Lasers are doable. No word on microwaves specifically but it would be hard to do I think because people cannot directly perceive microwaves.

What Radiant Order is Adolin? [OB]
CrazyRioter replied to Glaedr Firnen's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think it's the other way round. In order to revive her he'll have to form a proper nahel bond with her. I think that process is already beginning but it's a slower and more difficult process then usual because of her current state. -
Brandon has said "Hoid is not always rational but he is scared of Nightblood" lol. So he's rational in that respect.

There's probably lots of other factors involved like which starts soonest, or who feeds the Plate the most stormlight the fastest. I doubt you could get two sets of Plate out of it.

What Radiant Order is Adolin? [OB]
CrazyRioter replied to Glaedr Firnen's topic in Stormlight Archive
I personally think he'll need to say at least the first three Ideals of the Edgedancers to 'free" her from being trapped in Blade form. -
Eh at this point I prefer Kalarin.

Rotspren applying forward orientation. Rashek appoints fourteen obligators.

What Radiant Order is Adolin? [OB]
CrazyRioter replied to Glaedr Firnen's topic in Stormlight Archive
We've discussed this before but I think what happens if he proposes that is that she metaphorically slaps some sense into him and spurs him into chosing to live and not to give up on himself, leading him swearing the First Ideal. -
What Radiant Order is Adolin? [OB]
CrazyRioter replied to Glaedr Firnen's topic in Stormlight Archive
I feel like it's a better story if Adolin and Maya bond on their own, rather than somebody just walking in and fixing everything. Also Dalinar has already been subjected to a bunch of new powers as the plot demands. -

Personally I think we have enough Windrunner characters, what with Kaladin, and Teft being "officia"l Shardbearing Windrunners, Lopen having bonded a spren, and all the squires. But I'll admit I'm also more partial to the Edgedancers than the Windrunners so there's that. -
The NW can change a person's species, so I presume she could also change their anatomical sex. Whether it's possible to do through the healing that Stormlight can grant, for example we don't know.

Is it possible to imprison a Shard?
CrazyRioter replied to Fanghur Rahl's topic in Cosmere Discussion
the body is "vaporized" but it still kind of exists. Like, when Ati and Leras die they leave corpses behind. -
The guess I've seen for Chana is that she's Liss, the assassin Jasnah talks to the prologue of WoR.
-
In all seriousness, Rithmatist was originally planned as Cosmere until Brandon decided he didn't want even a variant Earth in the Cosmere. That's why the magic system shows such strong Cosmere influences.

I think that most people are not particularly concerned by what they taste like. Though soulcasters also get weird mental effects from their savantism so maybe meat soulcasters are concerned about what they taste like >.>.

I don't really see Rock as a Lightweaver. In my book, it's not just telling lies that makes you a lightweaver but repression or denial. Rock doesn't seem to be repressing anything within himself. He's just not telling other people stuff.

What Radiant Order is Adolin? [OB]
CrazyRioter replied to Glaedr Firnen's topic in Stormlight Archive
I think Adolin fits the Edgedancers well, even his concern and consideration for Maya herself treating her almost more like a person than a thing in some ways even before he knew she is a dead spren fits the ideal of "remembering the forgotten". -
I imagine meat soulcasting ends up with what is effectively super magic cancer.

game Would You Rather? -a Game
CrazyRioter replied to The Tenth Pancake's topic in Forum Games & Random Stuff
Elantris. I like it but it shows that it's his first novel. Plus Warbreaker currently has more general cosmere connections. would you rather be a lifeless or a slaveform singer? -
So you can hit somebody in the soul with a Shardweapon in a blunt form but it's not really the default.

I feel like I'm basically the only person in the whole fandom that does NOT want Navani to be a Bondsmith. Like it's not that I don't like her, I do, it's just that I feel like the Bondsmiths should be different people from different cultures and stuff to bring together a wide range of people and having two of them be a married couple raised in the same culture feels redundant.

I kind of think Kaladin might die eventually tbh. I like him but he just feels like the kind of character that's destined to perform a heroic sacrifice. Adolin also might die but I really really hope he does not. I want the thing with Maya to pan out.
-
I guess it depends on how good you are with a bow and arrow. Rock could make good use of a Shardarrow I imagine. And hitting any of their internal organs would mess them up pretty good in the long run if not in the short run.

Szeth is like twice his age so no, lmao. Come to think of it we don't know how old Venli is exactly so it makes it a bit hard to ship her with anyone.

He's the only unattached main character at this point unless Szeth counts so it's not a surprise.
