  1. It's possible that Neo is a CC, I haven't really been watching too closely. I do have my suspicions about Shallan though, so hopefully my poke vote will get a response, and if nobody else has any worries about her(?) then no harm done.
  2. Well. My suspicion of last station was killed. And he was innocent. That's awkward. Not really sure who to vote on this time, lots of possibilities, but not feeling too strongly about any of them. I'm probably going to just sit here for a while, and just see what new evidence comes up. Probably leaning towards Orlok, but I'll see how discussion goes first. Also, this is my first game, so I might just not know what I'm doing, but I thought the individual car threads were for simply discussing the action to take in that thread. Are we supposed to be saying our ideas and theories in there as well? Edit: Also probably going to bid on the assassin this round. Better that we get it then the CC's do. Anyone specific you want me to target with him/her/it?
  3. This might be derailing the conversation, (pardon the pun) but I've been thinking. In the first station, both Meta and Adamir were what people said were suspicious. But then everyone removed their votes from them, because they were afraid of jumping on the "bandwagon," or because they weren't sure about their suspicions. It seems to me that they still acted suspicious, and I'm going to place my vote on Meta. We can't say, okay, that person's suspicious, but I won't do anything about it. The reason we have suspicions is to nail down the CC's. If we notice something suspicious, but don't act on it, that pretty much gives the CC's free reign!
  4. I was in the caboose yesterday, and it was pretty much random. I think only one or two people voted, and they chose Bort for no reason. As well as, if I remember correctly, Adamir wasn't in the caboose, and there's no way for the cultists to talk to each other. So Bort getting chucked was random chance, and had nothing to do with Adamir. But I do think that Adamir is defending himself very strongly, possibly too much. I'll keep my vote on Clanky for now, but I am suspicious. I think we need to keep a close eye on Adamir.
  5. Apologies for not posting yesterday, but I should be active for the rest of thew week. With that out of the way: Everton Slade kept a close eye on Clanky. He was the first one to speak up and accuse someone. And as Slade had learned over the years, the first one to accuse someone else is often the person trying to be accused. He would be watching him closely, and if no other information came to light, that was his first choice for the coinshot clan member. "The quicker we finish off those confounded bandits," Slade mumbled to himself, "The sooner we can resume our peaceful ride." Let me know if this is how you vote for someone.
  6. Very small library where I live, only has a few of Brandons books. WoK, and the last three WoT books. which do me no good, without the first 10. And I saw those books a few years back, so I don't know if they still have them or not. With anywhere from 2 to 4 little ones mroe than happy to rip, shred, drool, devour, etc. books, we don't go to the library much.
  7. Yeah, it's just between paying $2 for the book on kindle, tied to my dads account, or pay 1 credit I believe, (which my Dad is occasionally looking for ways to spend anyway.) and get it on any device I want. Also waiting to get Legion and Legion: Skin Deep by same method.
  8. I don't have a kindle. Or any amazon thingy. Or an Amazon account. I'm hoping I can convince my Dad to get it on Audible sometime.
  9. I've...... Never actually read Mitosis. I really want to though.
  10. Now, just for kicks, I really want to make a clown epic. He can clone himself, teleport, cackle REALLY loudly, and summon bombs from nowhere.
  11. I don't think I need to post his weakness, because Thoron's pretty much just going to pummel him to death anyway.
  12. Yeah, my redshirt epic, the metal doesn't really protect him. Think about it. You have epics who have telekinesis, mind control, heat producing, firing laser beams from hands, and turning his body into METAL will help him? He uses it to fortify himself against blueberries and strengthening his hand for punches. Turning his entire body into metal would just mean he would get half of it blasted, melted, or bent to the point of non-usability. He uses the power rarely, and almost never in fights. On a different note, So, Shattered Logic, you want your character to be terrifyingly creepy, terror-inducing epic, right? He's a clown. Nuff said.
