  1. And what are the rest of us? Chopped liver? *goes and sobs into a pillow*
  2. I'd say its weirdness is what makes it excellent! In part, anyway. I have The City and The City, but have not gotten around to it yet.
  3. It'd be really simple, really. Stick with what you know and merely hint at everything else. I mean, that's all Rowling did to begin with. Stick with a British Boarding School model, invent what you need, mine inconsistencies/vague things in later installments and drop other aspects entirely. With that imo lazy world building, she created what attracted folks to the series: a sense of wonder and discovery. World building wise, I think the fandom puts in waaay more effort than Rowling ever did.
  4. Bell peppers are all right, but people go overboard with them and use minimal preparation. Diced in an omelette or on a pizza? Delicious! Right now, I'm very much in tofu mode. Tofu and miso soup. And a good Rueben...hmm...I may have to pick one of those up after work!
  5. I just assumed it was always Tony Stark
  6. And it's a good one! I'm glad that the trailer somewhat addresses the issue of the Vision being on Team Iron Man. Previously, I was thinking: of course that team is going to win, how are you going to counter act the Vision/Adam Warlock hybrid we have in the cinematic universe?
  7. And they are sooo long and boring!
  8. What's that? Correct the upvote? No problem!Edit to add: Aww, shucks! I accidentally upvoted her instead!
  9. The minimum would be as follows:At least four to five "discussions" that touch on various basic doctrinal points. A certain number of consecutive visits to church (this varies from place to place) A declaration in the belief of the Book of Mormon as bring true. A commitment to follow the Word of Wisdom and Law of Chastity. Other minutia that depends on the person (like quitting drinking, smoking, not having had an abortion or murdered someone, etc.)
  10. The important question is whether Moon Knight is in it...and the Man-Thing! And do you fight the High Evolutionary?
  11. "I am the In-Betweener! I exist to travel and explore the realms separating dichotomies, be they abstract or concrete! Your existence is an affront to my life's purpose! You must be eliminated so that my being continues to have meaning!" Sometimes, I really like comics.
  12. Well, there's time period to be considered as well. It takes a minimum of a year to become a Jehovah Witness. For Mormons, it depends on the area's Mission President. I've seen some where it takes a minimum of a month and others where it is two weeks.
  13. The Chymical Wedding of Christian Rosenkruetz
  14. Seriously? I would say that's endangering the employees of Redacted Inc.
  15. Welcome to new experiences! In my experience, the nervousness and certainty of death disappear once you set forth. It's the anticipation that kills!
  16. At that point, your plan was near completion, as you stole several books right under their noses!
  17. For easily interacting with the various fauna found on the Shard without frightening them away.
  18. The scientific consensus (overwhelming) is that global warming does, in fact, occur. Human industry is also a big contributing factor. Climate change is another concept, though it is related that deals with changes in the environment. The various environmental effects (decreased bee population, "effects" of GMOs, etc) often get lumped into this debate, though this may be somewhat unwarranted. Environmental harm has been perpetrated on both sides (even Al Gore is responsible for some crazy stuff involving Monsato and their flagship product).
  19. We call him "He Who Must Not Be Shaved."
  20. Nah, they communicate only through undocumented, untraceable ways.
  21. I was wondering if I should see that one. Looked interesting to me from the trailer.
  22. I liked it! It certainly is not his best, but I was satisfied with it.And you're not kidding about Donaldson's pacing. All first books in his series (with the exception of The Wounded Land) are slowed down by his setup.
