  1. Didn't we first see this term first in that one Jasnah excerpt we got a ways back for Stormlight? "Honor's Perpendicularity", specifically.
  2. Everything has it's own soul. Even Stick. There's no components to speak of here?
  3. But yeah. What happens if you somehow artificially put spiritwebs into a spike instead of stealing pieces? Will it bind when you stab the recipient? Can you fit a whole person in one? I never noticed this one. Nice catch.
  4. Technically as Secret History tells you and WoB (as well as the Words of Founding) has said for a while now, Kelsier never really left the story anyway. The loss sensation already lessened when certain things having transpired turn out to involve his dead self . . . being dead has benefits I guess. Or it's just because he's Kelsier and doing Kelsier things. I mean, Ascension is an achievement right? He even has lines in HoA already!
  5. Well, his Leecher ability isn't natural, so he was secretly either a Brute, Coinshot, or Bloodmaker. Or continuity weirdness. Or something else entirely.
  6. Well, if they could figure out how to make a 16-metal-intertwined metalmind this way (according to Allik even 3 abilities is difficult) then sure they could make more Bands by compounding nicrosil. That's actually a clever way to stop the issue of rampant demigods on Brandon's part really, was worried about that. They could probably make, like, specific twinborn medallions though. Especially gold and steel compounder ones (most combat and warfare application really. Infinite muscle mass is stupid and self-hindering), maybe add a second feruchemical power to top it off if they get it right. Could be bad. But at least we won't have an easy army of Lord Rulers.
  7. It doesn't fit the post-BoM understanding either, since Wax tested the goldmind he picked up and it didn't work for him. Whatever is going on, it only happens with nicrosilminds.

She might not be, but he seems to be running the errands in the relationship at least. Figuring out how to fish something out from beneath an ocean must've taken some thought. Or worldhopping to Sel, period, despite the apparently dangerous nature of the Cognitive realm there
  9. It's hard to attack directly, I guess, when half of you insists on preserving your enemies.
  10. Sure they need to store their nicrosil powers. How else would you get more nicrosil ferrings after the "Sovereign" (Kelsier or otherwise) leaves? You need more medallions that create people that can create medallions.
  11. Metal exploding in water is a perfectly normal, nonmagical phenomenon that chemistry teachers probably want excuses to demonstrate, however. Not really Ruinous at all. I'd like to point out that neither shard could create by themselves, so that's the wrong dichotomy to use for Harmony here.
  12. Of course the guy who made the Bands had to be a feruchemist. The crux of the setup is a nicrosilmind bearing the 32 metalborn abilities.
  13. To be honest, the etymology of the name in-world as being born from the Mists still stands . . .
  14. I think she just hangs out too much with people who have spent so many years looking for trouble that trouble just finds its way to them by reputation.

His annotations also occasionally voice complaints about how much (potentially life-endangering) trouble he went through to secure the images in the first place. Khriss is evidently not a very considerate employer . . . Surprised he hasn't quit yet really. It's been, what, centuries? Makes for good jokes for us at his expense though.
  16. To be fair for Sazed though, on the other hand, Kelsier may have a point but he's essentially known to all his companions as the ultimate loose cannon. He is a great man, possibly the greatest they will ever know, but he does what he wants, most of his plans are completely insane, and the scary part is that they almost always work. He sets out to do something and he will perform whatever brand of sheer madness to accomplish it, because Rust and Ruin, who the hell do you think he is? He's Kelsier the Survivor. Sazed might want a . . . safer method. That and Kelsier really should be dead at this point, that much is true. And yes, if you've noticed by now I'm comparing the first two Mistborn eras to Gurren Lagann. Sue me, it makes perfect sense.
  17. Whoever takes initiative and forces the opposing party into a reactionary position has essentially, assuming sufficient skill to see it through, controlled the entire board from the start. You do things that will force them to react in predictable ways, make them think it's their plan going off without a hitch when their plan basically came from you. Make them see success, that they are one step ahead of you, so that they overlook the skipped steps in between (do believe that last bit is actually Vin logic). Leras had basically pulled a Classic Kelsier style plan on the cosmere, it seems. Took the absurd objective and worked the details until everything clicked. All he had to do was start it off and watch Ruin fight himself into a corner.
  18. Perhaps timeline concerns. To show what's going on around Lift now, rather than further into the Desolation where she becomes important? Can't put her past into a novella because that sounds like flashback material.
  19. Well, investiture is in everything, it's not evil. Hemalurgy involves rampant murder though, and Hoid just hates Odium specifically. Not just the force, but Rayse himself. Who is committing rampant murder.
  20. Not really. But Hallendren is geographical weird apparently. Of the "too absurd to be normal" variety. Haven't seen the maps though.
  21. I found myself walking through a cloud today. Can't see anything. I tried to burn it for tin.
  22. Wayne with a shotgun. That was great. His anti-logic ward must have allowed him to simply tell his PTSD to shut up for a while.
  23. A story about Lift driving paperwork-obsessed officials mad and taking their food sounds awesome. Pun intended. It's what happens when you hire a thief as your Prime, guys. He brings crazy thief friends who happen to have awesome supernatural powers.
  24. I don't see how having ten surges is at all special. Difficult to do, yes, but special? In the grand scheme of things no more than mistborn and full feruchemists are, from what we know. Plus you can get the same result with five honorblades. With the presumably sizeable spren population I don't think we'll ever quite get the Almighty back so soon.
  25. Didn't the one thunderclast we've seen just rip itself out of random rock? Do these things even need to be alive anyway? Midnight essence seems to just be loose skin filled with smoke.
