  1. I believe there's a hard limit. Size definitely matters when it comes to metalminds (and metal purity and/or perfection in alloy mixes may also play a part to capacity), and there's definitely an upper limit to storage. It's just very difficult to hit that limit on anything of substantial size if you're not Compounding.
  2. @garlick, Spoiler tags can be used either by clicking on the eyeball at the top of your text window, or manually by using [ spoiler ] [ /spoiler ] (minus the spaces). And please, when you're not sure about how to do something, feel free to ask people. Whether staff or just a veteran member, folks are usually quite happy to help out new posters learn the ropes.
  3. Hee. I'm still waiting for @Chaos to, like, challenge me to a duel or something for achieving the Lord Ruler rank before he did.
  4. @Quiver is Best Pony.
  5. Fun fact: once upon a time, I knew someone on Livejournal whose little brother had gone to high school with Jensen Ackles. Thus she had access to his yearbook pictures. OMG guys. Jensen was the cutest. cheerleader boy. EVER.
  6. I'll take the first of those three options.
  7. There are plenty of venues in which I would have found that interjection humorous. The Shard, however, is not one of them.
  8. From the datestamp, I'd say you've been waiting approximately 5 1/2 months.
  9. I sent my husband roses. He likes them.
  10. Ehhh. I think it's bending them at the very least, but as a Moderator my role is not really heavily on the rules enforcement side. The sort answer to the second question is: I don't know. I've hidden posts before to avoid what was a highly probable breakdown into vitriol, but there was precedent for that spiraling into problems and I still kind of felt like I was walking pretty close to the line.
  11. @Darkness Ascendant, come on. You've been here long enough to know that sort of thing is not appropriate.
  12. Or how about just my name? Yeah, there's a huge difference between formal written language and spoken. Plus, that written convention assumes you're using the last name, not the first. Ms. Williams is an acceptable form of address for me via written communication. Addressing me in spoken language as "Miss Rosemary" however will cause the hair on the back of my neck to raise and one of the muscles in my jaw will start twitching.
  13. People at work who when addressing me insist on putting "Miss" in front of my first name. Stop it. Just stop. I know you think it's polite or something, but it isn't. It's infantilizing and annoying and this little habit or tradition or whatever it is needs to go die in a fire.
  14. I need to shower. And I need to write. And possibly eat some lunch. *looks at time; it is 1PM* Perhaps not in that order.
  15. The user content doesn't look like a bot. Low post count, but most of those posts actually look like pertinent Sanderfan posts.
  16. @Quiver - What @Oversleep said. TAKE the days. They are yours. You earned them. And it's not like you're calling in sick, so they have plenty of time to schedule people without having to call folks a few hours beforehand. (Or if they do that, it's management's fault, not yours.)
  17. PoGo gives me notifications on my phone; it's odd that you don't get them. I also follow Otakukart's Pokemon Go page on Facebook. They're kind of annoying with some of their rampant, baseless speculation, but they throw out the event announcements fairly promptly. That's correct, it's lures. Part of the whole "paint the town pink" theme of things. I'll probably be heading out to the Nelson-Atkins sculpture park around the museum, cause it's just littered with Pokestops. This event plus the nice weather is going to pull a lot of players out of hiding, which is always good for spawns.
  18. Please understand that my experience is highly atypical. I have some screwball genetic things going on with me, and one of those things is that I have very small blood vessels. My biggest mistake yesterday was in not advocating for myself sufficiently and allowing them to put an inexperienced person in charge of insertion. Once she had the needle in badly it was a LOT harder to put into place than it would have been had someone highly skilled done it from the get-go. Very few people have the problems that I do. Honestly, if I had a less useful blood type, I probably wouldn't bother. But I'm A positive; not a universal donor, but about a third of humanity has the same type. If I could give you some of my excess pounds, I totally would.
  19. It's been a month since this thread was last posted in, yet I still feel slightly dirty for the double post. Valentine's Event has begun! Double candy, increased spawn of pink Pokemon, and six hour(!) lures. Paint the town pink, my friends! (It's going to be near 70 degrees on Saturday, so imma get a good Pokewalk in.) Oh, @Titan Arum, later the same day I met you, I caught my first Snorlax! I feel like you're good luck for Pokemon catches now.
  20. damnation, man, that sucks. I'm sorry. Slightly less bad day: (Spoiler cut due to discussion of blood donation. If you are at all squeamish about these things, you probably shouldn't click.) I swear to gods, if I didn't have a blood type that matches one-third of the human race, I'd have called it quits then and there and declared Never Again. As it is, I am never allowing anyone but the best person they have on their team to try to do a needle insert, and if they argue I will threaten to walk. Because if I have to go through that rust one more time, I will be done.
  21. But...but...but... I don't wanna
  22. Eh, it's your own thread. I think you're fine. (Maybe I should resurrect my AMA...)
  23. Ahh! You've snuck back in again! Just when I thought that I was the last pony avatar standing...
  24. Alas, poor joke! I knew it well, Bleeder: a joke of infinite jest, of most excellent fancy. OK, wait, no, it was a lame joke unworthy of a Shakepearean lament. I think it's certainly reasonable to surmise that Harmony is limited with how much he can tinker with Hemalurgical creations. Shards in general don't consciously create their magic systems, so there may well be a limit to what he can do to adjust them. Arcanum Unbound/Allomancer Jak spoilers: I never claimed that it was a good joke.
