  1. When you realise the old adage "health is wealth" should be inverted to "wealth is health" for Radiants.
  2. Do we know if the Shattered plains were truely shattered at some point in the past or they only appear shattered. It could be that Stormseat and its surrounding area was already symmetrical like Kholinar. After Stormseat was abandoned or its inhabitants got massacred somehow, crem started to deposit over the symmetrical rock formations resulting in formations of plateaus. As the plateaus grew bigger, the gap between them became deeper and became chasms. My theory is based on the discovery of intact buildings on the plateaus. If the plains were shattered by some massive force we would not expect to find any standing buildings there. However if the shattering part is true, then it is probable that symmetrical cities like Kholinar were also created by some shattering force in the distant past.
  3. A shardblade would be useful for miners, sculptors, demolition teams and magicians. Doctors could use it rarely to amputate quickly. Lets leave aside assassins, robbers and their types. Anything else?
  4. Cool. Back to back Reckoner books will be Epic! (Pun intended!). Thanks for the confirmation Peter
  5. I cannot help wondering if Brandon plans to complete the Reckoners trilogy before beginning Stormlight 3 since Calamity is 2nd on the current projects list.. Really don't know whether to be happy or sad.
  6. Reading this thread a thought popped in my mind. Let's suppose an army of few thousand men have been marching together for few days and they have begun to identify themselves as an army. Will the army have a single cognitive identity? In that case the army can be soulcasted with relative ease. What do you think? Is it possible?
  7. When your mobile browser has two tabs permanently opened - Brandon's site and 17th shard. When you see Peter's photo on Brandon's twitter handle and can't decide who's looking more cute - Peter or his daughter.
  8. Odium must be so afraid of sodium now. (Please don't mind. The sodium thing left me in splits) An upvote for the humor. Anyway, I think splintering matters only to the Shardholders. The people on the world don't have to worry as the Shardsplinters still remain invested on the planet. Besides the Cosmere expanded to several planets only due to the shattering of big A. Can't find anything wrong with that.
  9. Lighteyes are often called Brightlords and Brightness. Wonder if these names are remnants of the earlier age of Radiants with actual glowing bright eyes rather than just a lighter shade of eye colour.
  10. Your wish is granted. But you will fail in grammar. An extra 1 inch in natural height is yours truely's desire.
  11. I was reading the Percy Jackson books for last few years and I liked them up to Mark of Athena. But then I discovered Steelheart and suddenly everything changed. The last two were pretty much non-happening for me except the Frank Zhang and Reyna parts. Bye bye Riordan.
  12. Granted. You will be very happy right upto the point a Mistborn shoots coins at you. (Your status is Hazekiller right now) I wish a highprince gave me a gemheart for free.
  13. Ya. The Sadeas example looks definite. A rough, uncut gem that glows is most likely due to Stormlight. Kind of missed that because none of the character explicitly comment about the gemhearts being infused with stormlight when harvested.
  14. Is it significant that we never saw a glowing gemheart being harvested from a chasmfiend or a pupating one? Or can it be explained in some other way?
  15. Have we considered how a gemheart inside a great shell can get infused with Stormlight? Spheres and regular gems need direct exposure to Stormlight during storms- keeping them indoors leaves them dun. Is it possible that the greatshells directly absorb stormlight via a bond with their symbiotic spren and store it in their gemhearts?
  16. I tend to visualise the Unmade as similar to the Ringwraiths/Nazgûl of LoTR in their relation to Odium and Sauron respectively. Just a hunch, no solid reason. Just like the Ringwraiths were chief lieutenants of Sauron, had special powers and were corrupted men, the Unmade seem to have special powers and are most likely Odium's chief lieutenants. I don't know what the Unmade actually are, but I wouldn't be surprised if they turn out to be similar to the Ringwraiths.
  17. When you think that all swords in fantasy movies should behave like shardblades (looking at you LoTR) and expect slo-mo visual graphics for shardblades in action.
  18. You wished for it. Granted. Humans are now extinct and the world is at peace.I wish to study at the rate of 100 pages/hr.
  19. Granted. All the rich people will become poor. If everyone is poor, then no one is poor. I wish I could jump across chasms.
  20. Dato. Et dabo domum tuam ostendere errores etiam maior quam ventus flabello Sanderson rationes. Volo Prime est insuperabilis. (Used Google translate. ) Edit: on reverse translation I realised, the original translation is not very accurate.
  21. Granted. Now you have to work that much harder to deserve it. I wish to be a non-organic form of life.
  22. Started with Mistaken for Pregnant --> The Heralds of Valdemar --> Broken Bird --> Mistborn --> Brandon Sanderson This is hilarious. Connecting Brandon to Mistaken for Pregnant was priceless.
  23. Granted. Just wait for a year or two till it comes out. I wish there were dolphins on Roshar.
