Went on a bit of a Jim Butcher bender this weekend. Read Side Jobs, then reread White Night, Small Favor, Turn Coat and Changes. Soon to be followed with Simon R. Green's Secret Histories series and maybe a few Deathstalker novels.

You don't know that. Transformers are an item on the mechanical food chain. I was more trying to say that if you know it's real, you can't draw it out. Yeah, I'm altering the rules a little. at this point JL doesn't know if a lioncopter transformer is real, so he can draw it and summon it. but since he knows, beyond a shadow of a doubt, this tigerplanes are real, he can't summon it and trying to would burn a page. I'm actually kind of a fan of this style of Form. I was thinking more along the lines of Dalinar going rock-cutting in Way of Kings. yes it could be used for combat, but the utilitarian applications are nice too. and now I've got another Form spark...

I was more trying to get players to use their imagination when it comes to making creatures, so I guess the more accurate way of saying it would be "drawing creatures you know to be real makes the page useless." ex: if Jay'el ever got a Cartoonist Sphere and he tried to draw the tigerplane transformer, it's outline would be burned into the page. but if he made a, i don't know, lioncopter transformer, it would work.

I'm going to go with yes and no. Like most Form weaponry, the sketchbook is something that comes with the Form. So different Spheremorphs will have different sketchpads. BUT, if a Spheremorph has both a Scribbler and a Cartoonist Formsphere, they would use the same sketchbook. However, while in the Cartoonist Form they can't use the Scribbler's reality-altering abilities, and while in Scribbler they can't summon Cartoonist creatures. Iriscriptor-it's a pretty name, but i'm not sure the writing component fits with the abilities. And now you sparked another Form. Heh, this could be interesting... Another idea i had was something like Gold Chemist, but for others. I think it could be an evolution of both Chemist and White Mage so it would look something like this: White Mage -> Form X Chemist (Gold) -> Form X I think this is a bit of a gimp to the White Mage portion unless it also works for the Spheremorph as well. so you could store anyone's health in gold, and use it as needed on whomever. contact would be a must.... Really the only reason I put this on here before it's fully fleshed out is so Silus can tell me whether or not it's legit.

Got him. I fire Overload at the exposed electronics of the weakened leg, followed by a quick Incinerate to another. The sound of pistol shots ring out as the beast continues its charge. judging by its rate of speed

I execute the return-to-origin command on my Drone, and then quickly launch another Cryo Burst at an uninjured leg, hoping to cripple the beast further. I check the Hack again, along with Incinerate. Backing up slowly, I line up more pistol shots with the beast

I roll out of bed, grabbing my clothes and putting them on as I do. My shirt feels tight after the freedom of sleep, but it focuses me, prepping me for battle.

I might also toss Returned into Net + and whatever Nightblood is into Net -, because of their natures. As far as we know, there's no way for Nightblood's thousand Breaths to come out and be reused, and Returned are granted one single huge Breath that seems to come out of nowhere. Maybe my logic is screwy, but it seems to make sense.

Agreed to Crook of the Plains as a meeting place. I'll start out with one of the wandering tribes of the Machine Desert. As to why we're traveling together... well, it could be a Mageprice for a Finding spell... More likely, Jay'el cast Finding for a way to make Spheremounts like the ancients, and that was his Mageprice: go to CotP and sit in certain inn, or some such. Seems a bit contrived, but hey.

I wouldn't mind meeting up with everyone. Due to the way my character's backstory is laid out, I sort of have to start out in the Machine Desert, though.
