It's funny how each generation thinks the next one is ruining everything."Saturn is fallen, am I too to fall? Am I to leave this crystal pavilion, these pure vanes of all my lucent empire? The blaze, the splendor, the symmetry? I can not see but darkness...death and darkness!"

Yeah, with what happened in Winter Soldier, I don't think the Captain would be very much into working with government institutions or giving them control over super heroes.

You need only to consider Phlebas, particularly if you look towards windward.

Your Ookla surname is quite appropriate, very thematic! Good job! -
That's actually how I figured out who Ookla the Polearm was.

The reaction of this particular Ookla to the idea of a sparkle-free Ookla can not be comprehended by the minds of mere four dimensional critters.

Loving it! Anyway, I figured out most of you without looking at the profile page, but doing some detective work nontheless. Since I'm not sure if that's cheating, I shant be posting my guesses.

Donald Trump has decided to bless my state with his filthy presence, so this song has been running through my head:

Yeah, even though I told myself and agree that "after the current story line, the show will have past it's peak and should be allowed to end gracefully" it kinda bums me out, too.

Don't do it, Twi! There's a new Gravity Falls episode! *sob* only one more episode left (which is suppose to be "an hour" however that actually translates to TV time). After that, no more new Gravity Falls.

Yes, and some would say that Jesus was only forgiving the Romans. In the church I was raised in, it was taught that Jesus had to be born in Israel because (more or less word for word) "the Jews were the only people in the entire history of the world wicked enough to kill their own God". That's some highly inflammatory rust right there, if you ask me.

Well, I'm glad I'm not the only one. I've set it aside for now mid- Augur's Gambit. It just really intensified Donaldson's weaknesses with regards to "world building" (since he does not create any more than he needs)... and there really isn't much in the way of "oh no, a doom is coming, I hope they survive!" like you had with The King's Justice. I'll finish it, but I'm too stressed at the moment to force myself. So I'm reading The Law of Peoples by John Rawls instead

Leche agria (translated "sour milk") it was called, and is what they drank. Drinking beans may seem like a good idea, but ends up being worse in the end.

Yeah, add some salt, and it's great for dipping tortillas in. You think I'm joking, I'm not. It also goes good with beans. Could never drink it like the old folks, but hey...

Personally, I don't mind utilizing "utilize" because it shows the utility of the utilized object

I'm pleased with being sour cream, the most versatile of condiments! Sure, it isn't Central American cream, but it tries, darn it!
