Nightwatcher Boon/Bane (Game)
natc replied to killersquirrel59's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
For both breaking the rules for not granting the previous wish first, and trying to make an idiot of the Nightwatcher, you are now forever alone. Car gets his sandwitch, but is now allergic to cheese. I wish to be nicrosil twinborn in addition to my previous stuff, and that the bane doesn't prevent me from using my powers. -
theory A possible reason odium was able to defeat honor.
natc replied to DrakeMarshall's topic in Cosmere Discussion
Well, Ati was slightly stronger, but not drastically so because of the atium. Until being stuck on Braize, I believe Odium was said to actually hate investing too much in one place? -
They likely had to do it all before the intent corruption became a hopeless case as well.

Hence why I mentioned the nine big pieces. Tailed Beasts are pretty prominent and practically Stormfather-level . . . they come with their own abilities too, when bonded . . .

House Ladrian has two noble founding ancestors, both strong allomancers, so they're also far from weak in bloodline. Plus apparently Wax/Asinthew has relatively pure Terris blood as well. Come to think of it this marriage is pretty much a recipe for metalborn children. Better chance of twinborn than most others too. Do we actually know of another twinborn noble?

You could create ferring medallions to be compounded using the original Bands of Mourning, I suppose, or the Sovereign could create individual medallions as a starting point.

The Well of Ascension was magnetic north, so I find that unlikely. Some of the land formations in the Empire are still visible on the maps, so they haven't moved too far.

Well by Naruto history "Shinju" would be the only being of notable power at the onset. And has been splintered, leaving his corpse and Shadow, the nine big pieces, and all the tiny bits bound to every human. It seems they learned to manipulate the chakra in them though, and shape it in specific forms to do certain things. I'd pin it as one of the more technical ones like AonDor. Research goes into that stuff.

A character very central to the story despite (because of) having already died. And we don't get to see his name until less than 50 pages before the end.

Nobody ever assumed Harmony had no power. He clearly can terraform, do genetic modifications on an entire planet, move planets and all that jazz. He's just got two intents yelling at him to do completely opposite and mutually defeating things simultaneously, which ends in him not doing much of anything. Leras and Ati are also dead as of Harmony's Ascension so I'm not sure what they have to do with him at all.

Bands of Mourning, Chapter 4.

Well, she's noble. What kind of noble doesn't have latent allomantic blood Especially when the bloodline in question is that of the Lord Mistborn.
-
Well I suppose you could just ask him.

With the motivators, the powers came from Prof and he acknowledges this, plus the fact that he screwed up by letting David leave with his cells to prepare them. With Tavi, he might still subconsciously think those were his powers. Or perhaps Tavi actually did exist, but died and he felt like he failed her. The Firefight world has a strange chain of reversed situations going on, after all, as if David's world is that "everyone is evil" mirror AU comic books love.

Well actually it's mentioned to be way easier to just carve a weapon from wood and then soulcast it. But apparently aluminum is known to be only obtainable by soulcasting, so I'd imagine soulcasting is not the norm.

Why would you even want to stab them with bracers though? It wouldn't help . . .

Also, for frozen wasteland or high mountain types, feruchemy is a no-brainer because that's what it was traditionally used for before the Final Empire.

So why exactly is Nightblood so stupendously overpowered?
natc replied to kroen's topic in Warbreaker
Well the Reod was the chasm forming and the subsequent aftereffects. The Shaod is the actual mechanism. But IIRC humans elsewhere lack a breath that can be donated or taken from themselves. -
I haven't read this wall of debate in its entirety yet, but I don't recall myself saying Calamity had a change of heart specifically. Staring down your worst nightmare (in this case, having interfered too much on the basis of being utterly wrong about everything) is usually grounds for people to either curl up in fetal positions or just up and bail.

[Secret History spoilers] Did we just get another Shard named?
natc replied to PallonianFire's topic in Mistborn
Prior to the Deepness I don't believe anyone actually realized allomancy existed. Plus people strong enough to naturally snap without mists appear to have been extremely rare (they do exist, Alendi was a Seeker spiked to have stronger seeking like Vin). But I digress. Defining "lucky" is kind of a strange notion for a shard to be concerned with in my opinion. I really want to know what chromium feruchemy does . . . -
On that previous subject about Prof's weakness, I wonder what Steelheart's full weakness is . . . just someone not afraid of him bypasses his powers, but doesn't negate them completely. So there must be a more specific trigger in mind that involves not being afraid of him.

Well you can't really say he's exactly an Epic, so both seem like major gambles to me . . .