  13. I'd like to make a new epic. So I can kill him. I'm attempting to plan the intro of my character, Thoron, but I'm pretty much stuck until someone in Astoria manhandles a blueberry in some way, in which case that character would stay alive, or I make a new epic, have him manhandle a blueberry, him and Thoron fight, Thoron wins, and the other epic dies, adding a lot of punch to Thorons intro, (excuse the pun) as opposed to the other epic escaping. He would be stationed in Astoria, before relocating to death's realm, and has regeneration, (though not from death) firing energy beams from his hands, minor telekinesis, and can turn his body into metal. Okay? Nokay? (That's a word, right?) Let me know what you think, and remember. The point of this guy is to die.
  14. So, just checking, the final signup ends June 19th, right? Does that mean the action starts on June 20th? If so, then I'll join. I just have a camp-out this week, and don't get done till Saturday. Everton Slade eyed the crowds as he got on the train. Who knew how many of them could be bandits in disguise, just waiting their chance to rob the train. He thought he noticed a quick motion in the corner of his eye, and spun, but it was just an old woman giving a parting hug to her grandson. Everton hadn't been a lawman for 5 years, but old habits die hard. Out in the roughs, you just assumed everyone was a robber, and was ready for when they proved it to everyone else. But at Alice's bequest, he had left that life to live with her, and a fine 5 years it had been, he reflected as he turned back to the train. But he couldn't leave the place of his birth that easily, and he had finally talked Alice into letting him go back, just once, to see where he lived for the first 25 years of his life. But now, away from her, all his old instincts were tingling. He shook it off. This was just a simple train ride into the country for most of these folks, nothing dangerous, and nothing exciting. But Everton had worn his old duster, just to remind him of what he used to be. And he'd slung on his holster, modified to fit both guns on one side, just in case. He leashed back his worries and stepped onto the train. Nothing but a calming ride down memory lane. Of course, he'd still brought his noose, coiled in a large pocket of his duster. Just in case. Also my first time doing Sanderson Elimination. N00b for the win!
  15. So, I'm getting ready to bring Thoron into Astoria, and I was wondering if there's another new or upcoming epic in that area he could team up with. Let me know if you have a character in that area or are creating one soon, and we can discuss it either via PM or in this thread. Thanks in advance!
  16. He truly does believe himself to be a hero. In fact, that's his motivation for doing just about anything, it to prove that he is a hero, and for the world to believe he is one.
  17. The Epic: Thoron Real Name: Chin Wong Age: 40ish, but looks about 30 Powers: Freeze time, but can't manipulate anything in it, using it mostly for transportation during fighting. Mild shapeshifting, just changing his physical appearance. No part of his body can be harmed. Super strength. Built in hand-to-hand fighting skills, ie martial arts, boxing, street brawling, wrestling. Sees himself as superhero, and tries to base actions around that. If annoyed or inconvenienced, he flies into a killing rage.
  18. That's why he left Illinois, he was trying to get as far away from that as he can, avoiding his past, and trying to make sure that nobody else connects him to that event.
  19. Yeah, I just finished reading the Astoria thread, and was just about to send the PM's when I saw this.
  20. Well, there are a few differences. With his ability, no part of his body can be hurt. With invulnerable skin, you can still get stomach aches, headaches, etc. also, it builds into his motives. He is all about keeping his image up, others image of him, and his image of himself. I don't know how it all works exactly, but it adds to his character and to his motives. And some atrocities that he has commited are mostly minor, setting up other epics to make them look bad, framing many people, killing vanillas left and right, which isn't seen as a felony by most epics, but once, he was attacked by a reckoner cell in Illinois, which made him mad enough that he lost control and talked a fellow epic into running electricity along the power lines, enough to kill every vanilla and some non-high epics, as well as overloading the grid. Then he personally hunted down every remaining epic in the city. He left the city a desolate wreck, completely dead. Then he moved to another state, and began overtaking another city. Any atrocities that he commits, he bases it on the fact that he's a hero, he can't do anything wrong, and finds a reason why it was right. He hasn't really commited any huge atrocities besides the city in Illinois.
  21. Yeah, there's a lot of things that don't make sense, but I figured it was a pretty good outline of a character. Thanks, and I'll go write up my introduction post. Thanks everyone for all your help.
  22. Alright. Apologies, and I'll make sure to avoid that in the future.
  23. So if my characters okay, how do I join the Astoria thread?
