Whew! Plenty to respond to!
1) I, too, am not completely enamored with The Princess Bride. I enjoyed it, but I'm sick of seeing the same three lines repeated over and over again in general discussion. Even fans of Monty Python's Holy Grail are more diverse!
2) Of course Moffett would take that position. His career is based on putting his interpretation on other people's work
Snark aside, it's good he recognizes that and doesn't view himself as some unparrelled genius.
3) World War Z is probably the best zombie novel out there, so if you are interested in that genre, it's a must!
Also, if you consider yourself a zombie aficionado, you should know and read and adore I Am Legend. Yes, it's about vampires, but it inspired and is a precursor to Night of the Living Dead, which is the genesis of the modern zombie genre.
