    it's actually suggested in one of the HoA epigraphs that she might have done that, so I'd say it's a possibility.

    in that case, the simplest way for that problem to be solved would be for whoever was threatening him and his family to be either killed or incapacitated so they couldn't carry out the threat, or something like that.

    the Weeping lasts for four weeks (20 days) and there is a single highstorm in the middle of it, and the end of it is used to mark the beginning of a new year, since it's the only predictable weather, what with the screwy seasons and all.

    the thing about King T. was said recently at the Manchester signing, there's a report in the events forum, unfortunately I do not recall where the bit abut Hoid's ability to see the future,came from, but I believe it is fairly recent.

    well we know Hoid can skip forward in time (but he's also lived more years then a normal person could), so I guess that's possible, but since we have no idea how it works.....

    he obviously got a spike for feruuchemical atium and then started Compounding like whoa. Or at least that's the only explanation I can think of, beyond the obvious "MAGIC!"

    well by the games description you need to have an equal amount of the attribute you plan to use actually stored, whether this is just for the sake of game-balance sanity or whether it's an actual canonical rule remains to be seen.

    obviously it will be on a Linux machine.

    bendalloy stores calories, as in, you need to eat a lot while storing, and can later tap to go without food for a long time. Cadmium works the same with oxygen, you get out of breath easier while storing, and can go without air while tapping.

    only thing I can think of is hemalurgy as he only needed one spike to pull off the atium-compounding thing, of course, then you have to wonder where he's getting the atium. And where he got the spike from. Or whatever trick Hoid uses to skip forward in time I guess.

    Reverse Lashing seems pretty in tune with Gravity to me, it's hard to see how pressure enters into it. Also, the voice Kaladin hears in his dream implies that "riding the storms" was not uncommon in the past, which wouldn't be the case if it was a specific attempt by something to communicate with Kaladin. So I'm fairly sure the "storm riding" is the Windrunners "something else".

    so does this mean that there is/was 3 shards BESIDES Odium on Roshar at one point? This totally messes up our counting!

    one spike makes multiple earrings, yes, you can split the charge, you lose a bit in the process, but for the purposes of the earrings, only a tiny charge is needed or wanted anyway.

    I always thought he was just worried it would upset Renarin if he knew Dalinar doesn't remember Renarin's mom anymore.
