: I said I thought Elodin might have been converted because of his joke post. Problem is, I phrased it as, "If I were the inquisitor," which makes people more likely to vote on me. Elodin had his great parody in which he pointed out that Aman was more likely to be lynched than me. Afterwards, I questioned the votes on me, reaffirming my vote on Elodin. Elodin then voted on me because I continued to vote for him even though he hadn't voted for me, and had put me in his song. More people voted on me because they were rather high on in votes themselves, and didn't want to be lynched. Also, I'm not in their house, which makes it okay. These are logical reasons that I'm being voted on, sure. But are they good reasons? Do these statements point towards me being spiked? No. When the inquisitor posts, he always remembers that he's the inquisitor. That being said, he would try to make posts that don't remind people of his existence. I think a normal person would be more likely to make a post like this than the inquisitor would. No. Elodin put me in his song. So? I kept my vote because I think his joking post was a mistake which would make the inquisitor target him. Nothing against him, he's just my top suspect. But if putting people in parodies helps... 3. No. May I remind people that this is not MR7? The eliminators have a way to kill, they can target the strongest people to convert, and they are much more difficult to out. They're meant to be eliminators. Let me remind you of the inquisitor's win con: To eliminate all non-spiked players. Joe, that may mess with your plan of only 1 person left from each faction. If you want to fulfill that plan, you need to take out the spiked players first. If you think I'm a spiked player, then go ahead and vote for me. But so far, I've seen nobody pointing out why I might be spiked. Until you have a reason, please vote for someone you actually suspect and stop the pileups that the eliminators so love.
