I really need to read some Kafka that is not The Metamorphosis. What has been putting me off his work is that so many of them are unfinished.

Apparently, very few of his works (all short stories) were published in his lifetime. He charged his executor to burn them upon his death, but he refused and published a few of them and handed down the other manuscripts to family who are now in court with Israel, I believe, for who owns them.

Yeah, it's a mess. The Trial is complete, though.
