  1. ... are we all still alive?
  2. I walk over to join Eerongal, greeting him with a nod. I overhear the vagrant telling him about Ambro's boat. "Get any information on the location we're supposed to go to?" I ask Eero. "If it isn't too far, I have some business I'd like to take care of."
  3. hey, what's the difference between a Global Mod and a regular Mod? a.k.a. Why is Eerongal special?
  4. "Tohu... I'm not letting this Grid out of my sight. I hate to be a stereotypical Spheremorph, but this Grid..." I'm going to sound like a crazy man here "...is special. I found it in the desert, buried in some ancient ruins. I have to think, since it has been buried for so long, this Grid, Mount, and Sphere set means something. "I have to meet up with some of my companions and leave soon. With any luck, we will be able to leave tonight instead of immediately. If that is the case I'll be back shortly. If it is not... well, I'll try to do it on my own." I turn to leave, taking my Mount, Grid and Spheres with me, assembling them on the fly before I exit Tohu's shop, going to look for Eerongal or Ambrosius near the market area.
  5. I think that's what north is trying to get at. is it the sloping mass of rock debris at the base of a cliff, or is it the bone of the ankle?
  6. Silly question, since they seem to live in a desert, but if the sun makes them stronger, wouldn't they try to find a way to survive out there and make the most of their unique genetics? And now all I can think of is the Bionic Man; "better, stronger, faster."
  7. Just in case this didn't register the first time:
  8. damnation, didn't think the process would be so lengthy. I need to find out if I have that much free time. Better find Eero or Ambro. "I would like to stay and observe, but I have to be somewhere very soon, and it would be... awkward if I showed up without being fully capable of Morphing. Perhaps I could come back later and observe the process. If I were to ask for directions to this smithy, who would I be asking for? All this time, and I don't even know your name." Moving to leave, I put the Spheres back in the Grid and the Grid back in the Mount, donning it and my Shaman's mantle. I also gather up the Fuser, hoping that even if I can't come back to this smithy another one somewhere could do the same thing.
  9. Wow, Feather... this is good. Like, scary good. i could see a fantasy world based around this people... but I'm not going to warp your creation. I'm curious as to how the sun makes the Jaiseti stronger and faster. And is "Graceleaf" analogous to real world aloe?
  10. /Shamelessplug You could join Nexus instead? still RPing, but we aren't quite as intimidating as the Mistborn RP (in my opinion, anyway). Just mosey on down to the RP forums and say hi. As to the "too much time" thing, we barely even hit a post a day, so... definitely not a time sink. /endshamelessplug
  11. As of right now, Vin's down by close to 400 votes. We can do this!
  12. If an Elantrian tattooed another Elantrian with the Aon Rao, would the Elantrian with the tattoo be of equal power, no matter where he went, to Elantrians close to the city of Elantris?
  13. But why cut such stone-like creatures, rather than smash them to itty-bitty pieces, I guess is what I'm trying to get at.
  14. Wasn't quite sure where to put this, but while looking through the Brandonothology I found this quote: Emphasis mine Now, we already know Dalinar has used his Shardblade in this way, but that they were designed to do so brings up an interesting point. Why a Blade, instead of something like a hammer, which would break stones into smaller pieces and batter steel? Also of note is that they were not designed to cut though flesh or, I think we can assume, the 'soul' of Rosharian humans. Thoughts?

  18. hmmm... maybe a chemist of the literal variety would help me more in that regard, then. and I'll talk to Aloi about magisteel at some point; he's a smith, he should know where to get it. "Thank you for your assistance, fair spheresmith. Can we get my Grid set up to use this Fuser between my Shaman and Gunner Spheres, with the Engineer next to Gunner? I would do it myself, but I'm unsure of how to attach the Fuser. I'd also like to learn how to attach and remove that piece, in case I get new Spheres or want to change which Forms Fuse." Huh... I've spent a good ten minutes here with this smith, and i don't think I know his name.
  19. question on Fusers that wouldn't apply to me. on Eerongal's Glorious Sunburst (or something like it), would the Fused Form become part of the Baseline? because otherwise I'm not seeing any way to make an amalgam Form. Also, I'm planning on putting the Fuser between my Shaman and gunner Spheres, so I was thinking of abilities like so: Fire Shot (from Rapid shot and Fire) Seeker Shot (from Finding {"find the head of the nearest enemy} and Aim, incurs Mageprice) Precise Throw (dagger proficiency with Precision Shot) Blinding Shot (Coldfire and Charged Shot, would temporarily blind like a bright light) Would these be overstepping the abilities of an amalgam Form?

  24. Twinborn Gold... that would be useful. More health stores, and all. Ah well, no use fantasizing about it just yet. "Is there any way I could get the right items or tools? I'd love to see what something like this could do, operating at it's fullest potential." The blacksmith seems like a font of knowledge, but i know that Eerongal and Ambrosius are waiting for me, even if they don't know where I went. At some point, I'm going to have to track this conversation towards the West Plain, but for right now this is really interesting. "And how exactly does it work, raw mechanics wise? Could you, or me if I learned how, make one of these from raw materials?"
